This review is for a completely different service by a completely different person then I have…read morereviewed in the past at Cala Luna. As I have mentioned before, this is a place where individuals rent space under the same roof, so each person runs their own business. With that clarification let's move forward. The last couple of years I have been tinting my eyebrows to make them visible as they are naturally very blonde. I was informed of a new esthetician, Booma, who had moved into a space, was offering microblading. I had considered this in the past but was very unsure since it is comparable to a tattoo. But after checking out the many pictures of great looking results and texting back and fourth with Booma and many inconsistencies with dates offered I scheduled with her. By inconsistency I mean I was set for end of May to be contacted that she gave me the wrong dates and ended up not being available even though she had sent the specific dates so my appt was moved to 3 weeks earlier then planned. That should have been my warning, but I was understanding this happens and didn't want to upset the person putting ink to my face. I had chosen the combo package which included some ombré and some microblading for a more natural look. I was told to plan 4-5 hours for the appt. When I arrived Booma was very friendly and professional. I really liked her demeanor. I did find out she has been doing this less than a year, which again made me question myself what I was doing but trusted the pictures she had posted for her business. My appointment did not last as long as quoted which surprised me. I was there only maybe 2-2 1/2 hours. My brows were very dark but from what I had researched that was normal. I followed Booma's aftercare instructions to a tee. Within the week my eyebrows were peeling which was normal. However, only the color from the ombré style was coming through leaving blank spaces and blank lines without color. Not one single hairline from the microblading appeared. So I scheduled a follow up. In which I was contacted 2 weeks later Booma had someone else scheduled same time (sure) so I had to be rescheduled - again. My follow up appointment actually took longer than my initial appointment at about 3hours. Some more of the ombré was added and the microblading was completely redone with a darker color. Now that it is somewhat healed, the microblading again did not turn out again but it seems worse this time around because it looks like make up residue on my eyebrows rather than hairlines. Now I will definitely have to use a brow pencil every day until I get it fixed. I do not have greasy skin and I only point this out as one of the major factors Booma kept throwing out there why the color was not staying. I even confirmed with my regular esthetician to confirm my skin type. On her site are only after service pictures. The only exceptions are before touch up pictures- again no true end result pictures. As far as being professional and likable, Booma is all the above. The shape of my eyebrows are great! Maybe this is a learning curve for her. If by chance my eyebrows change in the mean time and more color ends up coming through, I will update my review. But as of now, I would recommend holding off if wanting microblading until there are many more reviews and pictures of the complete finished product. See I am updating my review since I should be fully healed. I stand by my previous review. My eyebrows are 100% ombré- not what I was looking for. There are microblading lines that are dotted, smudged like dots but not 1 single smooth hairline for more natural look. I originally posted a review with my concerns on her Facebook page and was not only attacked by Booma but her friends for posting how disappointed I was. I have not looked recently but at that point she had absolutely no real end result pictures. I will reiterate here - the shape is great, the ombré seems to work for Booma, however the microblading is bad. We even tried the second round with a darker color. I do not have oily skin. I followed care instructions to a tee. I would highly recommend going somewhere else.

I got my hair cut by Michelle today, and it went GREAT! Michelle was very patient while communicating with me about my new look, and offered some good advice. She paid great attention to the details, made sure that my hair style looked perfect from each angle. I am more than happy to finally find Michelle to take care of my hair from now on. Why did I choose Michelle? As an Asian, I constantly experienced disappointing results with the high-rating hair salons, and most of my previous hairstylists seemed to ignore the fact that I have a very different hair type. Since I am new to Westerville, I followed Yelp rating and checked out a few local hair salons, including "Bon Cher". Not like other hands-full hairstylists in other salons I visited, Michelle welcomed me immediately upon my arrival, made efforts to squeeze the time from her busy schedule to listened to me. After I raised my concern, she looked at me closely and carefully, summarized the features and problems of my hair. I had to say, she really knew my hair! "Don't worry, I can handle your hair", she smiled with confidence. I knew instantly and instinctually that she could deliver what she promised. And I made the right choice!

She sat with me and looked at photos I had pulled from pinterest (her suggestion) and decided what would work with texture of my hair. She really listened me. The process took 4 hours but WOW the results were amazing. Honestly I feel 10 years younger! And a huge plus it was not as expensive as my previous shop. I'll definitely be returning to Jacqui.

Not a professional and high-quality service as expected…read more I've been a client at Hair Artists for several years, which is why this experience was so disappointing. I arrived on time for my appointment, but was asked (while en route) to come 45 minutes later due to the stylist running behind from a previous client. When I arrived, my scheduled wash, cut, and style was changed to a dry cut to "move things along." While this was presented as a small savings, it ultimately meant receiving less than what I had booked--without any real benefit to me. The entire appointment felt rushed, and I left feeling like I had to accommodate the salon's schedule rather than receive the level of care and attention expected from a high-quality, professional salon. This was especially frustrating given that the delay was caused by another client, yet the impact was passed on to me. This also wasn't my first experience with scheduling issues here, which made this visit more concerning. This salon is lowering its standard. Rethink your decision to go to this salon. It's expensive, and not worth the price.

Long-Time Client Left Feeling Undervalued and Underserved…read more I've been going to Hair Artists for nearly two years and have generally had positive experiences, which makes this most recent visit especially disappointing. Along with writing this review very difficult to write. On my way to my scheduled 1:00 PM appointment with Ren, I received a call asking me to arrive 45 minutes later because she was running behind. I later learned that the delay was due to the previous client arriving 45 minutes late. This was inconvenient for my schedule, so I called the salon to let them know I was already on my way. I was told they could "accommodate" me, which was frustrating, as I was the one arriving on time for my scheduled appointment. Before I even arrived, the situation had already created stress. Upon arrival, I was informed that my appointment would be changed from a wash, cut, and style to a dry cut so they could move things along more quickly. This was not what I had scheduled or wanted. Essentially, I was being asked to adjust my service to fit their schedule, with no real benefit to me. Nancy at the front desk mentioned, "We'll only charge you for the cut and blow dry--it's a $20 savings," but this did not reflect the experience I had booked or expected. In reality, it wasn't a true discount, as a blow-dry in place of a full style is already priced lower--at $20 cheaper --so while it may have sounded like a savings, it wasn't one. At that point, I felt like I had to accommodate the situation rather than receive the level of professional service I had booked. I came in expecting the time, attention to detail, and overall experience that have kept me returning to this salon. Instead, the appointment felt rushed and transactional, rather than thoughtful and client-focused. I ultimately agreed to the dry cut, even though I would have preferred the wet cut (as my hair was filthy). The experience felt hurried, and the quality reflected that. During the haircut, Ren told me that the previous client had arrived 45 minutes late and that she had just started her service when I arrived (on time), which raised the question of why that delay was passed on to me rather than managing her previous client differently. This is also not the first time I've experienced scheduling issues. At a prior visit, my appointment was delayed by 30 minutes because my stylist arrived late. Unfortunately, this pattern made this visit feel even more disappointing. What had previously been an enjoyable and satisfying experience felt stressful and frustrating this time. I left feeling as though I was the inconvenience rather than a valued client who had arrived on time and deserved the full service she had scheduled. I do want to acknowledge that the salon manager handled the situation professionally--my service was fully credited, an apology was given, and assurance was given that the issue would be addressed. I appreciate that effort. However, the overall experience was already impacted, and it has made me reconsider returning.

I wanted to like Tiffany but her professionalism and skill set are extremely lacking. Perhaps it…read morewas an isolated outcome, but upsetting no less. She came in late to our scheduled appointment because "she had to go up the road to get perm products," had her 4 year son with her throughout our encounter, was distracted by her cell phone, and was distracted by her child's continued interruptions including demands for additional apps on his device and even at one time playing with the electrical inputs on the hairdryer which caused the dryer to stop as Tiffany was drying my sons hair. My son was scheduled for a perm and fade and it was anything but. He left with essentially the same hairstyle with slight wave that transitions to straight when dry. His hair cut is not good, at all. After the appointment he said to me that on multiple occasions she cut his ear and was was rough. Because of the effort she made, I did tip her bc I felt bad. I did request via text a partial refund as a result of poorly executed work, which she did not return and avoided answering this request altogether. Bear in mind she was provided a goal image which she stated she would be able to mirror. If unable to do so, I would've preferred a candid conversation where she was honest about her abilities and what the likely outcome would be. Instead she refrained from taking accountability and suggested to my son that he changed his style request halfway during the encounter which is false. Where she placed the rods and cotton there are indentations in theshaved region of his hair where the rods were touching. When he asked her about those, she said it was from the cotton. Now nearly a week later he still has the same indentations. Hair is hair and I understand that most results will not look like those seen on social media. So yes, my expectations are realistic but I do expect stylists to be honest and forthcoming with their skill set and I don't believe Tiffany was. To make matters worse, Tiffany evidently told another stylist in the loft that I had spoken badly about that stylist with regard to her color correction (the result of from a stylist in Phoenix and not that stylist). Somehow my inquiring of Tiffany's opinion with regard to her take on color correction somehow transitioned into being dissatisfied with the other stylists work and speaking unkindly of the other stylist and her work. This simply was not the case but I received a rather confrontational text from that stylist accusing me that I had spoken disrespectfully about the work she performed on my daughter. Tiffany told me that she did not know that stylist who was new to that loft location, yet found the time to make that stylist feel badly about herself (in a new location mind you). Who wants to be new to a location and made to feel that they're not good enough? I'm sure that stylist felt bad and was essentially embarrassed because of the lies that Tiffany told her. While my daughters hair is not perfect, we understand that it will take multiple sessions to significantly improve her hair and do what it is worth, that stylist did a mostly great job given the circumstances (a lot was beyond her control). That stylist lost a client because of Tiffany and her of her dishonesty and the text message that followed. If you are looking for an amazing stylist (she was booked at the time of the above appointments and we had just moved here the week before and needed to get our children's hair done before school started), I highly recommend Jacala at SL Polaris. She has over 20 years in the industry and has a premium skill set. She cares about her business and is always professional. Before we moved to Phoenix 10 years ago she was my stylist. I am so thrilled that she has moved to Salon Loft at Polaris during that time away and am fortunate to resume our hair relationship. She stands by her work which is nothing short of beautiful.
