I really appreciated the preventive maintenance concepts that Dan practices, which by the way literally keep your teeth from falling out in the long run. While some costs may be higher, I do believe that his heart is in reducing discomfort and in my long term best interest. I recently retired from the Army and can attest that his method and thoroughness is far superior to any previous practice I have experienced. Additionally, his staff is vested in the satisfaction of the patients. We lived in Goodyear 10 years and went to Dr. Wolter during that time. He was a good dentist who did not rip off seniors. His office staff is amazing, never before or since have I felt so welcomed. Well, we moved to Scottsdale 7 years ago and I am still looking for a dental office I feel even half as comfortable with. Also, we have not found senior discounts over here like we had in Goodyear. I had heard a lot of great things about this dentist , Daniel Wolter, from people within the community I live in , so decided to try him. Well was I in for a big disappointment! First of all, let me say his staff is very friendly and he talks a good talk! I went in there for a second opinion on some work recommended by another dentist (only because this guy was so well loved by some in my community). Well along with the recommendation from the other dentist, he told me I needed a crown on a tooth that was giving me no trouble, simply because he said the filling was more than the enamel left on that particular tooth. He quoted me a price $1420.00 for this crown but I got a new patient discount of $100 and a 10% discount for living in community in which I lived. So the net cost was $1200.00 Now that's double the price of most dentists and shame on me for proceeding , knowing his price was way above other dentists. Anyway from the day he put on my temporary crown, I had a toothache which would not go away. I returned to his office and he assured me that the pain would disappear when he replaced the temporary with the permanent crown. WRONG!!! Pain continued. I returned to his office three times for bite adjustments but the pain continued. Finally he tells me maybe I needed a root canal - this is something he NEVER mentioned to me before the crown was put in place. So he gives me a referral to an endodontist, who would then do this for $1198.00. I waited the pain out hoping the tooth would settle down It did not. After three months, I called his office and told one of his staff he needed to help in some way with the financing of this root canal. He refused to do anything except to say he would not charge me to repair the crown. His normal cost for this would be $150 .00 But he would be kind enough to do that for me. REALLY??? What a kind guy!! I eventually went to another dentist who did the root canal for me for $700 .00 and has since also done a crown for $660,00.(with no after pain) . I would not refer this dentist to anyone. I believe he should not have placed a crown on an infected tooth I also believe he could have owned up to his mistake and taken care of the problem. Last but not least, his costs are way out of line !!! read more

I was a patient at Millinnium Dental Arts from 2009 until this summer. Sadly, I moved out of state and am now searching for a new dentist. Good dentists are just hard to find, which is why I was inspired to write this review. I would highly recommend Millennium Dental Arts to anyone who has a fear of the dentist. I'm one of those people who starts wincing and gripping the armrest before the drill even enters my mouth. After my first drilling experience with Dr. Wolter, I knew I'd be going back. He clearly explains every diagnostic procedure and recommendation, allowing you to make an informed decision about your plan of treatment. Dental work is expensive (no matter where you go), and the dental staff helped me prioritize the work that needed to be done so that I could manage it financially. I never felt pressured to have work done that I didn't want, and really appreciated that cosmetic procedures were never pushed. I felt confident that I received high-quality care. The entire staff is friendly, pleasant, and punctual. The office is beautiful, modern, and clean. I also really appreciated that their hours run from late morning to evening, which made it very easy to schedule appointments after work. I had a situation with an old repair that chipped off right on my front tooth. I was referred to Dr. Wolter by my best friend and long-time patient of his. I was nervous that it would be impossible to blend the actual repair, but also match the color with my natural tooth and old repair.... Alas, it really was an EXCELLENT COLOR MATCH and was executed in away that makes my two front teeth look way more rounded and symmetrical than before. I am so so happy with my smile now. Everyone was also very warm and nice when I came in, which put me at ease in a high-stress situation. I had a work presentation to do after and a concert with my friends that I was going to just cancel if I couldn't fix my tooth - they were able to squeeze me in very last minute and I was seriously in and out of there so fast. Dr. Wolter is hands down the best dentist I have ever been to. I have lived in 4 different countries, visited countless dentists and always had issues with my teeth. When I visited his practice I left wondering when I would start feeling pain but I felt none WHATSOEVER. Normally, when they apply the anesthetic I feel something, but with him no pain at all. Millennium Dental Arts and Dr. Dan are so far beyond the norm where dental office visit expectations are concerned that it motivated me to write this review. As a professional entertainer I am constantly traveling. Some time ago I made a friend in Phoenix who told me about Dr. Dan. At the time I was in desperate need of some very serious dental work. Including full upper cosmetic and some serious re-working of my lower teeth, as my bite was way out of alignment. I was extremely hesitant to initiate the process because like so many others I've had some pretty traumatic experiences with dentists in my past. Knowing that I couldn't put it off any longer and armed with the adamant reassurances of my friend I decided to make the call. The first thing I noticed when I was signing in was a book with Dr. Dan on the cover. I discovered that my soon-to-be dentist was a best-selling author that wrote books to help other dentists improve their skills. This was a good sign! The staff was extremely warm and friendly which went a long way toward putting me at ease. When I was called back and met Dr. Dan I found him to be very comfortable and easy going. I never once had the feeling that I was a walking wallet on a conveyor belt. After a thorough examination he went over the specifics of my condition in very clear and easy-to-understand terms. He actually gave me a number of options with regards to the course of my treatment which really surprised me because I came in with the impression that my options were so limited. In this process I also discovered that the debilitating migraines I'd been suffering for years were most likely due to the fact that I was clenching and grinding my teeth in my sleep.
