I called this afternoon after trying to trouble shoot why I had no heat. My usual person had a family emergency. I was panicked because my bedroom.temperature got.down to 49 degrees last night and this weekend is supposed.to be the coldest of the winter. When I explained I would.take the day off if.I had to, I was told.they could.come after hours so that I would not have to miss work My tech came promptly and efficiently solved my problem..I was also.shocked that the price for parts, labor, and replacement were so reasonable. I am.beyond grateful. Thank you so much. read more

Owner John Fletcher, Very disappointing service. The original problem was never resolved, and despite multiple attempts to follow up, 10 phone calls regarding the service request were never returned. Poor communication and unacceptable customer service. I understand that delays can happen, but there is no excuse for a lack of communication with a customer who is simply trying to get a service issue resolved that I had ALREADY PAID FOR!! Unfortunately, based on the poor follow-up and customer service I received, I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. James White read more

Service requested many times with no answer. Needed same work multiple times. Not professional.

Very unreliable. I've had issues with them showing up when they said they would, twice now, most recently yesterday. I explained the problem to the owner friday (no hot water), and he ssid he couldnt come then, but would be there the following morning with the part to fix it. Never showed, called, or texted, knowing I had no hot water. They are useless, and I won't be using them again. read more

It is widely known that first impressions mean the most. The lady who answered the phone was less than happy at her job and it showed. I hope their service people are happy doing their jobs or we, as customers will be the unhappy ones in the end. When people smile and are eager to talk to you and eager to earn your business, it is reflected in the tone of their voice. This did not leave an impression of confidence and good customer service to come. read more

John is honest, reasonable, professional, knowledgeable and holds those same high standards to his employees. The attention to detail and the quality of workmanship is bar none, the finest. The installation is a work of art, using craftsmanship and the finest components available. I am blown away by Johns prowess in the field. This review should have been written months ago. Thank You John. read more

Being a first time home owner I needed a plumber. A friend recommended John Fletcher. So glad for the recommendation. He has been honest. Any of his guys that have come have been great to deal with. Having air conditioning problems, John returned my phone call within 45 minutes and had guys over within an hour. I can't say enough about this company. read more

Outstanding service! We contracted with John to install an oil fired burner and indirect water tank. He was very prompt with his call back, accommodating to our schedule and could not have been more professional. The installation is very clean, evident is the craftsmanship and pride he takes ensuring a one who comes across his work is impressed. Soldered joints are clean, the design/ layout is perfect. He also designed proactively, for example he installed extra shutoff ball valves on both sides of circulation pumps ( this will make future repairs very easy - and less costly). Most firms don't think to do that.... I highly recommend the Fletcher team, as they exceeded my expectation and delivered more than promised. Additionally, John returned every call promptly, we texted frequently, he is a small operation, should you want a full service mega corporate oil service with fully staffed call center and wish to pay for that - there are many alternatives. But if you want to deal with the person who respects his customers and takes pride in his work.... call Fletcher! JJD -Westerly read more

Gee whiz...these guys were great. I needed a new oil-fired boiler and domestic hot water system for 4-5 years, but I didn't know who was good and who I could trust. My existing system was twenty-four (24) years old and I got sick of working on it myself. A new system was definitely required. I did some research and short-listed Fletcher Heating. Fletcher was initially recommended by my pharmacist here in Westerly. Then I contacted an old friend living in Pawcatuck, CT who worked 8-9 years installing and servicing heating systems. He endorsed Fletcher Heating also. I called the owner (John Fletcher) and scheduled an appointment for an estimate. I had a cost figure in mind (engineering is my profession). John arrived exactly on time and we looked at my existing heating system. I received an oral fixed price, not an estimate. The fixed price was $500 above my estimated price, but this was good enough for me. Recommended material and system components met by expectations. I awarded the job to Fletcher Heating on the spot. I sent Fletcher a decent down payment several days later for them to buy materials and to prove my sincerity. Installation day...arrived at exactly 8 AM with a crew of five. New Buderus boiler and HTP indirect water heater lifted carefully into my basement. The existing system was demolished and set aside. The new boiler and water heater were installed by the end of the day. Most of the piping and boiler trim package were also completed. I didn't bother the crew much, but I did request that the indirect water heater be repositioned so I could better access the chase where the Class A chimney was installed. No complaints from the crew. Day 2...three days later. A team of three (two Masters, one Journeyman) returned to finish the piping, fill and pressure test the system and install the controls. I activated all three heating zones and the system responded as expected. The newer technology...using individual recirculation pumps rather than individual control valves definitely improved house heating rate. I made progress payments to Fletcher Heating...initial down payment to get the work started, another payment at the end of Day 1 and the final payment on Day 2. It wasn't required, but this is how I operate and Fletcher Heating definitely deserved to be paid quickly. Their work and professionalism deserved nothing less. My observations...Fletcher Heating is very, very busy. The work performed was essentially completed on a "hand shake deal." I formalized the proposed work in a letter and Scope of Services document just to define the terms, conditions and agreed upon cost before the project started. My summary...excellent product selection, quality workmanship and very reasonable price. Definitely consider Fletcher Heating for your new boiler installation. read more

Technicians came out to my house and turned all of the breakers off (both upstairs and downstairs when the issue is only for upstairs). 'Why the heck they will turn the breaks off downstairs when they were called to address the issue upstairs.' They couldn't fix the issue and left without turning the breakers back on. I called their office and they told us to turn the breakers back on. We turned the breaker back on downstairs, and now they are saying, when we turned on the break we blow the compressor. They take no responsibility for their actions. Their technicians are incompetent. I will never recommend anyone to this company. read more

John Fletcher is an arrogant crook. I have unfortunately only found out from numerous sources after we used his services and were "mistakenly" charged emergency weekend rates, after which he agreed it was a mistake and said he would bring us our refund and the grates that were paid for and never delivered. He now refuses to take our calls (approx. 20) to business and cell phones. We are headed to small claims court (and have found a number of friends/co-workers who have had problems with him). STEER CLEAR OF FLETCHER HEATING! read more

Hack & Whack- waiting 3 months for a phone call/text reply. Was supposed to come to my house either 9/9/16 or 9/16/16 to clean my boiler when I called 9/1/16. Haven't heard from him since. Although he was more than eager to get my business last year when I replaced my boiler. Left a nice hole in the wall he was supposed to come back to repair & never did. In my opinion I would look elsewhere. He was great upfront then just left me hanging once he got paid. Very poor business practice. I should call National Grid/RISE engineering to get him barred from their program. read more

We wanted a replacement steam boiler. Took 3 phone messages to get a call back. After several excuses, he finally showed up, took the information, and promised a quote. Didn't call back for 3 weeks. After waiting 3 weeks, left 5 messages on machine. No call backs. Finally gave up in disgust and gave the $15000.00 project to GEM. They are the best and really responsive. read more
