One of the most important aspects to us is seeing how much our children love their teachers! Every aspect of how a child develops is incredibly considered, thought-out, and seamlessly integrated into their daily learning. We are so proud to be a part of this one-of-a-kind, supportive community.

Each week, our daughter was asked to come with money to pay for school-wide events, usually to buy Dollar Tree junk food -- a transparent effort of the school to raise much needed money. Volleyballs (the only feature of the "athletics department") are misshapen, lopsided and ripping at the seams. What's more, every water fountain is broken and students are discouraged from using the restroom In groups as a way to avoid high water and power bills. Aside from the more obvious signs, the lack of funding is even clearer behind the scenes: the school holds a "Teachers Matter" fundraiser because the school can't afford to pay its teachers what they deserve, and we parents are asked to contribute even more to teachers' paychecks. In fact, almost everything about the school is a fundraiser: Parents Night Out, pep rallies, school plays and the Cultural Heritage Festival. The only thing more lacking than funds at St. Tim's is the school's leadership. We're so happy we finally left.

We were blessed with this church and the friendships we are building. We have been members of the church for six years now and feel so grateful for this church, the pastor, and all the people we know. Most of the people at the church go above and beyond to help you or just make sure you feel how special you are. I can't help but think about the Love God has for us all. Unconditional Love! May God keep blessing my church family.

I mean, not only is it in an original, historical (and beautiful) church building constructed by Aimee Semple McPherson, the church still practices the original Pentecostal doctrine that Foursquare was once famous for. Pastor Rob Scribner, the senior pastor, is a sharp guy -- a great Bible teacher -- with an inspiring testimony as a former NFL football player and succesful business man. His family is active in the church and his children have excellent testimonies. I wish more Foursquare Churches operated like this one. There is a lot of spiritual life here and the Church has a large Spanish ministry and a Christian School. They seem to be very active in Church planting and missionary work as well. The only downside is the limited parking as the area has grown up around the original property since it was established almost 90 years ago. Worth visiting on a Sunday!

The families that attend Wise have similar values and goals for their children and bring diversity and warmth to the community with their cultural backgrounds. The administration has been extremely supportive during the pandemic, with a flexible and balanced approach to ensure as normal as possible of an elementary school experience for the kids. The head of school communicates with parents on a weekly basis to ensure transparency as well as to accept feedback from the community. Wise is a leader amongst other schools, tuned-in with the needs of like-minded families and operating from a place of reason. I know our children will leave Wise with a strong sense of self and confidence as kind young adults armed both academically and socially to handle whatever lies ahead.

They work so incredibly hard to make sure that all children are getting the best possible education! All the while teaching our children how to be good people in the world. I love this school and community and feel beyond blessed to be apart of it as do my children. We actually left for a short bit because I live next to a public school. We ran back as quickly as we could there is just no comparison to private school verses public on so many levels but the one I appreciate the most is my kids are thriving at Wise because the entire staff loves what they do from the front security to the lovely girls in the front office. This is a very special community and school where everyone is happy and living their best lives.

Lanai Road Elementary School

I regularly pray for Lanai and for all of its amazing staff and parent volunteers…read more I just attended my Kindergartner's "Winter Concert". I was delighted to hear a program packed with myriad Hanukkah songs, from "Hanukkah o Hanukkah" to "Kindled by the Flame" (which references Hanukkah and Menorahs in every verse, complete with wiggling candle fingers). And of course the classic "Happy Hanukkah". All of these songs were absolutely beautiful, especially because each song was presented INTACT, without censorship. But what was ugly was the School's systematic censorship of "Christmas". Not a single time did the word Christmas get sung, and it was not by accident. The concert was so thoroughly de-Jesused that even the great "Have yourself a Merry Little Christmas" was bastardized to "Have yourself a Merry *Winter Season*"! I am the father of a family of church-going followers of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and Christmas marks His birth into this world. That said, I don't expect our public school to be teaching my kids Christmas hymns. But if Lanai staff ARE going to teach my son religious songs, then they cannot discriminate against Christians by deliberately avoiding and excising any mention of Christmas like it's Kryptonite. I cannot imagine the uproar if the entire music program had been filled with expressly Christmas songs and the closest thing to mentioning Hanukkah was "Happy Other Winter Thing". If Lanai is low-key trying to be a public Hebrew school, that's not what we signed up for. As a public school Lanai must be accountable to all its students, and to Federal Laws prohibiting religious discrimination.

There are many enrichments that Lanai pays for Out-Of-Pocket. Sone of these include Computer Lab, with macs PE With an amazing coach and Science with an amazing teacher. Overall these bad reviews are all lies, and if they are true all of the bad teachers are gone. Another reason why this school is amazing is because of the principal. Instead of the sone principals in other schools just sitting down and waiting in a office this, instead he takes care of the school by talking to students sone times watching over the students and he also helps direct the school amazingly while doing all of that. Overall this school is amazing and I would recommend enrolling right now! -Hugo 4th Grade 2023

COVID was not over, so I decided to stand near the door where I could feel the fresh air. I'm glad they kept the two main doors open. I did remain standing up for the entire mass, which I didn't mind. They removed the dipping containers for the holy water near the front and back door, but you can still dip your fingers in the water feature they use for baptism. For the donation, they removed the basket that was being passed around. You can drop off your donation before you exit the church, or you can donate online which I prefer. They have their app called Saint Paul, and from their app, you can view all their events and they use "Give" for donations. Plenty of parking space and they have excellent security. If you are in the area, please visit this church. All are welcome.

He's dismissive with any suggestion from the congregation and doesn't even give the time to talk with us. He's not open to any kind of feedback from St Paul the Apostle School. I get the feeling that he's angry about something or somebody like maybe he's unhappy with the Paulists? He should stop directing his frustrations at us. He's even discouraged people from contributing time and money to the parish. The priests in NYC probably don't know what's going on over here and if they did, do they have anyone who can replace him? Either way, his leadership undermines the work that we do.
