The families that attend Wise have similar values and goals for their children and bring diversity and warmth to the community with their cultural backgrounds. The administration has been extremely supportive during the pandemic, with a flexible and balanced approach to ensure as normal as possible of an elementary school experience for the kids. The head of school communicates with parents on a weekly basis to ensure transparency as well as to accept feedback from the community. Wise is a leader amongst other schools, tuned-in with the needs of like-minded families and operating from a place of reason. I know our children will leave Wise with a strong sense of self and confidence as kind young adults armed both academically and socially to handle whatever lies ahead.

Other parents are very involved and helpful, creating a wonderful community. The principal is very motivated and kind, and the school's priest has a special talent for explaining religion to children in a way that's both entertaining and knowledgeable. I attended GSBH myself, and as an adult I appreciate even more how crucial this school is to a young person's development. I remain deeply thankful for it. Now, after we switched schools, my daughters attend GSBH too, and in just one month I've seen them grow in such a positive way. There aren't enough words to express how highly I think of this school.

I talked to Ari in October for my date in August . First thing he told me "let me see if we have your date available " the answer was yes and I toured the place . We emailed back and forth a few times about pricing and other stuff . They even approved my Rabbi . When I asked him to send me the contract in February, he said there is a program in that room and we can not set up or enter the room until 10:30 or 11 . and after a few more emails, he didn't even bother getting back to me ! I had to change my plans to do the service at home . Have I known that , I wouldn't have started major construction in my house ! Long story, short , we had to rush the construction to finish by August to host the event at home . This has been the most stressful time of my life and every day I'm so mad at them for handling this so poorly ! They are very disorganized and have the worse management !

In my opinion being kind, respectful, and nice should automatically been granted and given to people. Especially to the ones that work, preach and welcome you into their beautiful church. This review is specifically about father Mike and the others that work the community. He is very condescending, pretentious, and not very kind. PRACTICE WHAT YOU PREACH father Mike!!! People at this church are not very nice, nor are they kind or friendly, They walk away from you or and don't care what you have to ask or say. I have already experienced this at this church at least 5 times by different people...including father Mike. If they don't know you and you are not their favorite or a regular face that they see, they will ignore and silence you right infront of you. If that's NOT RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL, then what do you call this kind of BEHAVIOR?? AND THESE ARE CHURCH PEOPLE? PART OF THE CONGREGATION?? BE NICE, KIND AND RESPECTFUL to everyone and treat everyone with kindness, respect and fairness. And it doesn't cost anything. If they started charging for kindness...they would shape up and get their acts together. Yesterday was Easter Sunday and I called around 10:45am to find out if there was a mass and the time for the last mass. A man answered the phone with an attitude and anger in his voice and said YES, IT'S EASTER. I said I know it's Easter, but what time is the last mass??He then was more curt, short, rude, and abrupt with his one word answer and said 12. To top that off he hung up on me before I got a chance to say thank you. This happened few times with me at this church with their people. Totally UNACCEPTABLE!!! Is this how GOD wants people to treat one another?? The church itself is beyond BEAUTIFUL, BRIGHT and I felt in love with it instantly. That is when I started going there in the beginning. I truly loved going there for the past 6 years. Now, I feel like I am on pins and needles when I have to walk in. I feel like I am NOT WELCOME HERE at St. Francis De Sales Roman Catholic Church. But that's ok. God sees everything and watches everyone from above. I believe it is time for me to find another church to go to where I am much more WELCOMED!! I wish I could have given 5 stars, but for now after all this that I have witnessed and experienced...2 stars will do until they change their attitude and behavior. One star for the beautiful church, and the second star for the garden and outside of the church. The architecture. Last but NOT least, when it is time for donation and accepting other type of donations/offerings such as, clothes, shoes, food etc...they put their fake smiles along with their poker faces and accept my donation/S HAPPILY with OPEN ARMS.

It's a small school, but that's great for feeling known. It's easy to feel like staff cares about the children. Rigorous education - there is such a good push for a solid educational foundation. We felt like the pacing was good whereby it didn't feel like too much time was ever spent on any one lesson. I found myself amazed at times with what my daughter had picked up in school. Small class size - I guess this can be a pro or a con depending on what you're looking for. I really appreciate the small class size because it felt like extra attention would be given to the students. The small size lends itself to the feeling that the teachers can really identify any areas where the students might be falling behind. In fact, our child had been needing some extra help from us in a certain area and the teacher was quick to identify it to us so that we could take action. I really liked that. After-school curriculars - it seems like a nice blend of offerings throughout the school year to accommodate a lot of interests. Drama and after-school sports class always seemed to be popular. Safety - even though the school is right off Pico, the school really feels safe and secure. They have a good system to keep track of the children and solid gates and doors. During Covid, they really kept a good system for keeping the kids safe. There was weekly testing and great response times when there were positive cases. Tuition - the cost does go up each year, but it feels manageable and in line with costs that increase in all other areas of life these days. No complaints there. There are tuition discounts when you become a member of the church. Playground - while there isn't playground, the kids seem to really enjoy the blacktop area. They can run around and play games. They can also play basketball and volleyball. In the end, we are really happy that we chose St Timothy. It's been a great experience thus far and we look forward to more years here.

Overall these bad reviews are all lies, and if they are true all of the bad teachers are gone. Another reason why this school is amazing is because of the principal. Instead of the sone principals in other schools just sitting down and waiting in a office this, instead he takes care of the school by talking to students sone times watching over the students and he also helps direct the school amazingly while doing all of that. I was delighted to hear a program packed with myriad Hanukkah songs, from "Hanukkah o Hanukkah" to "Kindled by the Flame" (which references Hanukkah and Menorahs in every verse, complete with wiggling candle fingers). And of course the classic "Happy Hanukkah". All of these songs were absolutely beautiful, especially because each song was presented INTACT, without censorship. But what was ugly was the School's systematic censorship of "Christmas". Not a single time did the word Christmas get sung, and it was not by accident. The concert was so thoroughly de-Jesused that even the great "Have yourself a Merry Little Christmas" was bastardized to "Have yourself a Merry *Winter Season*"! I am the father of a family of church-going followers of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and Christmas marks His birth into this world. That said, I don't expect our public school to be teaching my kids Christmas hymns. But if Lanai staff ARE going to teach my son religious songs, then they cannot discriminate against Christians by deliberately avoiding and excising any mention of Christmas like it's Kryptonite. I cannot imagine the uproar if the entire music program had been filled with expressly Christmas songs and the closest thing to mentioning Hanukkah was "Happy Other Winter Thing". If Lanai is low-key trying to be a public Hebrew school, that's not what we signed up for. As a public school Lanai must be accountable to all its students, and to Federal Laws prohibiting religious discrimination.
