MIMINOO garden restaurant - Grilled Calamari and Margherita pizza - Czech Near Me - Prague, Puerto Rico

Although I red the recommendations of my fellow Yelpers I went to give it a try. I thought restaurant wouldn't work during winter time, because, as mentioned its a garden restaurant. Interior of this little place is impressive. View on french bakeries and hams hanging behind glass definitely made us hungry. We came inside, first good points were for the nonsmoking environment. We took our three year old traveller for some drink and climbed the highest chairs, as he requested. Although water for the child arrived ice-cold, as soon as I said it to the waiter we had a boiling hot jug on the table to heat it up. Not an ideal situation, but great and quick solution! As we only came for a drink, I can only judge the tea and Merlot which we ordered and it was nice. I know its hard to compare the service with the summer craze, but we can not complain one bit. This restaurant is a good spot to grab a drink or snack if you are planning to visit Žižkov tower which if you ask me, is one of the top things to do in Prague as a tourist because it provides you with a beautiful view of the whole city. It is truly magical to see all those beautiful red roofs. Anyway, back to Miminoo restaurant. I came here last month for a breakfast. The service was nice but it was probably because the place was empty. Even though the ambiance seems nice, I advise you not to come here in winter - just like we did! It is so cold and there are windows everywhere so if you sit by one, you will be freezing just like me or my boyfriend. Nevertheless, I am sure it must be very nice to come here over the warm months, especially because they also have seating outside. Also, I would like to add that even though the food was not bad, it is very overpriced for simple things such as sausages (hot dogs), musli plate and croissants... On the bright side, I have to appreciate that they had non dairy milk for my late. You do not find that everywhere in Prague. read more

Coming often to the place but meanwhile the arrogance of some waiters is unbelievable negative. They opened to many places in summer outside and got not enough staff. You have to wait 15 min after you got seated. Another 15 min until the drinks are coming. Lucky you if you got everything you ordered. The attentions of the waiters is very bad. You either run after them or you wait another 15 min. Outside there is a open kitchen. But they are preparing there the food for the next day and the wind brings all to you if are not far away enough. The white wine was too warm. Maybe because it was standing for 5 min at the bar already. Oder some ice in summer. At the end we had more drinks in the bill than we had. Better check your bill. read more

Very excellent lunch at the tower in Prague. The Caesar salad with grilled shrimp, bacon and Parmesan cheese was exactly what I wanted for my meal. My husband had the pasta dish with beef and topped with greens. They were served with breads and a butter/cheese spread. Our Aperol spritzers went very well with our selections. We ate outside and even though it was hot outside there was a nice breeze flowing through the patio area. read more

I really like this place and not only because it´s hundred meters from our house. It´s a restaurant in a small park right under Žižkov tower. It´s ideal place for a summer because they have a plenty of space to sit outside and not only in a garden but also partially in the park where are comfortable chairs, hammocks and swing seats. There is a minigolf (which takes most of the park) and pétanque. They cook very well. I love their soups because they are real soups. Strong, full of taste and flavour. Exactly how it should be. Also pork greaves as a appertizer is a good idea. Otherwise their cuisine is mainly italian or mediterrian if you want. But they have a burgers too. All and all the meals are very good so I guess you will be satisifed with whatever you pick. As a beer I recommend Hoegaarden. The only thing I don´t like is that dogs are not allowed even in a garden in a summer. I understand that they don´t want dogs to pee or poo there but that´s up to owners to take care of it. Yep, many owners are unfortunately unresponsible and the rest of us pay for it. But at the other side They allow us to go there with the dog in the winter when they have a icerink there so our dog can sit there while we are skating. read more

Due to the rave reviews, we made it a last stop on our multi day Prague trip to reward ourselves with a good steak meal. The price is on a quite steep end, as even the tiny grilled plate of grilled Veggies costs about 90k, and my steak came to be almost 400k. The food didn't blow my mind, but it was good enough, and the location was ideal. The problem was the entire staff. We walked in about 10:30 as they close at 12am, and was told by the greeter that it was a plenty of time to dine, as there were multiple tables still occupied. However, by the time the dinner arrived at out table there were only two other tables occupied, and it was about 11pm when the drama began. When we became the only table minutes later, the noise and the clanking of the pots and pans and he loud noise and screaming began amongst the staff, as they came and sat across from our table and e fiasco began. It was very obvious that these KIDS wanted to call it a night and was putting in a combined effort to drive us out of the restaurant, as they were running around, making clanking noises, talking loudly to make it very apparent that we weren't welcomed there anymore, despite this establishment being as costly and classy? as it was. I came to the conclusion that the manager wasn't present and called it a night early, as not even young immature McDonalds employees would act in such an irresponsible and hasty manner. I was so annoyed, we walked out without finishing our meal, and he time was about 11:25. A whole half an hour before their supposed closing time! If there was a choice to give '0' star, I would have. It was absolutely the worst experience I've had in my third visit to Prague, and would not recommend this place at all! I've spent 1/3 of what I spent at this place and walked away happy and content.
