We had to make calls and, luckily, for us, someone was still in the building next door and helped us. On the day of the class, our instructor was excellent, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. We definitely were very pleased with her and her class. But Stichin Heaven did not put new blades in the rotary cutters, and we had a difficult time trimming our fabric. We were concerned someone would cut themselves on the dull blades. I just feel Stichin Heaven has very poor customer service.

They had a little area for classes, where it looked like a private lesson was going on; but I couldn't find any information on upcoming classes. It would've been nice if they'd had that posted somewhere in the store. A tip: When you check out, do not let them put your purchases in one of their plastic bags!! Geeez!! They smell really bad like mice!!!!!! And it was a little uncomfortable being told that their restrooms are only for customers - I mean, when someone comes in your store - someone who appears and smells respectable, speaks in a respectful manner, and - is obviously not a vagrant, - and you say that to them.... I gotta tell you, it kinda makes them want to just leave, even if they had originally planned to spend quite a lot of money in your store. Just saying.

It really is a one stop shop for all things quilting. Excellent organization and high quality merchandise throughout. Everything for every skill level, new beginners or seasoned quilters. Staff is very friendly and helpful, but don't hover over shoppers, giving you space to explore. They also do mail order, but the store is so nice, we'll have to add it to our "road trip" schedule!

However, after spending over an hour in the car to try to get here from my aunt's house in Greenville, I was rudely yelled at by the owner when entering the store. "We close in 6 minutes!!!" This was the beginning of the end for me... I live in Houston so I only get to come here when I'm in town visiting family or if I make a special trip to come stock up on fabric. I happened to be in town the weekend of Easter and tried to come here on the Friday before Easter, only to find a handwritten sign on the door that they were closed (for Good Friday) and would be open again the next day. That was a bummer, but I asked my husband if we could try to come back on Saturday as I bought fabric from here previously and I needed more of it. My family in the area lives in Greenville, so it was quite a drive to get here from their house. I saw here on Yelp that they close at 4:30pm, so we rushed and I ended up walking in 6 minutes to 4pm. How do I know this? Because as soon as I walked in, the owner screamed "we close in 6 minutes!!!" at me. I responded, "online says 4:30pm and I'm from out of town". She rudely replied "well online is wrong - we've tried to fix it but it's wrong". I rushed to grab my fabric and with 2 minutes left to 4pm, she yelled from the front "are you ready to check out?!" They had already rushed everyone else (all 2 other people) out the door and I was the only one left. Listen, I get that it was a Saturday and you're trying to go home....but you weren't open the day before due to a holiday and you now have a customer in front of you who's ready to spend money and also told you that she's in from out of town... To be treated so rudely, by the OWNER, nonetheless, is absolutely unacceptable. Next time I'm in town, I'm sticking to spending my money at the other 3 fabric warehouses next door as I will NOT be coming back to this place.

Great prices... clean store... bad customer service…read more Today WOULD have been my third visit, except I was RUSHED out the door and told they were closed.. 10 minutes before they actually closed. Then the rude lady who pushed me out the door felt the need to correct me and say it was 5 minutes until closing, and that they didn't have any customers so they were closing early.. It wouldn't be a big deal but I sat in over an hour of traffic to get there and really needed 20 yards of fabric to finish a project that is to install tomorrow. Awful customer service from this particular lady.

She also made sure to check each person to make sure they're on pace. They have everything you need but you are welcome to bring your own machine to class so you can learn to work with it. They make you do threading three times so you can remember well. I love that bc I've taken sewing class before at other places where we did threading once and I didn't remember that's why I came to this one. It was fun and super cool we got to make something!

I plan on coming back and taking a quilting class soon since everyone was so welcoming and nice. Large selection all priced at 12.99/yard there was a small selection on clearance for 8.99. One other interesting is that they have a laser printer there and make little plastic patterns that could be re-used for years, along with other custom projects. Definitely a neat place to drop by and hangout/kill time if you're into sewing/quilting!
