Having served on the HOA Board of my association for 4 years, I can attest that it takes dedicated board members working closely with the property management company and their representatives. During my time on the Board, we were able to identify and complete several projects for our association. This was done through diligent review, discussion, and taking a realistic approach taking account our finances and environment. This was all done with the participation of our property management team of Shannon Thornhill and Johanna Melendez. What I appreciated was that our property manager partners were frank and straightforward in their discussions with our Board. By providing feedback and recommendations based on their experience our Board was able to make better and sound decisions on behalf of our community. read more

Millennium Community Management has been wonderful to work with. Johanna and Shannon, the property managers, are both very knowledgeable and very attentive to urgent manners. They really do care about helping their associations be the best they can be. read more

As a Board Member, I have had the opportunity to work closely with Shannon and Johanna over the past six years, and I can honestly say that they have provided our community with excellent service and support. During these six years, we have accomplished a tremendous amount of work and completed many important projects for our 416-unit condominium community. Compared with our previous management, we have made significant progress and have been able to get the community back on track. Shannon and Johanna has been instrumental in helping the Board navigate the many responsibilities that come with managing a large condominium community. They are professional, responsive, knowledgeable, and committed to getting things done. Managing a 416-condo community comes with many challenges, and having a management team that is willing to communicate, follow through, and work alongside the Board makes a tremendous difference. After six years of working with Shannon and Johanna, I truly appreciate everything they have done for our community and the progress we have made together. In my opinion, their dedication and hard work have played an important role in moving our community forward. read more

I am so grateful to have Millennium as our management company. Being on the HOA board I have to say we have had a few management companies and by far this company has been the best... Thank you Johanna for being our go to person for all of our issues that we have had during the time you have been our management company... Thank you JOETTA GINN read more

Every property has its own unique challenges, and not all property management companies are equipped to handle them. I learned that firsthand when I moved into a community facing serious financial issues and millions of dollars in deferred maintenance. The situation had become so severe that the city was involved. Our management company at the time simply wasn't equipped to deal with the complexity of the problems, so they walked away. We scrambled to find a new management company that could help stabilize the community, clean up our financial records, secure funding, and oversee millions of dollars in much-needed repairs. Millennium was one of the companies we interviewed. I personally wanted to hire them, but the rest of the board chose another company, and I was outvoted. Unfortunately, within a year it became clear that the company we selected had overpromised and underdelivered. We ultimately terminated their contract, but they left us in even worse shape than when they started. I reached back out to Shannon Thornhill at Millennium and asked if they would reconsider taking us on as a client. Despite the significant challenges--and a difficult transition made even harder by our previous management company--they agreed. From day one, Shannon and the Millennium team brought the knowledge, professionalism, and experience we desperately needed. It wasn't an overnight turnaround, but they methodically helped get our community back on track. They organized our financial records, guided us through an emergency special assessment, and successfully managed a $5 million renovation project. Along the way, we rebuilt our reserve funds, improved our vendor relationships, and saw our property values increase by more than 50%. I highly recommend Millennium and Shannon Thornhill. If your community wants a management company that is experienced, capable, and willing to tackle difficult challenges, Millennium is an outstanding choice. read more

Destinee is top-notch! Every time I had concerns regarding my community she took care of the matter exponentially! I always enjoy communicating with her and she does her best to keep the homeowners satisfied, within her range. read more

Serving on our HOA Board has given me a different perspective on what it takes to manage a large community. It's easy to assume every issue falls on either the Board or the management company, but lasting results require a strong partnership, an engaged Board, and sound decisions within the CC&Rs and budget. Over the past several years, our management company has helped the Board complete significant projects, including repainting the entire community, recoating decks, major street rehabilitation and restriping, replacing and replastering both pools and spas, utility door replacement, ongoing wood repairs and replacement, tree reforestation, and annual jetting of the community drain system. They have also supported the Board in addressing homeowner compliance issues. Responsive communication/ a more customer-focused approach when interacting with homeowners is an area of opportunity. That said, I believe a management company should be judged not only by individual interactions but also by its ability to help a community accomplish important work. Our community has made substantial progress over the years, and the management company has been an important partner in those efforts. They deserve credit for helping the Board, particularly Shannon Thornhill and Johanna Melendez, achieve these long-term improvements. read more

Amazing people work for this company. I can't say enough good things about the managers and how hard they work and how well they manage their associations. Shannon, Johanna, Destinee, all the girls in the office. And Ashley is always a joy to talk to you. Would recommend this company for your HOA management. read more

We are first time owners of our condo. When we purchased our condo, the first management company was not friendly or helpful at all. The second company literally let our complex fall into disarray and complete mismanagement. The moment Johanna and Shannon (Millenium) took over, we immediately saw their impact for the better. Our roof was leaking and falling apart and they quickly got it patched and initiated the re-roofing process. Our budget and community as a whole was falling apart, and they brought the community together to fix and rebuild our homes. Johanna in particular has been kind, responsive, and someone I deeply trust. We still have a long way to go to fix our community, but I am confident with Millenium's guidance we will become a stable and healthy community. Thank you Johanna for all of your hard work. We appreciate you more than you know. read more

Wow! What a difference it makes when you have a professional managing your HOA. We now have a new team at MCM taking care of our community, and the difference is night and day from our former rep at the company. The new team is much more service oriented and keeps us informed about what's going on. I hope they keep up the great work. read more

I've had the pleasure of working with this office for the last 5 years as a vendor, and I have nothing but positive things to say about the staff. Shannon runs a tight ship, and keeps her team on task throughout a their busy week. Johannas attention to detail and genuine care for her communities is like nothing I've seen before. I've been to board meetings at both of their communities and the boards have nothing but nice things to say about these managers. Whether I'm calling in or dropping by the office to check up on estimates, Ashley and Des are always on top of everything and efficiently get me the answers and updates I'm seeking. This office is second to none and most communities would be blessed to be managed by them! read more

Millennium Management. Wow, what a difference a management company makes. In the 24 years I have lived in our HOA we had gone through 3 different companies (2 of them twice) before landing with Millennium Management. The difference is night and day. So much more professional and still very personable too. Michelle is top notch as is the rest of the team. Fast to respond to emails and homeowner issues. Our transition has gone smoothly which is a first also. I've been on the board for many years and the sitting president for 2 years. I've dealt with it all. I would highly recommend them. read more

Our community has been working with MILLENIUM COMMUNITY MANAGEMENT as our HOA management company and Michelle Lopez, the COO has been exceptional as well as instrumental with positive changes to the community that we are making and will continue to do so in the future. Response times for homeowner inquiries are almost always same-day, and our monthly financial reporting is clear and transparent. I highly recommend any neighborhood looking for organized management. read more

We have lived in a HOA community for the past 25 years and have gone through several property management companies. Our HOA board recently hired Millennium Community Management to become our new management company. As soon as they took over they contacted the homeowners with information about their company and the services they provide. They also sent out a notification of the people who would be involved with our association with names, phone numbers and email addresses. What really impressed me was we had just had our July HOA meeting and our manager sent out a letter to the homeowners with a pretty detailed minutes of the meeting. In my 25 years of living here I have never experienced a management company providing this kind of service and information to us. I could tell this is a management company that truly believes in service to their clients. read more

MCM is our community management in Aliso Viejo and they are subpar. I have to consistently follow up with Johanna Melendez to get a response. I understand they might manage quite a few properties, but to go a week without responding or giving an update is frustrating. Maybe they need to hire more staff or have better management skills. Either way, I would look somewhere else before considering them for your community. read more

Shannon Thornhill is the best HOA manager I have ever worked with. I have been managing my dads 5 investment properties for 14 years and in that time I have interacted with many HOA managers. And none like Shannon. She treats people the way she wants to be treated, with respect. Also, she responds quickly to emails/voicemails and that is unheard of in this industry! Imagine a HOA manager that actually cares about the community she manages! Its so refreshing! read more

I want to start off saying that we are homeowners in Palm Springs and this is our management company for our HOA. Yes we are NOT RENTING we ARE HOMEOWNERS. Two pools in the complex is part of the reason we live here Please see my attached picture from Palm Springs City Council. It clearly states that private pools with HOA'S & apartments can be open. Millenium Community Management is violating this by changing the locks and keeping our pools closed. They are LYING to us and our neighbors here (PALERMO, PALM SPRINGS). It is over 107f we have a right to use a pool, especially when over 50% houses are 2nd homer's. That leaves maybe 20 houses to use two pools (maybe less). I will be attending the next meeting and suggesting a new management company to our board. You have no right to close are pools after it has been announced we can use read more

Millenium Community Management, LLC - Property Management Near Me - Santa Ana, California

In 2023, our Association was assigned three different MCM property managers, which isn't reasonable for continuity and effectiveness. At one point, Kim Hansele, the owner, assumed the role as our property manager. She NEVER once returned our phone calls and NEVER answered correspondence. The newly assigned property manager does NOT communicate either. It is our experience that MCM is skilled at disrespecting owners, not returning calls, not answering correspondence and notoriously over promises and under delivers. read more

emailed to management at MCM: I want to let you know that I've had a few interactions with Maria Fierro - like 2 or 3 interactions, very few. And I find her to be very unpleasant. I find her to be rude and unhelpful. I have only called about very minor things - such as my gate code not working and now about being able to pick up the transponder. My and my landlord have already emailed the lease agreement, he emailed his authorization for me to pick up the transponder. What else is needed? I called to find out the status of the transponder request and Maria practically hung up on me and then Sandra said, " I have to go because it is lunch time". This is horrible customer service and I hope you will address it. Let's see if they do anything about. Somehow, my hopes are not very high. read more

Absolute worst HOA management company and crooked as crooked can be. Shady, shady, liars on the take with their uncapable contractors. Not even a hint of being problem solvers, but rather problem starters. TOTAL SHAM!! Run fast. read more

Big money spenders . Many unnecessary improvements from companies we never heard of. Difficulty speaking to corporate office

Inconsiderate, condescending and unprofessional. You should never write in an email that tells an individual "your husband should park your car for you in the garage if you have trouble seeing at night." Try picking up the phone and having a conversation. Recognize your violation of ADA rights and your Selective Enforcement of parking. Can't believe people pay the amount they do in HOA fees to support your passive aggressive operation. read more

Assigned property manager for cathedral canyon country club. Not a problem solver or advocate for residents. Just collects fees. Sad

This company DOES NOT deserve any star if there's an option. Do not hire this shady company. The staff are VERY unprofessional, unresponsive and unreasonable, and it starts right from the top, particularly owner/President Kim Hansele, Shannon Thornhill and Marcos Cruz. They tend to use bully tactics to intimidate the homeowners. Shannon is very condescending and disrespectful. They do not follow up on the community or homeowners' needs and just create excuses all the time. They just get your contract and do nothing!!! MOVE ON AND DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR HOA FUNDS TO GET LOWER WHILE THEIR POCKETS GET FATTER!!! read more

Good service is hard to find it seems. We worked with Oana Mitchell in May, 2012. She was difficult to deal with and acted like we were asking for unreasonable service. Here's what I remember: They were sending mail to us (about requiring our trees be trimmed) to the wrong address even though in 2011 we had changed our contact info (address & phone) and we were getting the HOA bills. They didn't call us. They finally sent a certified mail threatening some kind of legal action. They want to charge us $70 for a copy of the CC&R's. This made us upset. We inherited the condo, so these documents were not provided through escrow as normal protocol. They finally understood that and begrudgingly agreed to provide the document. But now, after like 15 emails back and forth, they still have NOT provided a copy of the CC&R's. We pay $350 per month for our condo in Brea Somerset, and would expect better customer service. They work for us after all. They should consider posting the CC&R'S on a password login section of their web site. This would allow for the latest version to be readily available, searchable, and even save paper. Come on folks, it's the 21st century. We can do better. read more

As a tenant of a business office building managed by this company, I confirm the previous Yelp commenter's experience. If you are considering this company to manage your building and you desire a good relationship with your clients, aka tenants, I suggest moving on tho another provider. Our experience working with this company started when we leased an office from a director owner of one of the units. The owner's manager did not have bathroom keys for the building. In our attempts to secure the keys from the management company they ignored us. Then when we did some detective work to find out how to buy signs to match the building's decor and contacted the sign company, the management company paid attention. At that point they wanted to enforce the $85 per hour fees to put the sign on the door, a process that includes sticking the plastic sign on with double stick tape. We knew the process due to the remnants of double sided tape left from the last sign. This is just part of the building's process and regulations you may think. However, as the previous poster mentioned, it is the complete disregard for customer service that really upset me. The manager believed she was doing us a "favor" to bring us bathroom keys. The manager was rude on emails and claimed we were not her client. While we did not choose to hire Millenium and are forced to work with this company, we are her client. We pay the rent for the space and from those rents the owner pays their fee. Our lease will be coming for renewal soon. I am seriously thinking of looking elsewhere as many office spaces are available these days. Again, if you would like to have an office building with paying business clients I suggest you might want to find a management company that understands the value of customer service and treats your clients as you would. This is NOT Millenium. read more

I've owned 2 buildings in a community managed by this company for over 10 years. The Reps are unresponsive to me as an owner, they do very little management work. The previous manager was consistently late to every meeting. For 90% of the meetings everyone was waiting for the rep to arrive. The Reps offer no real guidance to the association. The only reason the board continues to work with this company is probably so they can control everything that happens without being advised against their decisions. That structure creates liability for the homeowners and the association. It's very frustrating to have investment properties in a community with such poor management. read more

They've been managing our association for several months and they have yet to post any association documents to the community page. They also are not providing or posting association meeting minutes or budgets to homeowners. They seem to be complicit to the mismanagement of the association. I don't know what we're paying them, but I don't think we're getting our moneys worth. read more

Worst service ever! I have been working with Oana Mitchell and she is just plain rude. I am new to Summerset Brea and have found her to be less than accomodating. I needed to get information that is NOT addressed in the CC&Rs. But her biggest concern was that everything is addressed in the CC&Rs, which is not true. There are exceptions to everything and this is one. She was very rude in her emails. So sorry to bother her, but I am new and have not made the association meeting yet and there are things in everyone's lives that can't wait until a once a month meeting. I would not know a board member if I ran into them. Oana, as it seems to me, she should not be working in her position and her position is not needed. read more

I live in a property managed by Millennium. I also do a lot of work installing high speed internet, phone and video services all across Southern California. Without exaggeration I have dealt with over 50 different property managers over the last 3 years. Oana Mitchell is, by far, the most intelligent and professional property manager I have ever dealt with. Her responses are prompt and straight forward. She seems to be accessible any time of the day. She is helpful and addresses the issues quickly and efficiently. Not only have I had the pleasure of working with her but I am lucky she manages the property I live in. read more

Oana Mitchell - is rude, can't professionally communicate and I could hardly understand her.

Re Tim T's comment about an $85/hour charge for sticking a name plate w/double-sided tape on a door, this Nazi-esque group of greedy control freaks charge a whopping $1,000 to new homebuyers to their communities for simply providing the state-law mandated copy of the community CC&Rs!!! Talk about extortion: if the homeowner refuses to pay it, they don't close escrow. It takes about 10 minutes to print out, and costs about $5 in copy paper. So Millennium casts a pall of resentment over the relationship from the get-go. read more

My condo is under Millennium Community Management. The builder put in faulty pipes and my condo had several leaks. MCM went to bat for us and sued the builder to get our piping redone. Not only that went the water leaks ruined my wood flooring they worked to get my flooring replaced. No hassles only solid support from the Manager, Kim.
