One of the most important aspects to us is seeing how much our children love their teachers! Every aspect of how a child develops is incredibly considered, thought-out, and seamlessly integrated into their daily learning. We are so proud to be a part of this one-of-a-kind, supportive community.

This burden is transferred to parents: we're…read moreasked and expected to provide classroom essentials -- pencils, paper, markers, cleaning supplies, etc. -- through teachers' Amazon wishlists. Each week, our daughter was asked to come with money to pay for school-wide events, usually to buy Dollar Tree junk food -- a transparent effort of the school to raise much needed money. Volleyballs (the only feature of the "athletics department") are misshapen, lopsided and ripping at the seams. What's more, every water fountain is broken and students are discouraged from using the restroom In groups as a way to avoid high water and power bills. Aside from the more obvious signs, the lack of funding is even clearer behind the scenes: the school holds a "Teachers Matter" fundraiser because the school can't afford to pay its teachers what they deserve, and we parents are asked to contribute even more to teachers' paychecks. In fact, almost everything about the school is a fundraiser: Parents Night Out, pep rallies, school plays and the Cultural Heritage Festival. The only thing more lacking than funds at St. Tim's is the school's leadership. We're so happy we finally left.

We were blessed with this church and the friendships we are building. We have been members of the church for six years now and feel so grateful for this church, the pastor, and all the people we know. Most of the people at the church go above and beyond to help you or just make sure you feel how special you are. I can't help but think about the Love God has for us all. Unconditional Love! May God keep blessing my church family.

I mean, not only is it in an original, historical (and beautiful) church building constructed by Aimee Semple McPherson, the church still practices the original Pentecostal doctrine that Foursquare was once famous for. Pastor Rob Scribner, the senior pastor, is a sharp guy -- a great Bible teacher -- with an inspiring testimony as a former NFL football player and succesful business man. His family is active in the church and his children have excellent testimonies. I wish more Foursquare Churches operated like this one. There is a lot of spiritual life here and the Church has a large Spanish ministry and a Christian School. They seem to be very active in Church planting and missionary work as well. The only downside is the limited parking as the area has grown up around the original property since it was established almost 90 years ago. Worth visiting on a Sunday!

Seeing my child grow academically and spiritually for the last four years has been very rewarding, to say the least. As a Teacher myself, I can confidently leave my child with a peace of mind. Knowing my child is taken care of and is receiving the personalized education needed to be successful is very valuable to us. Another reason why I recommend this place is because of the student to teacher ratio. This is part of the reason why our children are successful. Lastly, I want to commend the teachers and specially the Principal/Teacher here at Grace. She goes above and beyond for our students and the ministry alone at Grace Christian School; her mission and vision are truly admirable. And her leadership is remarkable. She takes her service to this community to another level. A great example of what a great servant of God looks like, trying to make a difference in this world. She is adamant to offer the best education possible to our children and leads her teachers to high standards. If you are looking for a passionate leader, that strives her best to take care of your children with love, respect, fairness and compassion, in a safe environment, this is the right place.

--- As a child, I…read moreattended this school in third grade and had a teacher named Miss Killian (spelling may vary). She was the most abusive educator and individual I have ever encountered in my life. Recently, I saw a news story about a teacher who forced a child to duct tape their own mouth--a shocking incident that made headlines. That is exactly what this teacher did to me. She was a physically imposing figure, over 400 pounds, struggling to walk or sit, yet possessed a voice that could shake a room. If she caught me talking, she would unleash a violent scream and apply excessive amounts of duct tape over my mouth--sometimes as many as ten strips, depending on her level of anger. At times, she would force me to tape my own mouth while aggressively throwing my desk into the hallway. As a result, I developed a chapped ring under my bottom lip from the repeated abuse. I never told my mother because I feared I would be the one in trouble. This teacher targeted me specifically--I wasn't talking to myself, yet I bore the brunt of her cruel punishments. It became impossible to make friends after being relentlessly humiliated in front of an entire classroom. The psychological and emotional damage has stayed with me for life. I deeply regret not speaking out sooner, and I shudder to think of how many other children may have suffered at her hands. Given her age and health at the time, I doubt she is still teaching--or even alive. However, this serves as a crucial reminder: parents, pay attention to your children and their teachers. Educators hold the power to shape a child's future, but some, like this woman, wield that power to destroy. --- .

I was on the phone with my sick wife when I was confronted by a crazed security guard. He was extremely rude and threatening. You would think being in a temple and on religious grounds that you would have the highest respect. I asked to see Rabbi Lisa. She was a great disappointment. She calls herself a Rabbi but she acted like a immature woman. No serious apology. Be aware of this institution that calls themselves a temple. Many other schools to join. I did speak to the director Abigail G. Spiegel. Very nice director that did apologize. Still no excuse for the negative experience I relieved. The Director should train her Rabbi's and security better. This isn't a temple just a building with selfish agenda.
