This was my second bad experience and I should have learned from the first one. I ordered the Monte Cristo French Toast and it's suppose to be a new item on their menu. Let's just say it was the WORST Monte Cristo I have had. It had an awful flavor/taste to it and it was dry. Looked like it had been made earlier and it just sat there until a poor unsuspecting patron (me) ordered it and then they served it to them. I will never go to Mimi's Cafe ever again!! ‍ If you have had a good experience good for you. This has been mine. read more

What a fantastic morning, the day before Thanksgiving. RISH was fantastic and I can't believe how great the food still is. The menu service and everything else is fantastic. I will definitely be back again. read more

I didn't know you could mess up a salad, especially at a restaurant with a reputation like Mimi's. I ordered the Mediterranean Salad with no onions. It came with onions, so I sent it back. They obviously put it back in a bowl and picked out all but one onion and put it back on a plate. The chicken was dry and bland. The veggies were either out of a can or way past their freshness date. The dressing was bland. And I was halfway through the salad before the waitress asked about the food. I guess they should stick to breakfast. I will never be back. read more

It's amazing when restaurant is practically empty service from staff is inadequate. First waitress who started with drink order had an attitude like she didn't want to be there. Then a waitress came and asked for drink order? Explained drink order and she brought them. Communication between staffers. Sandwiches were good. Received bill and thank goodness for paying cash. Waitress didn't come back. When leaving the hostess was at bar and yelled "thank you for coming"! read more

Went for breakfast, this time I ordered the buttermilk pancakes scrambled eggs and turkey sausage. The pancakes were good, the syrup was ok. The eggs and turkey sausage were good as well. Nothing spectacular just good breakfast food. The service was quick, wait was only 15minutes and they were SUPER busy. read more

Noah, give us great service. I would definitely recommend coming and asking for him. Plus I love their breakfast and coffee!

where do I start. The restaurant was almost empty, we waited almost an hr for our two breakfast plates, when they finally did bring the food it was ridiculously cold, while I was explaining the issue with the food to the waitress she just ignored me and walked away. never offered to remove anything from the bill. Definitely would not recommend this place at all. Unless you like your food overcooked and cold. read more

Great food and great service. Braxtyn was my waitress and definitely would come back and see her again. Endless Mosaic is must

The owner should just close down this place. We normally go there for breakfast and my fiancé wanted to try dinner so we went around 6 o'clock Sunday night. When we first arrived there were only two guests in the dining room. I ordered the French onion soup and the bread in it was big and hard that I couldn't even bite into it. The lettuce in the house salad were stinky so we sent it back and asked for a Caesar instead, but then the romaine lettuce was the same way when it came out. The server didn't seem concerned and didn't even ask how our food was. It's really a terrible experience. read more

We enjoyed a nice Sunday brunch at Mimi's Cafe. I was a bit disappointed however at the fact that the muffins were so much smaller. I used to love getting that huge carrot muffin with my meal. Now they are pretty small and $2.99 as opposed to coming Free with your meal. The food was great though and we will be back again read more

I was pleasantly surprised when entering as I'm terrified to eat out during the pandemic... this being the second time in just over a month while out with my auntie and uncle for medical stuff. Auntie and I both had doctor appointments in Murfreesboro and they decided Mimi's would be a good place to eat as they had enjoyed it in the past, and I had never been there before. A Yelp opportunity! The parking lot was sparsely filled... good start. Upon entering we were greeted by a properly masked (!) young lady named Chloe Loudermilk who showed us to our table and was also our server as well. The tables surrounding us were all tagged to promote social distancing; kudos to them for that! Chloe was a darling who followed all protocol during the visit, and was so glad to see our masks and my added blinged out shield. Being a cancer patient I take no chances! Y'all are gonna laugh as I forgot to take it off and hit the darn clear shield with my first bite of salad!!! Yep. I did that. I admit it. Must've been a Kodak moment for auntie and uncle across from me... Anyway... we got our orders in, and I wasn't very hungry. Had to go back on low carb/calorie to get rid of my pandemic poundage. Ordered unsweetened iced tea and a petite Caesar salad. Yummy! For being "petite" that thing will fill you up and I couldn't finish it. Ordered a side of two pieces of bacon well done. Perfect. Not crumbly or burned... had to get that protein in there! Uncle had eggs Benedict with fried potatoes (cubes) with auntie ordering a stuffed omelette along with the same potatoes... and the prettiest blueberry muffin I've seen in a long time. HUGE blueberries! I give her credit in her quest to lose a few pounds as well... she didn't touch those "taters"! Everything was delish and not a complaint one. Chloe's timing was on point and never once caught us with a mouthful. Perfection! That girl deserves a raise and if she's your server be sure and tip well. read more

My food turkey sausage was cold and undercooked. sent it back ..second try wasn't any better. The potatoes which were I guess homestyle fried potatoes were cold and stale, and they obviously had been sitting under a light for a while. I won't go back. There seem to be no thoughtfulness or attention by the staff. read more

We've been here a total of five times. Three times we never got any food because they won't send anyone to take your order. We sat there 30 minutes the first two times, even after asking a hostess to find our waitress. We chalked it up to busy times and understaffing. This last time we gave up much quicker and won't be back. The servers just congregate around and talk and apparently take breaks all at the same time. The food is pretty good if you can get any to come to your table. read more

Mimi's menu sounds wonderful. The photos and descriptions definitely tempt the appetite. HOWEVER, the food is NOT good. Eggs Benedict are watery with too little hollandaise sauce and soggy bread. Potatoes are rubbery and cold rather than hot and crispy outside with tender potato insides. The crème brûlée has a thin soft top that cannot crack properly. The French Dip was awful! Poor quality, chewy bread with nothing but deli meat from a package still folded as if no one could be bothered to separate the slices. The au jus was flavorless and cold. Doesn't a quiche or pot pie sound great? They are not. The crust on any pie product is soft and flexible on the sides and mushy on the bottom. It seems that a flaky crust is impossible in Mimi's kitchen. The omelets are tough on the outside. The food is almost always too cold and warmed- over tasting. The apple desert is almost ok but, again the crust is just not acceptable. A side of cinnamon apples did taste nice but I paid $4. for three bites of apple. We have tried many times to give Mimi's an opportunity to live up to their menu's promises. They just can't seem to do it. It's a nice place. The restaurant could be packed with diners if only the food was prepared properly. We kept going back because we convinced ourselves that the bad food was a fluke each time, next time it would be as good as it sounded. We have now given up. We will not return unless we hear that there is a new chef. We want to have the food that is on the menu, prepared with skill. Please Mimi's, think of your customers and imagine the great restaurant you could be. Find a cook who cares what the customer eats. Find a chef who can properly prepare food for people who pay to eat it. Thanks to the kind servers and hostesses and the bar staff. And thank you to all those who work in the kitchen and don't have anything to do with the food preparation. read more

I got the breakfast burrito and my fiancé got the breakfast tacos. Not really much to rave about. Spent a hour in the restaurant for the food to be bland and not very good. Was brought a extra order of potatoes (pictured) that we did not order and my side of potatoes did not include the peppers and onions added into it like I asked for although accidents to happen. Servers were making rude remarks to each other: the hostess was sweet and attentive and so was our waitress. read more

We came about an hour before closing and were the only people in the restaurant. All of the food was very delicious. The service was excellent. The menu is huge, almost too many choices. This feels like a restaurant that is attempting to do higher end dining, but just barely missed the mark. We spent around $63 tip and all. So a little pricey for sandwiches. read more

Place was not too busy. Seated right away at a table. Ordered the chicken pot pie and a salad. Both were good, although the crust on the pot pie was a bit hard and would not come off the bowl. Seating is nice and there is not too much noise. Good place for a simple quiet dinner. read more

We have seen this restaurant dozens of times when in Murfreesboro and other cities, just never stopped in one before. We were on a recent shopping trip, and when we decided we were hungry, began investigating dinner options. Our favorite area restaurant had more than an hour wait, which is just not happening for us. At Mimi's we were able to walk right in. This restaurant reminded me of a Perkins, which we used to have in Nashville but it hasn't been around for years. Because it was listed as a specialty, and just something you don't see every day, we tried the turkey and dressing entrée. We shared it because I recently had weight-loss surgery. Well, it wasn't bad, don't get me wrong, just disappointing. It was basically a turkey loaf that was Luke warm and tasted like dressing straight from Sysco. Certainly nothing that I would ever call a specialty of the house. Our server was OK, not great, and the cleanliness of the restaurant in general was okay, but again not great. The dining room is carpeted, and you can see evidence of tables where no doubt there was a small child earlier with little things dropped here and there. The restaurant has a bar on the other side of the foyer from where our table was, but on our visit I don't recall there being anyone there. Most of the folks there pretty much appeared to be like us, just hungry and not in the mood to wait. Will we be back? Probably not. With all the options you have in the world these days, why go anywhere mediocre? read more

to start off the manager was the rudest person that I have ever met, I got my food cold and when I wanted to get something new the manager came out and told me no. also you could hear him in the kitchen yelling at staff. I would not recommend going to eat unless you want to be miserabl. read more

I really Like Mimi's Café, especially the breakfast menu items. I highly recommend the Quiche Lorraine and the Bananas Foster pancakes. I have had both meals and they are wonderful. Their muffins are the bomb as well and they used to bring a sampler basket to your table but alas, this visit we did not get a complimentary basket of bread/muffins. The service is hit and miss just about any time you go, however our server was spot on this visit and he kept my coffee cup full at all times and I didn't even have to tell him. I have been there for lunch/dinner and they have a great French pot roast my husband brags about and I honestly can't remember what I had. I guess that menu just isn't that memorable to me. If you have never been you should give it a try and judge for yourself. They have a menu built for just about anyone.....unless you are counting calories, just make it a cheat meal. read more

Definitely not a dinner place. We went for dinner and they were out of chicken, for no one being there the service was terribly slow, drinks were not refilled, and food was meh for the price. Now breakfast was delicious, couldn't complain there. read more

Maraina was our server and she was incredible. She was attentive and helpful with all the questions we had regarding menu items. We've always known Mimi's as a breakfast or brunch stop, but we were travelling into Murfreeboro, TN and there is location near our hotel. Did not disappoint! The French Por Roast was really tasty as well as the cup of French Onion soup. My husband's chicken Potpie was yummy too. Mariana was engaging in conversation and even told us that our dog would be welcome when we come back. Thank you, Mimi's and especially Marina for the great meal. read more

Would give this place 10/10 if possible. Not only was Mariana kind and extremely helpful during the meal, but the food itself was great. True home style cooking and great comfort. On top of having a great experience with the meal, Mariana and her manager worked hard to make sure we were taken care of after we forgot a wallet in the restaurant. Will be back thank you all. read more

I was in town visiting a friend and decided to go for brunch Sunday. This was my first time at Mimi's, even though I have one back at home, and wanted to try. It was busy as expected but I was able to find a seat at the bar. The service was great, very pleasant and checked on me at the right times. Food didn't take too long to arrive, then again I had their delicious mango mimosa to occupy me as I waited. My eggs were just right, bacon crispy how I like it. The French toast was good but I expected a bit more flavor but still delicious. I'd order again and add berries next time. Overall, I'd come back when I'm in town again. Now I hope to have the same outcome if not better when I try the Chesterfield, MO location. read more

We had the best breakfast here today. We had crab Benedict. It was not on the menu (social today) but the crab Benedict was the best we ever had. We were greeted with a great smile and enthusiasm from the moment we entered the restaurant. Service was awesome and food was exceptional. It was so good we ate there two mornings in a row. from out of state and decided to look up some places local to where we are staying and Mimi's Cafe came up. We walked in, no one was there but there were employees sitting facing away from the door. I'm rating this restaurant as OK only because the food was OK, but the service could've been better.
