    Salmon Kiss
    Christina Q.

Located inside the H-Mart, Min Sushi is one of 5 stalls in the food court. Wanted a bite to eat before grocery shopping, the Salmon Kiss and Tuna Love maki rolls hit the spot. At 15.00 per roll, its not bad for the price considering the rolls are massive. Ingredients are pretty fresh but I am disappointed that he salmon kiss filling was a crab mixture and not actual salmon.

This place has lots of potential. Min Sushi locates in the Foodcourt inside H Mart. Currently it is the only restaurant opens and the rest are under renovation. There are choices of sushi, maki, cooked food, soup noodles. The price is on the higher side. We ordered a Hue Dup Bap (korean seafood bowl), pork cutlet, seafood Udon. Service was pretty slow and we waited for awhile to get our food. Hue dup bap came with a big bowl of chopped fish, lettuce, rice and spicy sauce which you can adjust the amount of spiciness. Fish was fresh and in generous portion. This was the best among the food we ordered. Pork cutlet came with very small portion of rice, fried dumplings, crab meat rolls, salad and a bowl of soup. Taste was good but wish the pork cutlet size is bit bigger. Seafood Udon is okay and nothing special. Would I come back? Maybe just for the Hue dup bap.

Did anyone else order spicy salmon roll? There isn't any salmon in spicy salmon roll, there's only fried flour

Taki is a fine dining Japanese restaurant located in the busy commerical areas of Richmond Hill…read more We recently had lunch here for a special occasion. The restaurant is super quiet and they offer great quality of food with great service, and the price is expensive if you choose to order sukiyaki set (expect $80+ per person). You can choose between sushi sets at different price level or sukiyaki from the menu. This suits the need of our group given some people prefer sushi but some couldn't eat raw food. They also offer a couple of limited appetizer dishes such as tempuras and unagi don. If you booked the sukiyaki table and want to order sushi, you need to call them in advance to notify which sushi sets you want. We tried the sashimi and sushi courses at $55, which included miso soup, 5 pieces of sashimi, 8 pieces of sushi (squid, toros, salmon, scallop etc.), handroll and matcha or black sesame icecream at your choice. The sushi is smaller than average, suitable for small eaters. The course is totally worth the money. I love every piece of sashimi and my favourite sushi include the scallop and the squid. Everything was super fresh. The dessert was also having the perfect sweetness level for me. In addition, we also tried the sukiyaki for two ($110), which includes mushrooms, cabbages, great quality of Angus beef, yummy tofu and udon. Again, all the material was with great quality and super fresh. I especially liked the sweet sukiyaki soup, the tofu and the udon. We also ordered some shareable dishes including chawanmushi, unagi don and cod. Cod was cooked to perfect (soft and flavourful), and unagi don had quite decent portion. It would be better if the unagi could be softer from my personal opinion. Chawanmushi was mediocre. Overall, I strongly recommend this restaurant to fan of Japanese cuisine. It meets different people's needs by offering both cooked and raw food options, and the sushi set definitely has great value for money.

That's because every other guest was a well-known "regular" -- a very good sign. We were ushered through the tranquil restaurant and seated at the sushi bar, a zen ambience. We chose the $55 sushi+sashimi omakase lunch course, and it didn't disappoint. The eight pieces of nigiri featured a somewhat typical selection of fish (and hotate/scallop), but slightly edgy and unique in the choice of seasoning and flavours, prepared by Chef Takinami with all the pomp and ceremony and you would expect from fine omakase. The pacing was excellent, we never felt rushed from piece to piece; the wait staff were attentive as would be expected from a high-end Japanese restaurant, on par with omakases that cost three times as much. Overall, incredible value on the meal, for both the food and experience. We couldn't help but look around at what the regulars were enjoying (in addition to their omakase nigiri) -- botan ebi nigiri with deep fried shrimp heads, chawanmushi, cooked dishes featuring monk fish livers, tempura appetizers and more... some great ideas for our next visit!

You heard me, I didn't need to save money for months or really wait until it was a special occasion to make a reservation. You have the choice of a $45 or $65 lunch menu. Both my partner and I chose the $65 option and we were definitely full. Because it was Monday, we were the only ones at 11:30am and loved the experience. The restaurant did start filling up at noon, but we really enjoyed our time there. Other than the snowcrab, every single piece of sashimi and nigiri were spot on. I really don't think you can find fresh fish and such excellent service for this price. A normal meal is around $40 nowadays, so why not treat yourself a little better and come to ATO?

I really enjoyed the Salmon, Butterfish, and Sweet Shrimp sashimi. Next we ordered a few rolls all they all came out presented beautifully as you will see from my photos. It was nice to see dim sum items and I was skeptical at first but they were really good quality too! Same with their hot menu items were delicious. The only thing I really did not like was their short ribs, it was really chewy and not edible. Finally, dessert was very good and i really liked that asian chocolate flavour for icecream. There are plent of seats inside and the service was quick. I would recommend you come here once and you might come back on your own a second time.

The fish was very fresh, the rolls were well-sized with a good rice-to-filling ratio, and the sashimi cuts were thick and satisfying. Our favorites were the salmon, butterfish, and sweet shrimp. The hot food selection was a pleasant surprise. The grilled whole squid was smoky and well-seasoned. The cheese wontons were crispy, and the addition of crab to the cream cheese filling was a nice touch. The dim sum options were also decent, with tasty har gow and shrimp siu mai. A standout was the crab claw balls, something you rarely see at AYCE spots. They were crispy and packed with umami, and easily one of our favorites. The only miss was the grilled calbi, which was overcooked to the point of being tough and difficult to eat. If you post an Instagram story and tag them, you can get one free drink in-store. We tried the sparkling green grape, which tasted like a carbonated version of the classic Chinatown tube drinks from childhood. If AYCE is not your thing, they also offer a BOGO takeout promotion on a selection of menu items available through Uber Eats or their website.

Ordered tempura vegetables and shrimp with 6 pieces total was only around $9. This tempura tasted truly delicious compared to other pricier restaurants! The whole staff greeted us the moment we came in with smile and felt their kindness/patience while we were looking through the menu. They were very accommodating with changing spicy salmon roll to dynamite roll in the dinner sushi sets for me since I don't eat spicy food. Other restaurants would always charge extra regardless if the price was the same or cheaper. The rice ratio for the rolls was PERFECT! Definitely the best one I've seen by far. I would love to try their signature rolls next time to see if they're the same. I would come here again for lunch and check them out. -1 star because: The sushi to rice ratio is a little too much so I had to take some off unfortunately. Also the salad that comes with the sets was bland, lettuce and 3 strings of beets.

The rolls were not just basic rolls, they were packed with flavour, texture (tempura bits) and had an excellent rice-meat ratio. The salmon terriyaki portion was amazing.
