He walked through the home, placing pet and child safe baits in strategic locations. He explained how mice move through homes and the damage they can do in clear terms. First of all, I don't think they have a great business policy. I called because I had a mouse problem and they were great with coming out same day. I was ecstatic! The guy came in and went from room to room including my attic. Then he came down and informed me he placed all these feeding stations throughout the condo. Said it would take a few weeks, gave me his business card and left. The next think I know I get a bill for $250! I live in a small condo!! And no one told me how much it would be. I called and complained and they brought the bill down to $230. I got the amount due from a phone call. I received no paperwork. Only a business card. Needless to say...it didn't even work. I had to have a different company come out. For a portion of the price they walk you through everything, come back to check on the feeding stations, plug up holes, and will even come back a third time if necessary. Shame on me for not following the Alert person around my house and shame on me for not demanding he take the feeding stations out until I get a quote. I will never recommend Alert Pest to anyone!! In response to the owner's comment...I didn't pay the invoice timely because I was in shock at how the business operates and I certainly wasn't going to call you back for another bill when the first service provided didn't work. Its not my job to look at Yelp reviews for quotes. They should be provided prior to the services being performed. I understand you usually provide a quote, but you didn't. Blonde was great at taking my calls and steve who comes out to your home knows everything about every bug or rodent. This is the second time I used Alert pest control services, but it was for a different issue. I cannot say enough about the professionalism of this company. Ethan arrived on time and inspected the basement for any evidence of rodents and happily there were none. He replaced the bait in the bait boxes. He then went upstairs to the attic where I had heard noise, and did not see evidence of anything but put bait boxes in there as well. And even better news: Because I was a repeat customer and there was very little to be done I received a hefty discount from the quoted price. This is the only extermination company I will ever use. Labor Day morning 2018 at 5:30am was one our household won't forget for many years. We were woken up to paper wasps having bored a hole through the sheet rock wall in our bedroom directly over our headboard. Obviously, we understood getting anyone to help us on a holiday was going to be tough. However, with allergies in the family and wasps now in the occupied spaces of the house, with toddlers bedrooms close by this was something that had to be dealt with immediately. I called both answering service numbers for our regular pest control company that we had done business with for years with a good track record of success. Naturally, being a holiday they didn't get back to me till mid day the following day. I ended up calling 7 companies total that morning to see if anyone could help us. The Orkin folks, I thought would have been a sure bet to help us not have to sleep in a hotel that night. They are a sizable corporation and I hoped they would have folks available on a holiday. Their response was, "We can come by later this week and take a look, and the price is $314." My response to Orkin was please don't bother scheduling anything with us, we have wasps in the living quarters of our house, allergies in the family that could be fatal, and you want to be here in 3-5 days..Forget it. At this point it was mid morning, I randomly found Alert Pest Control online. Steve Milner the owner himself answered my call immediately. I had never met him, or anyone that had done business with him. I described the situation we had, and the concerns I had for my family. Without hesitation Steve stated he would be here in 2 hours or less. An hour later he arrived, for a client he had never met, on the morning of a National Holiday. Steve quickly took care of our wasp issue. His service charge was far less than Orkin had quoted, and his charge included emergency holiday response as well as a warranty. Orkin was going to be more money on a normal business day. I couldn't say enough nice things about this guy. Steve couldn't be a friendlier, professional individual. We've never had any insect problems in our home until about 2 weeks ago. I contacted Steve last Friday (9/13) for a roach problem in my kitchen and we were able to set something up for today, the following Friday (9/20). Over the phone, he throughly explained how this problem happens and what measures he uses to solve it. With a better understanding thanks to his patience, I felt slightly more at ease as any infestation can be overwhelming. Today he was running ahead (rare occasion) and was able to come one hour earlier than scheduled which was wonderful since I've been anticipating his arrival. Once he came, he greeted me with a warm smile and showed me all of the tools he would be using and again explained the entire process. Came in and was done in about 20 minutes while happily answering all of the questions I was asking.
