He offered me to give me a ride back home while they were servicing my car, which was amazing customer service!!! Gave me a call later and told me my car was ready to go. Now with a new owner Ive taken my cars in three times and each time I get chastised by the new owner. If I ask for advice I'm talked to like a child and told they don't fix any specially cars. Called the night prior, and arranged for the wife's car, 0830 drop-off, for a normal service and a vehicle check, next day. Derek agreed. I forgot the next morning, but called 09:30 AM, Derek agreed and I brought the car right over. At the drop off, described the wife's description of steering issues and the hot/cold knob temperature problem. Derek agreed to have it looked at. Received a phone call and Derek said both the engine and car air filters were dirty and should be changed. He told me that they had rotated the tires and was going to take the car out for a ride to check the steering. He called again and said that the car was fine but thought that the problem with the steering was the tires. He pointed out that the tires were eleven years old and he thought that they were internally starting to separate, and that it was probably time to get new tires. I agreed and returned to pay off the bill and picked up the car so I could take it to a tire store. Extremely happy with the service and consul on the condition of my vehicle. read more

I've been a customer of Miller's close to 15 years and became a regular about a year after I began to do rideshare. I would bug Eric constantly with any questions regarding car maintenance and he would always answer them no matter how dumb I may have looked to ask the oddest questions and a business relationship was sparked. The years have passed. Wendy has sold the shop and Eric is no longer there but I could not be happier with the new owner. A couple of years ago, prices for regular maintenance begin to SKYROCKET to the point where it made no sense for me to do my regular maintenance at the shop any more. I was a little frustrated because Miller's didn't just feel like MY MECHANIC but MY FRIEND until the prices begin to feel like I was being taken advantage of or that my business wasn't appreciated any more. I'm a rideshare driver and I was getting 8-10 oil changes a year at the shop. It didn't make sense for me to give Wendy my business any more for regular maintenance. I understood the philosophy. I was "just an oil change" and really more of a hassle for a shop but what the old shop manager maybe failed to understand was that it wasn't just a car he was maintaining: the shop was maintaining the ease and comfort I had giving my hard earned money to them. The new shop owner, DERRICK has given the shop a 180 degree TURN!!! I LOOK FORWARD to getting my maintenance done and I have watched the results pay for themselves. I drive a 2020 Toyota Corolla Hybrid and when I account for the cost of gas, tire wear, oil, oil filter, air filter, cabin filter, and HYBRID BATTERY MAINTENANCE my car costs me about $0.12 a mile to operate. Since I've returned to regular maintenance at Miller's I've put over 20,000 miles on my car and have seen my MPG climb 3.5-4 MPG which has saved me nearly $140/month!!!! I will save nearly $1700 (if gas prices remain the same) after one year by returning to Miller's for my service. It's money in the bank in a time when it's hard to keep money in the bank but most importantly Derrick has rekindled a business friendship I can depend on and HIGHLY RECCOMMEND. I can't thank Derrick enough for the work he's put in to keep me a customer and writing this review is the least I can do for ALL of his EFFORTS!!! read more

What could improve? In short; The ownership. Ever since Wendy sold to that brash, self-righteous, know-it-all Derrick; everything declined. Customer service, quality of service, accountability for services rendered...When a shop has a car for over a month to the tune of 3k, and the car is returned with different / new problems, AND the ownership refuses to accept responsibility; OR EVEN FINISH THE WORK (he washed his hands of us-said they wouldn't work on it anymore) and yells at you as if you were the one trying to pull a fast one-then you find a new mechanic. Coincidentally; you then proceed to tell everyone you know, post some detailed reviews, get the work done correctly someplace else that treated me like a decent PAYING CUSTOMER, and life goes on, better than before without the poisonous and disastrous auto mechanic experience you were just subjected to. Unfortunately the service has gone downhill since the owner, Wendy, sold the shop. They told me it was time to replace a timing chain in my car based on just looking at the mileage since it was at about 100k miles. But those chains can last 2-300k with regular maintenance. The mechanic at my work checked my car and verified that the timing chain is fine. The new owner told me a bunch of stuff about the prices being a lot cheaper now that he's running the place, but I kept my old receipts and numbers don't lie. It's more expensive now. The labor rate is also more expensive. I don't expect a mechanic to be cheap or affordable, but I do expect to be able to trust them. I just flat out don't trust this place anymore which is a shame because my family was loyal to Millers for decades. Most of their previous mechanics appear to have left as well. read more

Service to my vehicle was quick and price was reasonable. Providing transportation (from Miller's to my home and later return) was a plus. Never, ever in my life have I received such incredible customer service (in any industry!) than with Miller's. Since my 2017 Jeep Cherokee is pretty new-ish, I haven't had to deal with a mechanic for many years, and was absolutely flustered when it stopped working. I had to go off of my best friend's recommendation for something trustworthy and near home/work, and I couldn't be more pleased. I called Miller's less than an hour before closing and asked Eric if I could tow it in, and without hesitating, he said yes. He was kind, professional, and accommodating. When he called me the next day to inform me of what was going on (and this is the most important part...) he actually broke it down in words this clueless gal could comprehend. I feel that too often specialized industries throw large phrases at us in an attempt to get away with a heftier price tag, but Eric made sure I understood everything he was saying. I've never gotten so much detail before!! I wrote down my notes, did my research, and found that he was right on track with the diagnosis and the price quoted was beyond fair. Communication was so seamless throughout the week that my Jeep was under his care. I never felt like I was bothering him by checking up, and even when I needed to stop by to grab something I had left in my car, he greeted me by first name and with a smile. Eric actually found a better solution to the problem that saved me money, and oddly enough, meant less payment for him. But apparently, a happy customer was more important to him. Had an engine lite on.. They ran diagnostics and found that it was a warning on Cadillac converter that most of the time resetting the warning light was enough. That if the light came back on to bring it back in for another look. I believe that some auto repair businesses would have taken advantage of the situation and even perhaps found other issues. They sent me on my way without charge and didn't find anything wrong. They even added air to my tires. I have to say the building also looked well managed and clean very professional compare to other mechanics I've used in the past. read more

Anyway I wish I could say I was greeted with a beverage on the 90 degree day but after telling the receptionist I was going next door for a Coke all I got when he looked up was "ok." Charged me $45 to inspect my brakes and then told it would be $834! for complete replacement of front and rear rotors and pads. At those prices I'll pass. Miller's you can do better then that. I drive a 65 mustang and I needed to get my distributer replaced . First took the car to Pepboys and had a disasterous experience, from multiple visits to even body damage to the car (will write my review on them when I see if they own up to their mistakes or give me the run around). Super thankful for an honest shop like Miller's! Came here after having received news from another shop that my car would need $2,000 in maintenance. After dropping my car off for what was anticipated to be an entire day's worth of work, I received a call a few hours later stating that they completed an inspection and no maintenance was needed at this time or anytime soon. They simply had to dust off a few parts and everything was good to go. They could have very much taken advantage of the situation and charged me for all of the things I relayed to them that were problematic (per the other shop), but they are honest and reliable. Not to mention the staff, Eric and Wendy, are incredibly respectful and efficient. I have been here a few times and each time I am always more than satisfied with the services provided. Wow. I'm impressed. We moved into the area two and a half years ago. I hate finding a new auto shop, so I've driven down to a place I trust in San Juan Capistrano when I've needed anything done. Last week our air conditioning broke and I needed it fixed for a trip ASAP. I found the reviews on here and decided to give Miller a try. I'm so glad I did! I was pleasantly surprised during the entire experience. I was treated with respect, was given a good price that was even less than I anticipated, and got my car back the same day with air conditioning as good as new.
