Spinach, tomato, onion, feta omelette... with home-fries and rye toast.
Sharon C.

The food was wonderful, with great portions and quick fabulous service! I had the spinach, tomato, onion and feta omelet. It was a crepe style egg and then stuffed with a nice portion of spinach onion, tomato, and feta cheese. I also ordered extra crispy home-fries with onions and rye toast. Everything was made to perfection and service was pleasant and super fast! I can't wait to come back and try the other delicious looking menu items!

Great food! Cute little diner off Shore Drive - folks were nice. Would recommend but small so you may have to wait a little for a table.

Umm.. just a big WOW! This place is a treasure! I truly mean that! Set back from the street you easily pass it and takes a little effort to find parking, But folks it's all worth it! The decore is simple when you walk in, but soon as the waitress brings out the food plates my eyes and smile was ear to ear! The Lobster Beni was made perfect and very generous along with the home fries. The Cornbeef Hash was awesome added grilled onions on top. And it's so nice they can make it to order The Stuffed Berry French Toast was so stuffed with FRESH berries and they put even more on the side witj whip cream! I was so glad the owner "Milton" came by to see if everything was good! Cause I just wanted to tell him how fabulous my experience was! So for you foodies find this treasure and give it a try! Definitely will be back plenty of times!

Sweet potato pancakes with corned beef hash

We were camping at First Landing State Park and sought out a hidden little gem of a place for a quick but tasty breakfast. Milton's Cafe fit the bill. My husband had the Western omelet with home fries and rye toast and I had the sweet potato pancakes with corned beef hash. Both dishes were very good and service was great (we sat in the bar area). It's a small establishment with a big menu. Would highly recommend.

To me this is a locals spot. It is an ok size inside. Not a super big place but roomy enough that your not sitting right on top of another group. The wait staff are good. Not overly friendly but like I said a lot of locals go here so if you know them they talk to you more. They are good at taking your order and they get it right every time. Even when you put in special request. We have been a few times now. My bestie loves this place. This is her favorite place to go. I personally think the food is fine. The Classic eggs benedict is ok. Their sauce is not my favorite. I have a couple other places I like better. The omlette is good. House hashbrowns are ok. Bacon could be a little more crisp for my taste. But that is my preference. I do ask for extra crispy and they have done that but the first time I had it was wimpy. So you have to know to ask to make things crispy. I am not use to telling the chef how to cook everything I order. For me this is a solid 3 1/2. Food is a 4 or 4 1/2. Staff are a 3. Parking lot is small but we have not been when it is busy. I would NEVER go on a busy time. Ya know there is always room for improvement . So for now I I will stick with the 3 1/2 With room for improvement

Decided to check out this gem this past Sunday and it's good food that not many know about which was a plus for us because we did not feel like waiting the normal hour plus line. I should really keep these to myself but what fun would that be. We sat ourselves and were greeted immediately and service was excellent and food was great as well. Will most definitely come back again soon.

Lobster and avocado omelette

The ambiance is downright homey, cozy, like what a neighborhood cafe should be - the owner sitting at the bar sharing pleasantries with customers. Service was quick and friendly. It wasn't on the menu but my friend got creative and asked if we can get lobster omelette. The waitress even said they can add avocado slices as well! The lobster omelette was delicious, generous chunks of lobster meat, very fresh avocados in the omelette.

Our server was extremely busy and didn't not seem to care or want us there. The crab on my Benedict tasted sour. The spinach on the Benedict also tasted old. The side breakfast potatoes were fantastic though. I had a pineapple mimosa and that was fresh. Calm and quiet place for brunch with minimal decor. They still had a chalk sign that said "Happy Valentines Day" in March. I would only go back if I was ordering a very simple breakfast like eggs, toast, and potatoes and every other restaurant was full.

Avocado toast, with two poached eggs. This was phenomenal. I'm not exactly sure what the dressing was but it was delicious.

And the food only paled in comparison to the service. I'm not sure if Alvaro is the owner or related to the proprietor--it's obvious he LOVES his job, he was engaging and knowledgeable and his recommendations were spot on. He suggested the Mezze platter as our appetizer (I ended up eating it as my entire meal). He also was so animated and excited about the buttery sauce that was used in the process of making the lamb chops, we ordered both purely because he was so confident we would like them. And that is where he made his mistake--we didn't LIKE them; we LOVED them! The lamb was cooked to perfection. The appetizer platter was an explosion of flavors--and trust me, the falafel alone is worth the trip back. All too often, falafel is made with the premise that bigger is better. Falafel can taste gummy and dry if it made too large. Baladi had mastered the perfect falafel. They make them small, crunchy and flavorful. Hands down, it was my favorite. And then I tasted the babaganouush! Oh my, my, my! I didn't think the falafel had competition, but that babaganouush nearly melted in my mouth. Look for me when you visit here because Baladi is my new favorite restaurant.

We got the chicken gyro, chicken tawook, and beef gyros. I also ordered a side of rice and tatziki with pita chips. The prices are very reasonable.. I went and waited in the car. The food was ready in about 8 minutes and the gentlemen brought it out to my car, which was very nice. I liked the chicken gyro. It was different textures because of the toppings with a good taste and crunch. The chicken tawook was also good. I liked the beef as well, it was tender and the sauce on it was good. The hummas and tzatziki sauce tasted good also. It made the gyros better. I like that the gyros are rolled kinda long and thin so its easy to eat without everything spilling out. You could easily eat it and drive. The rice was cooked just right. It had no flavor at all, but it was somehow still good... I'd return to try other things. If your looking to try some different foods, this is a good place to try... I got some drinks and a few were good, but one was to sweet. I had fun picking out random things to try though. 4 stars!!

I had the Brizola - Lamb steak w/ Broccoli and lemon rosemary potatoes - fantastically tender cut of lamb, broccoli aldente and bright - the potatoes were packed with flavor, a perfect side for the lamb. Quite literally almost every single day. And this is my honest review. The food is 10/10. I haven't had anything from here that I have not liked. The chicken soup is my favorite thing on the menu, as I have a lot of health issues that makes it harder for me to eat than most, so it's nice to have something so delish and easy to eat. I had it for dinner for 5 days straight last week. The service. I've only had one wonderful server here. We came in last night and got service that made me want to write this review. The servers here really need to learn to write orders down. So far 5 of my trips here, the servers haven't written anything down and had messed up almost every single thing we ordered. Which makes ME feel like a burden because then of course "it wasn't their fault". Even when you ask them to write things down, they're still cocky and don't. Towards the end of our night, we hadn't seen our server in a VERY long time. Didn't come back to ask if we needed refills ONCE after we got our food. We literally didn't see her again. We then were being helped by a man who made it feel like we were being shoved out the door. I still tipped 20% but I'm truly regretting it now. That was a $22 tip that honestly no one deserved. Even the woman who was delivering food for the server was getting annoyed because she kept bringing out the wrong items, because the server didn't remember everything we told her. I'll probably just continue getting takeout from here because truly I'm not a fan of the service at all. I'm sick of tipping culture especially at restaurants like this, where food is a bit pricey, so two people ends up being over $100, and that's automatically a $20 tip. I recommend eating here. But for takeout.
