First, I do rely on Yelp's user reviews for guidance. To Jay Millas's credit, his customers speak well of him here so, that prompted my call. My furnace stopped working last Saturday. I really wasn't looking forward to contacting anyone for service on a weekend. Jay handled my call very fairly and professionally. He got me up and running and scheduled a tune up for a weekday. He was prompt, explained what was required and why. He and his helper performed a tune up and replaced a faulty draft regulator. His work was clean, without wasted motion and the charges itemized and seemed reasonable. I recommend you contact Millas Heating and Cooling for service if you want a similar experience. When I moved back to the area, I contacted Millas Heating & Cooling for furnace cleaning, which they have done twice now, and they were very good. Then I was concerned about a sound the furnace was making and scheduled an appointment but had to reschedule twice due to illness, and I have been calling back and leaving messages periodically for about 5 months and have received no call back. I even left a message that said if I had offended them in some way or if they don't want me as a customer at least let me know and still I have received no call back. When our furnace stopped working, Jay Millas was able to get to our house the same day and save us from several cold winter days over the weekend. Jay fixed our aging furnace a couple more times-always coming promptly and fixing the problem. He explained the problem and the prices were very reasonable. When it came time to replace our aging system with a heat pump/air conditioner and furnace system, Jay Millas was the person we choose. I should have written this review last summer when I first used them, but after using this company a second time, I am absolutely convinced I should definitely write this review. I called this company after another heating and cooling company had grossly failed to repair my ac last summer and then yelled at me after I complained! Millas Heating and Cooling was EXTREMELY PROFESSIONAL in their consult, diagnosis, workmanship and billing. They were very transparent, friendly, and explained everything in detail. This past winter I had a problem with my heat. I called them first thing in the morning around 6:30am. Around 7:30am (or earlier), my call was returned and an appointment was scheduled for the same day. My heat was working again (temporarily) the same day before noon. The owner ordered the part needed for a permanent fix after explaining everything in detail to me over the phone. The temporary fix worked very well until the part was replaced permanently. I received a detailed invoice in the mail a week after the work was done. I am floored by the superior quality workmanship and customer service provided by this company. On Thursday, October 26th we called Millas to schedule a maintenance visit to our facility. 'Jen' explained to my admin assistant that they were very busy and that they couldn't get to us until November 17th. We agreed to wait as the weather was not that cold yet. My admin assistant asked 'Jen' to give us a call should someone cancel. A couple of hours later my admin assistant called 'Jen' to let her know that the heat had failed and this was now a service call. 'Jen' stated she would take my name and desk and cell phone numbers and if she had anyone in the area between October 26th and November 17th she would have them stop by to try and get the HVAC running's. Well, November 17th came and went. I had a guy sitting here in overhead waiting for Millas to arrive until 4:30pm. The temperature in the building has been sitting at 52 degrees. Monday, November 20th my admin assistant called Millas and a gentlemen answered the phone. When she explained what was going on, the guy stated they had no appointment scheduled. When my assistant asked to speak to 'Jen' she was already there on speaker phone. 'Jen asked what was the name, we provided the company name and location, and 'Jen' stated she would have never taken a commercial call for service. Hard to figure out on our end how we got her name, information, 'scheduled' appointment, and subsequent service call request if we never called them and spoke to 'Jen'. Jay was knowledgeable about the types of systems we would need and paid close attention to the styles and placements of our units.
