The guys that work here are really great. They fixed my computer twice now, making it almost better than it was before, or at the very least adequate for what I needed. They didn't try to upsell me on a bunch of stuff I didn't and don't need, and they did it all within the span of a few hours both times. They had me up and running again quickly. As someone who works from home and depends on his computer in order to pay the rent and eat, that's pretty important. They are a small store with a friendly and knowledgeable staff. They may not have every item with every potential bell and whistle in stock, but they can generally get about anything for you in a matter of one business day, and they are happy to do so. read more

Service is poor... had my desktop for a month and I had to call several times to check on status even after being told several times they would contact me and update me with the progress. My computer needed a new internal hard drive which they installed but only part of my information/data was retrieved. They sent me home with an external hard drive for me to transfer the data. Expensive process and I thought that I was paying to have them resolve the issue. Now with it home it's a total mess and trying to retrieve my data from the external drive is difficult or not able to transfer. Lost all my pictures. So really they didn't retrieve much of my info. My "new" computer runs loud. Terrible!!! I would never recommend Milwaukee PC in Shorewood and would in fact deter anyone who thought about using them for their computer needs. read more

Wow. I took my broken printer there, as they recycle old items. (I know they can resell some of these items so I wanted to use a locally owned business.) After I gave it to whom I presume to be the manager, I asked where the items were ultimately sent. His response? "Hopefully back to China or India." Yes, he actually said that! He said there are 2 companies in Wisconsin that take the items from all 20 branches but he doesn't know which one and he has no idea where the products are then sent. I'm actually concerned that the soil and water isn't contaminated in places outside the U.S., whereas this man seems to believe that as long as it isn't his problem, who cares where the stuff ends up and who it may harm when it gets there. I do make an effort to support local businesses, but I will never return to the Shorewood branch of Milwaukee PC. read more

Recently went to Milwaukee PC for virus removal on my laptop. They told me my computer would be ready in a about a week, but ended up taking 11 days. That didn't bother me so much but it did bother me that they didn't call with updates like they said they would. If you want to know the status of your computer you'll have to keep calling them. However, the cost for their services was about $75, which was significantly less than what a certain national chain wanted to charge me ($200) for the same service. My computer seems to be working well. Since they did a good job for a good price I would recommend their services to others. read more

Shorewood Location-----I brought in my laptop that was broken and they fixed the part that was broken. But then a week later ironically another thing broke by itself and It was weird that it broke right after the other part being replaced. I took it in and then they fixed it and then ANOTHER part got messed up and they said it was me who did it when it was obvious that they were the ones that damaged it by trying to fix the previous mistake. They ended up covering the cost for that last mistake but were extremely rude about it and the guy fixing was accusing me that I broke it when he clearly did when he fixed the other problem. If you go in and see how they handle the laptops they are fixing, you will not want to leave your laptop with them. The guy was trying to show me someone else's laptop and how it had the similar problem as mine and he nearly dropped it with the careless way he was handling it. Its no wonder he damaged mine. It was a very negative customer service experience and I would recommend for people to go else where, even if it is miles away, where they actually care about their customers and handle other peoples computers the way they should be. read more

First impressions of this store is that it lacks a lot of products. It may be ok to take your pc in to clean it up but as far as hardware goes i'd go somewhere else. I went in asking about mechanical keyboards; i asked the guy if they had one i could try out. They did and i hit a few of the keys to see what it sounded/felt like because i have never tried one out before. I then asked him what type of switches they were and he had no idea what i was talking about. (Mechanical keyboards have different switches that are distinguished by the color of the switch that measure the sound and force required to push). He said that there was only one type of switch and there was no demand for mechanical keyboards and they all come from china blah blah blah...bit of an arrogant man. I reassured him there was a difference and upon looking at the box showed him the sticker that is featured on the box "cherry mx brown switches". The guy was still unable to agree with me and felt no need to ask him about any more products. I hope other milwaukee pc stores have more knowledgeable staff because they have great potential. read more
