THE BEST INDIAN FOOD IN DENVER!!! Discovered this amazing truck at Denver Food & Wine 2024 for the Shake and Brake cook-off! Their Chicken Nacos are LEGENDARY! Don't forget garlic fries

HOT DAMN! I think I'm in love. I see you, Mile High Tikka Express. ++ Rarely does a new to the scene food truck knock it out of the park - but Mile High Tikka Express did. ++ Rarely does a first visit to a food truck leave me stalking their calendar - but Mile High Tikka Express did. ++ Rarely do I get nervous my husband will like their recipes better than ours - but Mile High Tikka Express did. ++ Rarely do I consider ordering again to take a little home for later - but I definitely did. ++ Rarely do we plan our next meal from a business - but we absolutely did! After seeing a new to the scene food truck listed at Launch Pad Brewery this past Friday, my husband and I decided to give it a shot. So we headed to Aurora for a little brewery date night, and boy am I glad we did! We noshed on a Butter Chicken Sandwich for him, the Chicken Tikka Nacos for me, and an order of Samosas to share. Everything was positively delicious and full of flavor. Let me tell you about the most unique item on the menu - the nacos. A naco is their clever take on tacos, but with an Indian twist. They take a small round of naan bread and top it with your choice of chicken tikka, paneer tikka, or grilled shrimp. Holy yum! As I said before, I opted for the Chicken Nacos, and they were bursting with flavor. My husband chose the Butter Chicken Sandwich. It was generous in size, full of flavor, and served up on a perfectly crusty piece of french bread. I was eager to steal a taste, but he wasn't willing to share. Haha! The fries it was served up with were a little lack luster, in my opinion, but they weren't the star of the show so that's okay. The order of samosas came as a pair. The filling seemed to be a spiced potato mixture. They were fried perfectly and served with a green chutney sauce. Mile High Tikka Express was definitely a delicious way to get out of cooking dinner on a Friday night. Can't wait to sample some more!

So friendly. So tasty. So quick. The whole menu rocks. Me and my girlfriend split the butter chicken and the butter paneer every time we go.

We did a quick spin through the next traffic circle and headed right back to A Bit O'Boston. Sho'nuff, that menu had the Fried Clams, Clam Chowdah and MORE. Lobster Cakes! Lobster Rolls! Authentic Boston Baked Beans! The best Potato Salad I've had this side of a southern church picnic. Old Bay seasoning on the condiment table. This joint is authentic. We got one "Back Bay"(Clam Strips with a side, he chose fries) and one Lobster Cakes with a side (Baked Beans for me) and we HAD to sample the potato salad after seeing the person before us dig into theirs. Very glad we did. It was outstanding. As was everything! The clam strips were more like clam clusters, and appeared to be hand breaded. Light and not greasy at all, definitely had some Old Bay in that batter! The Lobster Cakes were, wait for it, FILLED WITH LOBSTER. (See the photo. You won't believe it.). These are fry-bread type fritters, filled with huge chunks of lobster and cheese and deep fried. Absolute heaven. The baked beans were filled with bacon and the flavor of the love that went into making these traditional favorite. Karen, the owner, is the real deal. A nor'easter to the bone, and she loves enlightening the uninitiated to the ways of Boston, whether it's her wicked awesome food, her New England Patriots paraphernalia (You'll forgive her quickly once you taste her food), or her super friendly nature. Get in there now, y'all. This place is about to be HUGE.

That's what you expect when you're paying barbecue prices. Sadly, none of that showed up here. The brisket and burnt ends were the biggest disappointment. Instead of having that dark bark and beautiful smoke ring you expect from meat that's been smoked low and slow, everything looked gray and lifeless. There was no smoke flavor, no seasoning, and worst of all, the meat was dry. Not slightly dry, but the kind where you need sauce just to get it down. Burnt ends are usually the highlight of a barbecue meal, crispy outside with juicy, tender meat inside. These were just dry chunks with no caramelization or flavor payoff. The sausage didn't help things either. Overall, nothing about the meal felt homemade or smoked. It felt mass produced and rushed, missing the flavor and texture that make barbecue special in the first place. What made the experience even worse is the price. Spending around $40 on a pound of meat, expecting quality barbecue, and getting dry, bland food instead. For that price, you expect memorable barbecue, not something you regret ordering halfway through the meal. The food was so disappointing that I ended up throwing most of it away and going somewhere else afterward just to get a decent meal. That's something I almost never do, especially after paying premium prices.
