We had a lovely dinner at Mimi's, I had the meatloaf which was delicious! The recipe is much better than it used to be, and the green beans were so tasty! The chicken cheddar mac is a dish not to be missed, and the French Pot Roast is another favorite of mine. I'm glad they got rid of those weird madeleines in the bread basket, we never ate them, anyway. Our server, Trey, was awesome, he's a real asset to restaurant! We haven't been here in quite a while, we had a couple of less than stellar visits in the past, but they are now forgotten! I look forward to our next visit and trying some of the new menu items. read more

Went for dinner even though I know this place is more well- known for its good breakfast. Had a burger (sans bun) and husband had a Mediterranean pasta dish. He liked his a lot, mine was just okay. This is not a gluten free-friendly restaurant which is why I probably give it a lower score than it deserves. Husband also liked the pre-dinner bread, not just one type of bread but at least four! read more

Been going here for years. I feel it was much more impressive then than now. Though they've always experimented with the menu, the the current one is by far the worst offering--smaller selection and portions. At least they did bring back some of the best entrèes they'd eliminated on their "Cafè Classics" menu--including Chicken Parm which in my opinion is one of the best in the Valley. read more

We came to Mimis on Saturday to celebrate a friends birthday. We had a group of 8 and received terrible service. It took 30 minutes for someone to take our drink orders and another hour of waiting for our food. I am giving it 3 stars because the food was unique and very good. We just had a bad experience with customer service. read more

This place used to feel high class. It now feels like a Denny's. The bathrooms are in terrible shape. The floors are dirty and dingy. The windows had dead flies in them. I used to eat here two to three times a month. Now after my last visit I know why I stopped. Service was slow. But she was nice. Food quality was not the same. Mimi's that was my last visit. I am never coming back. It started going downhill years ago when refill on a glass of milk was free now they charge for it. I can buy a gallon for what they charge for one glass. read more

Very loud noise, must be the floors & ceiling echoing as there weren't that many people there. Service was quick and attentive. But the food was disappointing. I had the corn chowder, based on other reviews. So-so taste, kinda bland, but thick and creamy. Then I had the crab fritters. Nice and crunchy but I couldn't really taste crab. Came with french fries which were OK. Everything was served hot, which is always good. My companion liked his pot roast but I didn't taste it so I am giving a 2nd-hand opinion on it. read more

This location is ridiculous. We had a party of ten and we had a reserved table which was given away WHILE we were there. The manager was rude and unprofessional (did not apologize or offer any kind of recompense), we waited 45 minutes just to get bread, and even longer for our food. Everything was slow and the food was WAY less than mediocre. Will never go back! The only reason we stayed through the whole thing was because we had a buy one get one free...still not worth it in the slightest. read more

The old menu was great the new one is French with neworleans twist. Not very good!! The bread is still good

The new seasonal menu with Frites looks incredible. Heres my advice I would only look at the fantastic pictures and then put it down and order from the menu. My frites were no different than my sons fries. The food here is normally a step above other establishments in its price range. The service at this location however is extremely slow. If your in any rush consider another option. read more

We were warned while we were waiting for our reservation that the wait was horrible. But yet we chose to wait and after two hours of waiting they told us they took us off the list because someone said we left. So upon finding that we had waited for two hours for no reason we did leave they wanted to make us wait another two hours this place is horrible. read more

Slow to greet us, slow to seat us, slow to serve us cold food. Crepe was way over cooked but cold and tasteless. This place used to be pretty good but now it's just sad. Avoid thi read more

This restaurant is a little pricey but the food is worth it for it portions. The music they play is jazz style and the interior Mardi Gra-esque or French quarter style. The bread basket they serve before the meal is especially awesome. read more

Slow service, mediocre menu and cold food did not impress me tonight. Look elsewhere

Ridiculiously terrible service. No water filling, food hasn't come after 1 hr, no silverware for the main guest and don't bring it after asking for it for half an hr. Never coming back here again. read more

Although it wasn't busy, we experienced a long wait for our food, which, when it came, was lukewarm at best. My husband's coffee cup had a big lipstick stain, which we pointed out to the waiter who said defensively "it's still clean." There were 3 pieces of eggshell in my husband's eggs, but the waiter didn't seem to care. We talked to the mgr. because we thought she shd know if there was a problem in the kitchen. She was pleasant, but didn't seem concerned about the low standard of quality. We used to go to Mimi's once in awhile, but after this experience, we probably won't go back anytime soon. read more

dont eat here. you can find better food in your local toilet. service is bad and creepy! dont eat here. read more

See all

I am not impressed. The decor is odd. The furniture dilapidated. The carpet was filthy. And the food was 'Meh'. My wine had floaties in it and the glass was dirty. I had to ask my waiter a couple of times for a glass of water before he responded. I am a sucker for French Onion soup so I was excited to see it on the menu. MISTAKE! What I got was a bland broth with giant hunks of RAW onions topped by a giant blob of bread and disgusting, greasy, extremely salty, mystery cheese. Our waiter was super slow but to top it off, while we waited for our entrees, we had a ringside view to the staff loudly goofing off right at the entrance to the kitchen. My meal came and I was once again disappointed. My pot roast had a nice flavor but there was more meat than fat, the vegetables were raw and bland. Definitely a waste of my money. read more

The menu is smaller. The serving sizes are smaller. The prices are higher. Our server was a disaster. Service was slow. He could not get the orders straight to save his life. Each visit has become more and more tedious. Tonights fiasco but them on the list of places not to visit. read more

My daughter and I get to the restaurant and as we check in we are informed there is a 20 minute wait because the kitchen is backed up. After 55 minutes I go to check how much longer it will be, turns out they had called the wrong name and thought I had left. That was not as bad as the hostesses attitude, Like it was my fault and I hadn't been paying attention. I'm very aware establishments have issues and make mistakes. It's about how those mistakes are handled that make the difference. This used to be my favorite place to Have breakfast. The last few times I've been in, there seems to be some issue that makes the experience not pleasant. read more

Went here to lunch with a new coworker. After waiting for an hour, we were told the kitchen was a little behind. 45 minutes for one of us to get an orange juice? Do not go here unless you have lots of time to waste. read more

This is one of my favorite places for breakfast! The service is excellent, and the food is delicious. The bacon avocado omelette and the buttermilk spice muffin are incredible! read more

Mimis cafe is a great place for great breakfast. i work close to there and all though i have had a few trying visits I have began to notice that there are a couple servers that stick out and do an amazing job. Upon our last visit we were greeted and served by Johanna. We joked with her and overall.... she was wonderful! the food and check came out prompt. Prior to that I was served by Hillary. Hillary is very efficient, kept my coffee hot and is such a sweet soul. i will be returning to this mimis cafe for future dates. thank you mimis! read more

We used to love to go to Mimi's, but not anymore. The last 3 times we went the portions are much smaller, the service is worse, and we both got sick after eating there. We won't be back! read more

Fine, for a chain. A bit pricey, for breakfast, but a step above Denny's.

Terrible service. The restaurant was not busy. We were 1 of 4 tables. We sat for 10 minutes before the waitress came to apologize for the wait but didn't even take our drink order. When she finally came back we placed our food and drink order. Watched her come and go from the kitchen at least 5 times without even bringing the water we requested. After waiting for nearly 20 minutes without even water we left. It isn't worth the money at this place for such crappy service. read more

Slow, slow, slow. They didn't seem busy but it took forever to get seated and to get our food. But least the food was good.

The food was awesome the artichoke spinach dip was unbelievable and the service was great

I don't even know where to start. The service here is some of the worst I've experienced. The waiter was extremely rude and got our simple order completely wrong. Ugh and the manager was openly reprimanding an employee right by our table. Just don't waste your time or money here. read more

The atmosphere and ambiance of this restaurant is really cool, a mix between a Paris cafe and a New Orleans french quarter cafe. We were seated right away and we went during lunch time. I ordered the French dip sandwich, one of the best I've had. The rest of my group really enjoyed theirs too. Overall a really great restaurant! read more

Omgsh! What a rip off...salmon egg Benedict...really? Naaaasty. I'm sorry but I rather have..-listen carefully IHOP- cold food, water down Oj...and the server -I'm sorry- the worst breath ever. Never again!!!! read more

The service was great. However, the French dip bread was soggy (probably rewarmed in the microwave) and the French fries were inedible. Cold, greasy and soggy. There was paper litter all over the floor. Since it was after the lunch hour, I would expect them to do a quick sweep up. To be fair, my husband's salad was excellent. When I told the server that the French fries were bad, he agreed but didn't offer anything. I probably won't return to this location. A shame since I love Mimi's! Nothing about this was good. Our waitress was very kind and I think she was new, so I can cut her a break for the minor mistakes [we were never given bread, only one of us was given water, never given refills]. Everyone else was not new, though, and they were making mistakes all over the place. Apologizing to table after table for forgotten orders and no drinks and even spilling a pitcher of beer. On top of that, the food was not good. The chicken was undercooked to the point of nearly being raw. The only employee who seems to have their mind together is the gentleman busing the tables. We wont ever be returning to this place. read more

Poor service. It took forever to get a seat. The hostess was unable to seat people properly. When we finally were seated it took a long time to get menus and drinks ordered. After about 10 more minutes the waitress came and took our order. 20 minutes later our food shows up and has onions in the waffles. WHO mixes that stuff up. Finally get the check and the waitress shows up with the wrong change. Worst experience ever, not coming back. read more

The only reason I'm giving 5 stars is because of our server this morning. Hilary was her name. As we walked in I said this was my last straw with this restaurant if the service is bad because every time I come in I get terrible service, the food is always wrong and the servers weren't ever on their game. But Hilary was so amazing. She deserves a promotion! Seriously thank you Hilary for changing my mind about Mimi's. I'll tell all my friends about you! read more

My boyfriend and I have dined here a few times. Fri. night was awful. 30 mins to get seated. No waitress to be seen. Had time to read over the menu quite a few times. Finally ordered drinks and dinner from a very annoyed waitress. When she brought the salad she flung it on the table and said a very reluctant "sorry".The salad was long gone and fingers were tapping on the table. We were ready to leave without dinner, we had been waiting so long for food- we had ordered sandwiches so it would go faster- hah. As we were getting up to leave our dinner arrived. we asked for them to be boxed and waited for that. We had been there for about 1 1/2 hrs. when I got home and had part of the French Dip, the fries were cold and soggy. My boyfriends Ruben had neither corned beef or pastrami or sauerkraut- ham and turkey and cheese. The waitress blamed it on a back up in the kitchen..Never coming back. Lots of problems there. read more

Went there for a brunch. Good service, cozy environment, and nice food. Everything you expected for a Mimi's Cafe.

Food was great! Service and ambiance was pleasant. Would go there again.

I'm trying not to be completely negative but there just isn't anything positive to say. I've gone twice for breakfast simply because it's close, and both times I've been disappointed. The food is mediocre and the menu isn't great. My eggs Benedict were cold. read more

Mimi's is a nice place to have a business lunch or gather with your girlfriends for dinner. The food is not outstanding, but it will do. I've always gotten really good service and no problems. Their breakfast items are their best items. The muffins are always fresh and hot and served quickly. The lunch/dinner food is meh. They could find better french fries, the super skinny frozen ones are not what I had in mind. read more

Not impressed. Worse Mimi's I have ever been to. Now I know why the one in Little Rock closed even tho it was better than this one. Ordered a patty melt with fries for lunch and a side salad. Got my patty melt and it was rare on one side and well done on the other. Not sure how they pulled that off. Served my salad on the hot plate with the sandwich and my fries in a basket. Even Denny's doesn't do that. The blue cheese dressing was the cheap stuff made with like miracle whip not real mayo so it had a nasty wang to it. Day before we had a quick lunch at village inn, haven't been to one of those in years, however the food was better and their blue cheese dressing was a pleasant surprise and much better than Mimi's. My wife is much easier to please than I am and she wasn't happy either. We are done with Mimi's cafe, sadly years ago they were awesome never had a complaint. If I could give fewer stars or negative stars this review would be more accurate. read more
