BEST DELI IN JERSEY I've been coming here for over 6 years now! I first came to this place when I was in high school and to this day, the sandwiches and their quality have always been ON POINT. I really cant express the obsession I have with the griller 8. My entire family is in love with them as well! Not to mention, that their employees have the best customer service I have ever experienced! They are usually always very happy and dancing to the radio when I've come in and if they don't have my sandwich they try to make it with a different bread and it still slaps lol! The place is very busy - Ordered ahead of time for pick up at 4:45pm, which I still had to wait for once I got there. It was ready at 5:15pm. 4.5 stars! I think this deli is rated as one of the top 3 delis in the whole state of NJ and it 100% lives up to the hype. Today I ordered the Gobbler (roasted Turkey, cranberry, stuffing, mayo, and lettuce on rye bread), which I think is one of their more well known sandwiches - they even honked a horn, rang a bell, and yelled upon hearing my order lol. Not a fan of the lettuce on the gobbler, it seemed unnecessary to me. My friend got the Jay Ray (chicken cutlet, cheddar cheese, bacon, and bbq sauce). I thoroughly appreciate that they add a pickle with every sandwich, but wrap it separately in the wax paper so that the pickle juice/flavor does not get on your sandwich. Also tried their pasta salad which was decent, nothing out of this world. They are definitely more known for their unique sandwiches. Overall, so delicious!! read more

This place has really fallen off. I ordered two meat double meat sub and it came with regular meat. Also why are the subs 6inches? $14 for a 6 inch sub is ridiculous. Oh my gosh if you haven't been here you need to go they have the best breakfast sandwiches. I love him, Megan cheese, and then for lunch the sloppy Joe's they have so many different variations. Everything is always fresh. The place is always packed with a line out the door get there early because you definitely will wait sometimes better to call in your order and just do a pick up. The deli is tradition, whether it's a ritual you have with your sports team, Senior lunch or meeting up with people after the 10 year high school reunion this place is the essence of Millburn. The average sandwich will run you about $7, but it's worth it. After growing up in Millburn my whole life I still don't have "my" sandwich, and am always trying new ones. But you pay for what you get and you deal with what you have to for great food. I was able to order online and pick up easily (during the pandemic). I ordered 4 sandwiches (pastrami sloppy joe, Smokey the bear, the gobbler, and the charlie) as well as 4 iced teas. My family usually shares food but we decided we wanted to pick our own sandwiches. Finally tried this place for the first time today and I was not impressed. I got "the gobbler" which looked to be a fairly substantial sandwich but unfortunately the bread was so soggy and sticky it ruined the whole experience. I opened the sandwich within 10 mins of picking it up and I ordered it fresh in store so it's not like I left it sitting to get soggy. Each slice was literally falling apart when I held it and every bite soggy bread stuck to your teeth. Boo. A shame, however at $14 for a sandwich I won't be giving it another try. read more

Their sandwiches are 2nd to none! And their homemade iced tea is the best iced tea I've had and I only drink iced tea when I go out so I've had a lot!
