Server was lovely she was very sweet. No complaints. Place was clean. We were seated quickly. Where the review cuts 3 stars was the food. Fryer was down so nothing fried. Both corn chowder and tomato basil soup were lovely. Kids mac and cheese was okay, just Kraft. Turkey dinner was fine but the gravy was SALTY. The sandwich...wow. Just plopped a ball of flavorless chicken salad on burnt bread. I requested garlic on my broccoli but didn't get any. The broccoli tasted fine though and cooked well. Bread was rock hard and butter was an interesting honey butter. Butter toffee cake thing was SWEET

This place used to be packed on weekends but every time I am here it's average to slow. The food is okay as in good I suppose but not noteworthy or sensational. Some things are salty and others are too bland. Just seems like there was no initiative in putting it together. As always it has that French Cafe feel and they kept it rather the same when they've had remodels. I've been coming here for decades, so I know.

The Restaurant is very clean the ambience is familiar with a very nice music and the Mimis Family members are amazing,Im sorry but I forget to take a picture of the delicious salmon and the steak Thank you so much Jose Alfredo (Freddy) for helping me to make this meal delicious. Enjoyed a delicious brunch with my mom on Mother's Day. The place was chaotic to say the least, even with a reservation, but attitude is everything. You could definitely see that they were short staffed, but EVERYONE working today had a pleasant attitude and kept apologizing for the delays. The food was great! It took a long time to get ordered and served (1hour), but it was hot and very good!

Not from this area and was originally going to chili's but the wait was 40 mins long. I saw minis across the street and immediately thought free bread! We headed over and the kids and us had 4 baskets. I was happy their food quality hasn't changed from what I remembered. We got the cinnamon roll French toast, French dip and grilled chicken pesto on a ciabatta bread. Food was good and my 6 year old ened up eating half my sandwich and 1 cinnamon roll toast! Next time I'm ordering the kids the French dip to share. Potatoes au gratin was creamy and potatoes were cooked right and the quinoa ferro and brown rice medley was good as well, but has no seasoning (probably for people trying to make healthier choices). Cinnamon roll toast was sweet as expected with a lot of Cinnamon gooey sauce swirled into bread. Good portions, happy with service, nice calm atmosphere. I wish mimis had more locations.

Went for breakfast after blood test. I like the French inspired decor of Mimis. The service was quick and the food hot. The malted milk waffles were crispy and not overpowering sweet. The pain perdue had fresh strawberries and blueberries. Yummy. My server was pleasant and friendly.

Mimi Cafe & Bakery Restaurant had significantly declined over time, and this recent visit (midweek for dinner) highlighted that. The place is pretty empty, except for maybe at best, 9 two-seater tables occupied by patrons. It's certainly the weekend crowd that is keeping this place afloat. The service was okay nothing spectacular and the bread basket now charges $2.99 to add a couple madeleines when it used to be free. We ordered our usual dinner combo - tuna melt and my French toast plate. It's tasty but for the price for sandwiches and fries, just gives me heartburn that I didn't want to take any pictures. I even mentioned I'm here with an uncle to celebrate birthday . . . barely got an acknowledgement other than a subtle "hey happy birthday". Regardless, it my habit to alway get a 4-pack muffins. It's one thing that never disappoints but likelymy last time.

This mimi's location is the best because of Freddy/Jose!! He's genuinely such an amazing manager and he provides the best service. Anything we ever needed he gave it to us without any problem. He is the best if you come ask for him to be your server :))

These wings are a must-order! They arrived at our table piping hot, with a shatteringly crispy skin that was just unbelievable. You order at a kiosk, take a number, and go sit at a table (indoors or out) where your food will be delivered. We initially attempted to order at the counter but were ignored so we did the kiosk routine. I went with a prosciutto panini and a hot vanilla latte. The latte was average but good. The same could be said of the panini which, aside from the prosciutto, included arugula, garlic aioli, tomato, and mozzarella (it usually comes with roasted bell pepper but I asked to leave that ingredient off). The sandwich came with a pedestrian house salad; some greens with four grape tomatoes and a balsamic dressing. There is a huge free parking structure across the street which makes coming here easy. I thought lunch was okay but I wouldn't make it a priority to return.

Overall, everything lacked flavor, although I will say the red salsa served with the chips was delicious. My friend ordered the avocado toast, but it was basically just a slice of bread with sliced avocado--no seasoning, condiments, or anything to make it stand out. The small garden salad was equally underwhelming, consisting of only romaine lettuce and cherry tomatoes with no dressing or even a drizzle of olive oil. I ordered the Eggs Benedict, but they were more like open-faced boiled eggs since the yolks were completely hard instead of runny. The café de olla had a nice flavor, but it was much sweeter than expected. I think it would be better if they served it unsweetened (or lightly sweetened) and let customers adjust the sugar to their own taste. I really wanted to enjoy this place because the ambiance is so charming, but the food just didn't live up to the experience.

In both cases they were unable to prepare the food well. Last week I had eggs Benedict and the egg yolks were solid and The English muffin was not really toasted and was cold. I sent the Benedict back but Asked to keep the rest of the food because I was hungry. The girl ignored my Request, Took my entire plate and did not return with the other food on it. I literally waited 10 minutes for them to redo the eggs while my partner finished his breakfast and I had nothing to eat. The Hollandaise sauce was Very Good, but ham on the Benedict was incredibly thin. I've had many eggs Benedict and this was unusual to offer A slice of ham comparable to a thin deli slice. My partner's omelette Was quite Brown but had good veggies in it. His hashbrowns were barely cooked. Today We both ordered a veggie omelette with chicken in my partner's. I made it very clear that my veggie omelette should not be Brown (= overcooked) . The girl read Back our order and she wrote My request very clearly. What arrived at our table was quite a shock! My omelette was definitely Brown and my partner's omelette was dark Brown. My brown omelette had chicken (his order) and his omelette was actually my order and dark brown! I've never seen an omelette served that was that overcooked! How could they possibly ignore the instructions and mixed them up? Add to this that his toast was burnt. Really? You can't prepare Toast properly? When I brought it to their attention one of the girls she said I could see how you might think that as I showed her the burnt toast. She said we have already put everything away in the kitchen and so I don't know that we can do anything about it. We said it would be fine if it's an English muffin but, something that's not burnt. She disappeared into the kitchen for quite a while. Eventually when she resurfaced she brought the unevenly toasted bread, (But not burnt) and proceeded to tell us the following: " If you would get here earlier (We arrived 40 min before closing) we could serve you better" ( I later realized Those must be words from the owner). So if I arrive earlier my food wont be overcooked?Or if I arrive earlier they Have time to correct their mistakes? I knew the kitchen closes at 1:40. Waiting at the counter To ask about soup, I stood for 5 + minutes watching 5 employees move about. Finally I was able to ask and waited another minute or so while she went to go to the Back to ask. Now in line to order the man before me was trying to order (before 1:40) a vegan omelette. The girl said it was too late. He explained he had driven all the way from Riverside and it was still within the timeframe to order. She went back into the kitchen and a woman came out. (the owner? ) . The woman proceeded to chastise the young man for coming in late and trying to order a vegan omelette. She told him he'd done this before and he should get here earlier. He explained that he had not actually ordered but had tried. She said several times that she would make an exception this time but it can't happen again. And she continued to chastise him. Who treats their customers like this? .I literally watched the minutes tick by, wondering if I'd make it before the cutoff. More people entered. . Ah oh, do they know about the cutoff in 1 minute?? The girl behind the counter announced that no more orders would be taken after 1:45. Aw, they were being generous by allowing five more minutes to order. But there's no way these people could get their order in within the next five minutes. Will they say, too late, After they've been waiting in Line? Why not say instead, our kitchen is closing but we will be happy to take your orders. And why not hang a sign on the door that says the kitchen is closed at 1:40 But still accommodate diners's needs? The omelette tasted good but the experience was so negative, Such unkindness, Completely lacking in hospitality.

My sister originally chose Terra because she saw a picture of one of their salads with salmon and knew immediately that was what she wanted. We had no idea we were about to discover a new favorite restaurant. 10/10 -- I've already bookmarked Terra because I will absolutely be back. When we arrived, we told our server we had never been there before and asked what she recommended. Her descriptions of the food were fantastic, and she steered us toward the wood-grilled peaches with burrata and arugula. Oh. My. Goodness. Absolutely delicious! The grilled peaches, creamy burrata and arugula were such a wonderful combination. Then the salad came out, with salmon added. I took my first bite and was literally speechless. It was an explosion of flavor -- the avocado, salmon, sesame dressing and everything else going on in that salad just worked. The salmon costs extra, but it was absolutely worth it. The peach dish and the salad were completely different flavor experiences, and honestly I would happily order both of them again. We were talking about how we were gonna come back and try to resist ordering the same thing over again, but that will be a challenge. Of course, we were at a wood-fired pizza restaurant, so we HAD to try the pizza. We ordered half-and-half. One side was the fingerling potato pizza, especially after our server told us the story about the owner's daughter wanting fingerling potatoes on her pizza and how that helped inspire the restaurant. Obviously, after hearing that story, we had to try the pizza that started it all! And it did not disappoint. I can definitely see myself ordering that again. The other half was the salami pizza with the honey drizzle. It was supposed to have some heat -- my sister could taste it, although I couldn't -- and the honey made it a really interesting combination. Not something I would normally think to order, but definitely worth trying. I also ordered the citrus agave, thinking it was basically a fancy name for lemonade. It wasn't! Lemon, orange and lime made it much more interesting, with just a slight bitterness from the citrus that balanced the sweetness. Delicious and different. We sat upstairs, where there was a wonderful breeze coming through on a summer evening. The whole atmosphere was charming and relaxed, the service was excellent, and the food was memorable. The biggest surprise? Terra is right near my office, and I never knew it was there. Definitely a 10/10. I came because of a recommendation, and now I'm recommending it to everyone else. I will absolutely be back.

We wanted to try the pizza, which is one of their specialties, but we will have to come back for that. The interior is nice and it gives the possibility to make it feel like a date night place while still offering a bit of a casual vibe. I would recommend this place for sure. All the food I ordered was super yummy. The service was amazing; the server frequently gave us…read morecoffee refills and was very friendly. The restrooms were clean with lots of decor. Overall Paul's is a great place to get breakfast if you want great service and delicious food.

It's no secret my favorite part of breakfast out is when you take a bit of everything you've…read moreordered, especially the eggs and hash browns, and just mix it into a great jumble. It's kind of like a skillet, except you have full control of how much of each items goes into it. Normally I don't like a ton of gravy in this ritual, but something about the gravy and sausage at Paul's Country Kitchen made this Grand Finale especially delicious. I mean--the Char's Country Plate was good in itself. I've had something similar at the nearby Mr. D's with its two sausage patties on a biscuit covered in gravy along with eggs and hash browns. I think the version at Paul's was a bit better. Every bite was a delight. But I think the best bites were reserved when I got that bit a sausage and gravy into the mix with the hash browns and perfectly cooked eggs. Grand Finales are usually a joy, but this one was especially joyous. Also, noticeable was the great service here. I found the servers personable and discerning. They managed to give out good recommendations, answer any questions about the offerings, and still hold good conversation. That's rare at any food joint you go to. Not only that, they held down the fort when it came to refills, getting my order out quickly, and dropping the bill off when it came time. The personal touch here is impeccable. Lastly, the ambience is great here. The space is kind of limited, but they had plenty of booths and tables, 2-tops and 4-tops, and counter space. Everything was decorated brightly without seeming gaudy, and it gave off a welcoming feeling that is traditional with all local diners. I wouldn't mind eating in a place like this regularly. In conclusion, I think I found a new place to have breakfast. Not only that, I think I found a new place to recommend to others when I want to point out what makes a good diner/coffee shop.
