I cannot recommend this shop based on my experience…read more I brought my vehicle in for a window tint installation, and within a day I noticed multiple issues. Several areas of the tint were already peeling, there were bubbles throughout the film, and there was hair and other debris trapped underneath the tint. This was not the quality of work I expected from a professional installer. Before leaving my car, I specifically explained that the rear hatch handle was brittle and demonstrated how to open it properly. When I picked up my vehicle, the handle had been broken. When I returned to discuss the damage and the failing tint, the owner refused to acknowledge either issue. Instead of addressing the poor workmanship or taking responsibility for the damaged handle, he offered only a refund if the tint was removed. After discussing it further, I was able to receive a refund while keeping the tint in place, but there was still no acknowledgment of the damage to my vehicle or the quality of the installation. I appreciate receiving my money back, but I would have preferred a professionally installed product and accountability for the damage done to my car. Based on my experience, I would not trust this shop with another vehicle.

The car audio industry lacks any formal quality controls and many of the new vehicles come with advanced, integrated computer systems which means aftermarket audio installs are more complex and must tie into the car's existing head unit. Being that anyone can set up a business, call themselves an expert, and tear into your vehicle, you are entrusting valuable and necessary electronics to the person you hire to work on your car audio. I learned all of this the hard way over the last few months. I made a significant investment into an aftermarket audio system for my 2018 Honda Accord. I entrusted Yelp reviews and chose a shop that promised quick results. After the install, I started noticing problems. I hired another shop to tune the stereo because the shop that installed it, told me they didn't do that (should have been a red flag). The system still did not sound right. I started making calls around town, asking who worked with high end car audio. I was referred to Audio by Art. I swallowed hard after Art listened to my car and told me he would need to take a look at the install. He was not willing to suggest a solution without knowing the depth of the problem. I really appreciated that. He ultimately had to spend an entire week having the redo everything. He showed me photos of the previous work and his work, night and day difference. The previous shop cut every corner. Art is a master tech. He is thorough. He also wisely chooses to install the equipment he knows. He has a network of peers that he consults. I appreciate that level of professionalism. Audio by Art is the place in San Antonio to go to if you really care about quality and honest work. You get what you pay for. The entire interaction from the time I parked, my interaction with their employee and moving the SUV was 30 seconds or less. Not this extended timeline in their post. At no time was i upset about having to move my SUV, I was upset and disappointed in how I was treated. I'll agree I missed all the signs and large door out of excitement to talk with them about potentially getting a new toy for the SUV. Just a simple upgrade to the radio, it's a bit outdated. I scheduled to drop off my car at 12 and was told it should be ready around 3:30. The car want ready until 5:30. It wouldn't have been a big deal, but I had to be somewhere by 6:30 and it put me in a time crunch. Overall no big deal. I would still recommend this place, just make sure you have the extra time.
