I had driven by Light Source Lighting in Plano many times and it was very eye catching from the road. I went in one day and was greeted by Eric Schaefer. I described our home and he showed me around the beautiful showroom then began pulling catalogs for fixtures he thought would fit our style. Once I began working with him, it quickly became my favorite part of building our home. I still love my lighting after all these years! Since our home, we have done several other, larger projects. I always look forward to the stage of picking out the lighting, it is my favorite part of the building/renovating process. Nope!  The more I looked the harder it became because I wasn't sure of fixture sizes to buy for our spaces. Our electrician suggested we go to Littmen Bros. Interiors. What a great suggestion!! From the moment we walked in the door we were so excited to see all the beautiful fixtures in person. We met and worked with Lisa who is outstanding. We showed Lisa pictures of all our existing fixtures  and provided room measurements to give her an idea  of the scale.   She said this will be fun! She gave us ideas on sizes to consider. Everything I liked initially was way to small.  Lisa was fantastic making sure we ordered the perfect size for each space. We purchased 5 fixtures: A foyer 12 drop amazing fixture, 2 lights for the cat walk which are gorgeous and look fantastic with the foyer lighting, a beautiful hand made crystal candelabra chandelier for the dinning room and a large two tone  round fixture for the laundry room. The issue turned out to involve the transformer in addition to the bulb, and required some modifications on parts in order to make the new transformer work with the existing components of the light. Pat and Julio were FANTASTIC!!! They both went way above and beyond to help me figure out the problem and create the right solution, and they understood my urgency in resolving the problem - I was less than 2 days away from selling my home. Their help was instrumental in resolving an issue that I would have otherwise had to provide remuneration for with the buyer at closing. Thanks you Pat and Julio!

We had previously done this for the bedroom so we had a route planned - department stores, furniture stores then Oakbrook. This previously successful route resulted in nothing. Nada. Zilch. Going south on 355 I had a vague memory of a lighting store in Orland Park just off 159th. We arrived and I noticed it was now an outlet store. EVEN BETTER! The salesman explained how it worked and we found two new lamps for the bedroom, deciding to move the new bedroom lamps to the living room. Then my husband dropped a bombshell on me - he had always hated the floor lamps in the entry and living room. Good thing we are in lamp heaven here! We went home with 4 lamps for less than we had paid for the two bedroom lamps. No country lamps anywhere to be found in our house and plenty of good light. Score! In particular, Alice took her time with me, researching options, checking multiple suppliers and answering my questions about light fixtures. She was fantastic. The showroom is also really nice. Hundreds of lights are on display, and connected to motion sensors so they turn on when you approach. This was overall a great customer service and shopping experience.

I needed to return one light bulb and have her check on another. She called me first thing the next morning to let me know they didn't carry it but told me exactly where I could find it.
