I waited in line for about 20 minutes, which wasn't too bad, but had to wait in my car because the waiting room was locked. The oil change itself also took about 20 minutes. The last 5 minutes was because only one technician knew how to use the computer to charge the customers. Imagine my shock at finding out that a simple, no-frills oil change cost $117 plus tax! I was left with little recourse since the work had already been done and I did not ask in advance, but I will not be returning. Car dealerships charge less than that!

I was rushed for time and needing an oil change before heading out on a 6 hour road trip to pick up a horse the next day. My dad offered to take my truck somewhere for me while I was at work, and Trinity was able to fit it in. I knew the truck needed a new fuel filter in the near future which they said they could go ahead and replace, but when they tried it wouldn't fit. My dad was told "It's the right one but a different style" or something of that nature so they put the old one back in. No, what actually happened is somewhere during this visit, someone broke the cap on my fuel filter and didn't bother to say anything. Fast forward to the next day, I am in Pennsylvania hauling 7,000 pounds behind me and begin to smell diesel. My dad said they spilled a bunch messing with the filter so I didn't think much of it until the truck starts smoking and I realize I'm getting about 5 miles to the gallon. Diesel was spewing all over my engine from the broken fuel filter cap. I am very lucky the truck did not blow up on the highway. Do you have any idea how expensive it is to have a truck, steel trailer, and horse transported 3 hours home on a minutes notice? I know this is a Christian establishment so maybe they at least said a prayer for me and for that I am very thankful, but I'm pretty sure the Lord also encourages honesty and I experienced none of that. This is the same place that a while back tried charging me $500 for a new timing belt because "mine was torn". Sorry guys, that car has a timing chain, which is fully intact, and to my knowledge chains don't "tear".

As there were no rental places open when this happened, I stopped by this service station to figure out what the issue was. A group of folks spent about 10 minutes checking it out for me and figured out it was an incorrectly installed oil filter. They were able to replace and get me back on the road quickly so I could finish my journey. I go to Valvoline basically religiously for my oil changes so I'm used to their operating methods. I travel all over so this was my first trip to this location. 1. After I had my service I was told they don't accept the company coupons. I had just gotten a coupon in the mail the week prior for $25 off my oil change. They wouldn't accept it. So now I'm there with my service completed and I have to pay full price. 2. The guys took FOREVER to get us in and done (50min just waiting to pull in). I realized after I got in why, they tried to offer me NO JOKE... 5 different additional services and this was adding much more time to the flow of people who just want to pop in for a quick oil change. I get that you're trying to offer more services and all that but you're not an automotive repair shop and that's why people go through a quick oil change place like this... so you can get in and out without it being 90min ordeal. I don't mind not receiving the presoak, so I opted in for the $20 deal for the other two vehicles. We go at least once a week while out running errands. Sometimes the wash is packed, and sometimes we get right in. Either way, our car is always clean when we leave. And, while I appreciate the free vacuum upgrade, I do wish they'd have them checked more frequently for suction. There just doesn't seem to be enough power to do a really good job on the interior. But, I still use the air and the cleaner for the hard surfaces. Both function properly at all times for me. Personally, I'll keep using this place. It's a good value for the wash. I change my own oil, and detail my own interior, so I don't require those other services. The employees we've spoken to have all been very friendly, and quite willing to help with any known issues. 5 stars, for sure.

And, after calling numerous other locations with no luck and rude staff, I called Midas. Amber answered the phone, with nothing more than hospitality in her voice. I asked her about the empty oil drums, and she asked me to hold. I waited less than 20 seconds before she returned with a response. I was told they did have a couple, and was offered them free of charge. Unlike a few other places that want anywhere from $10-30 per drum. When I arrived to pick up the drums, I was greeted immediately. That was a wonderful first impression. I was asked to back up to a bay and the drums were brought out. The gentleman loaded the drums in the back of the truck for me, and wished me a good day. Now, that may not sound like much to some, but as someone who still remembers how customer service standards used to be, I appreciated the hell out of this location. They have a firm grasp on what it takes to stay in business: The customer. I will not even bother with another location for my vehicle needs. This very small interaction with the team members here told me everything I need to know about their business practices. It's absolutely absurd to me that more places don't adopt the Midas way of doing business.

I brought my vehicle here for a third opinion because the two I received earlier at other places were polar opposites. I dont know the name of the manager at this place but he is simply awesome - knowledgeable and honest. What more can you ask for!! They fixed my issue and charged me only part of the amount because it was not fixed completely right the first time. Just sitting in the waiting area and watching the manager deal with the customers and giving them honest feedback and guidance is a testament to why this place is always so busy!
