This is another nice synagog me and my girlfriend had the pleasure of attending a month ago. Rabbi…read moreis nice here, and the congregation. We made some new friends, and met new people as we did at all the other congragations. I always feel spiritually lifted and encouraged when leaving the buildings.

Great friendly and welcoming folks…read more They invited me in for Rosh 2017 and did not ask for anything. Rabbi Weinberg is also a Lawyer, and Rabbi Rosenberg is a very experienced Rabbi from New York which is always a good sign. The Cantor Brice Megdal was excellent--what a great voice and energy. And Dr. Sarah Sela, a Gastro. Probably the friendliest leadership you will find and very different than most of the Temples in LA that have elitist attitude and not very welcoming, especially if you are single. You will feel very comfortable here Single, Couple, or Family. Everyone is down to earth. What they are looking for are congregants that willing to be a participant as opposed to just paying dues--although they can certainly use dues. Instead of "build it and they will come," here you will help build it and participate. And they are open to all kinds of suggestions if you want to be a leader, a friendly open leader. Like a start-up. People come here from far away because of the comfortable atmosphere of collaboration and cooperation. All ages are represented from Teens to Seniors. If you email Rabbi Weinberg, get ready for a quick response from him--he is very "hands on." I personally had the opportunity to talk with him for the first time before services and immediately you will enjoy his company. He is not only well versed in religious rituals but experienced in law and life and very approachable. It's not easy to find someone like that in a temple in LA or really anywhere. The only thing is that at the Rosh services--too much Hebrew for me--I just don't have that skill, but I am eternally grateful that they invited me when no one else in LA would. If you can read and understand Hebrew--you will be right at home. BTW: If you have any social networking skills--they can use an update to their website as well as promotion to new members on Facebook. Facebook needs to be a key part of the growth of this institution IMHO. No problem parking on Crescent Heights--just watch for cleaning day. They also have their own parking lot. Nice building, great area.

This review is intended for the preschool not the temple .! The jcp is the most unorganized and…read moreunprofessional childhood center in America. It's unsanitary and ran by incompetent stars. The lady who is the head of the preschool her name is "moshkee " does not love children and is nothing but condescending and self-serving. As you enter that I Silletti, all you see is flies and unsanitary surrounding conditions. I am writing this review to help the community do better with where children are being sent and nourished . Unfortunately, the people running this or not affiliated with the temple because the temple itself is always held in High regards and is a proper establishment... this preschool needs to be checked out by not only the Better Business Bureau but also the health department. I'm not only going to be reaching out to child protective services, but I'm also going to make sure that every avenue in platform know how horrible the upkeep and maintenance of the school is as well as the staff, running the entire preschool and how they allow children to be exposed to things no preschool should ever have !!! Goodluck!!

This is not the temple I come to usually, but I was invited here several times before by friends…read morefrom college. The members here are locals, and support the temple very well financially. It shows. Aside from the great investment made in the building, this temple hosts many events in support of the community. There are programs for singles, as well as for youth. To the people that complain about how things are run here: Take a good look around. It's BEVERLY HILLS. Of course there is a lot of money being put into this temple. The money supports the community through its many programs and services. Coming to Beverly Hills to complain about the money it flashes is as stupid as going to the bible belt and complaining how Jesus-centric people are there. Every part of LA has its own personality, and every Jewish temple has its own way of being. If you don't like it, then LEAVE... no one will be missing you anyway.
