He hopped in the car and drove 1 yard, immediately told me what he thought it was, and warned me to avoid driving the rest of the weekend as grinding the wheel in extreme heat was risky. He said to come back first thing Monday morning to get it lifted up and properly examined. Came back Monday and the team figured out I needed to replace the caliper and brakes. Price was fair and they said they could do it same day within 3 hours, so I let them work on it and had them do an oil change as well. I'm very grateful for Brian and his team, taking the time to explain what was actually needed and why, and not overselling me on additional services. I'm so glad I finally found a new trusted mechanic! Will definitely take my car to Brian and the team for all future maintenance services.

Brian estimated that he could have my car fixed within a few days. The whole job took one week because he found other significant damage in the interior of my car which I didn't know about. Overall he communicated well, asked if I wanted to fix everything and had such a positive attitude. Also they do excellent work for a reasonable price. I almost wanted to keep this gem to myself but the world (or Silver Spring) needs to know where to go for superior auto care whether mechanical or auto body. They also cleaned the interior of my car. I don't want to come back for anything other than oil changes but if I need a job done in the future, I know where to go. The dealership took 3 WEEKS to even get us AN ESTIMATE, and they wanted to replace the ENTIRE electrical system for NEARLY $6,000. We wanted a second opinion. A friend recommended Moshe's Auto Care -- backed up by stellar reviews. When we called, Moshe was kind and honest. He couldn't give us an estimate without seeing the car, but having decades of experience, he couldn't imagine charging thousands for rodent damage. The car was towed to Moshe, and he started work immediately. He was able to repair -- not replace -- the wiring, for LESS THAN $400. And he did it in half a day. We needed all four brakes (pads + rotors) replaced and some Check Engine light codes deciphered and…read moreremedied (aka, please fix the things that are wrong with my car) on our 2012 American-make vehicle. $1450 later, they replaced three brakes, one of which apparently had the caliper improperly reattached, which started shredding the new brake pads just 500 highway miles into a roadtrip the day after the work was done -- the wheel was smoking and thumping against the rotors so we could not drive over 25mph. This resulted in a partially destroyed caliper = another costly repair once labor was included, not to mention being broken down on the side of an Alabama byway. The Check Engine light remedy? "There are a lot of codes - we can't fix it all, but it is just small things... you should be fine" is the response they gave us, and they sent us away with the Check Engine light on. We really needed work done on this car before a trip. We used them because of their good reviews, and on top of the shoddy work, it was as if they did not want our business in the first place when they did not want to help with the Check Engine light issues. Will not go back here again, ever. Do NOT recommend.
