Workers would arrive at random times on random days with no set schedule or notice. They also showed very little care for the tenants' homes. Due to the lack of cleanup, I ended up with two separate roofing nails in my tires. At one point, the workers nearly fell through my roof, leaving a large crack that they are now refusing to repair. Multiple items in my home were also damaged because of the excessive stomping and noise coming from the roof during the work. In fact, we ended up having two bathrooms remodeled by Ixtapa during the pandemic. They possess a wealth of knowledge about the construction/remodeling business and took time to review options, whether for room layout, glass shower doors, sink cabinets, tile installation or shower drains. In the primary bathroom, they removed a wall and relocated the toilet, the shower and the tub, which entailed relocating plumbing works and electrical wiring, moving hvac duct work, and installing hardy backer panels and drywall. For good measure, they replaced some of our old windows and added a few new ones, put in heating for the tiled floors, and installed a pocket door in the new bathroom entrance. The second bathroom was easier as it 'only' required fixture updates, new flooring and tilework. Their workmanship remained high quality throughout both projects, and was particularly evident in the complex tile worked they performed in both bathrooms.
