Was on wait list for an intern for five months. After a few months and an initial, very specific,…read morevery retraumatizing intake with an intern, analyst texted saying she could not move forward with therapy, no explanation. Was sent to the back of the line to wait again. Second intern seemed uncomfortable and awkward in our sessions, and did not take responsibility for and took weeks to set me up on their portal - meanwhile our GoogleMeets were not HIIPA complaint and I could not pay for weeks of sessions on a secure payment site. This intern was a "seasoned" therapist (as per the director) but seemed to not have a sense of sophistication with regard to Jungian concepts and I had to explain things to her, so I was paying to teach her. She also yawned during our sessions without covering her mouth, and once cut off our session without care during a very vulnerable moment for me, seemingly having lost track of time, needing to rush off to her next client. The director, Lynn Easley, took no responsibility or accountability for the way i had been treated over the five months or the way this had managed, and proceeded to suggest that the problems were mine, in a gaslighting kind of way, with zero consciousness of her lack of reflection or care. Shockingly unprofessional, lacking in empathy, lacking in customer service, lacking in accountability, lacking in promptness. Indeed, the problem is mine and it is with this organization. I had wonderful and generous responses from the Jungian center in San Francisco and through referrals I was matched with a gifted therapist within three business days of reaching out to them. AVOID THIS CENTER. Terrible experience.

I am very fond of this place, the bookstore and library are a impressive specialty…read more Having attended some lectures, I wish that they had more oomph. Obviously targeted at Jungian analysts (which I am not), the speakers are learned, accomplished and doubtless engrossed with the subject matter. They're intellectually oriented, almost dry and could use a bit of zeal to make it more entertaining. Also the $40 admission is a bit steep for lay people that are not writing off the fee on their taxes as research/education. I've left the lectures feeling that I would have rather spent the money in the bookstore instead. There isn't anything elitist about this place, just maybe needs a B-12 injection? Recommended parking is across the street in the lot for the golf course and park, save yourself some frustration.

Quickly, French comes easier to you, and you don't have to think as much! The visuals on screen he provides as well as the conversation and creative writing help you learn at your own pace! He always wants to make sure the class is tailored to your needs. He has revitalised my love of the French language! I have faith I can be conversational and fluent if I stay consistent with his classes. Omar really helped me get accepted to TAPIF (teaching assistant program in France). I'll be teaching secondaire in Reims, France! It really is thanks to the wonderful lessons I've had with Omar and his lovely recommendation letter.

I've tried other programs (yes, even the highly praised Coucou French Classes in Culver City), but nothing compares to the experience here. Omar's teaching style is thoughtful, visual, and personalized. He breaks everything down clearly, using drawings and illustrations that make complex grammar feel simple. For example, he'll sketch out a concept right there on the board to make sure it really lands. You're not just memorizing--you're actually understanding. He has this way of tuning into what's going on in your brain and adjusting his explanation until it clicks. C'est incroyable (it's incredible)! I also love that we're encouraged to converse with classmates about things relevant to our actual lives. So instead of stiff, outdated dialogues, we're saying things like "Je suis crevé aujourd'hui" (I'm exhausted today) or "J'ai regardé une série hier soir" (I watched a show last night)--and it sticks because it's real. Another huge win? Small class sizes. It feels intimate and safe to make mistakes, ask questions, and really engage. Omar creates a classroom vibe that's relaxed, motivating, and somehow makes you want to do your homework. Compared to my experience at Coucou, where the classes felt a bit more rigid and less individualized, French In Mind has been a breath of fresh air. Omar clearly takes pride in his work--he genuinely cares about our progress, and it shows in every single lesson. If you're serious about learning French and want to actually enjoy the process, this is the class. Franchement, j'adore ce cours (Honestly, I love this class).

I reached out by email and Nancy responded very quickly. In fact, among the things that impressed me initially is how responsive she is to all communication types, with articulate, clear and accessible information. We arranged a phone call to talk about the possibilities and then scheduled a first lesson within a week or two. Nancy's approach is organized and well thought out and is excellent breaking down the essential elements of the skills the older adults need her help to learn. Her warm and kind demeanor and sense of humor put Dad at ease immediately. After every lesson, she provides customized handwritten or computer generated instructions and notes from what they covered, which she ensures make it into his notebook. Nancy keeps me up to date with Dad's progress and is compassionate, understanding and extra patient when he's not having one of his best days. Dad has given up on so many activities in recent years, but he's committed to his learning time with Nancy. It's lovely knowing how much he looks forward to the lessons and always a pleasure to see Nancy arrive at the house. It's a long way to say Nancy's Tech Help for Older Adults is exceptional. I'm confident your experience will be the same.
