We were headed the other direction on Golden Road when this adorable Boston Themed Food Truck…read morecaught my eye. How could it not!! Immediately, I thought "Clam Chowdah" and "Fried Clams!" We did a quick spin through the next traffic circle and headed right back to A Bit O'Boston. Sho'nuff, that menu had the Fried Clams, Clam Chowdah and MORE. Lobster Cakes! Lobster Rolls! Authentic Boston Baked Beans! The best Potato Salad I've had this side of a southern church picnic. Old Bay seasoning on the condiment table. This joint is authentic. We got one "Back Bay"(Clam Strips with a side, he chose fries) and one Lobster Cakes with a side (Baked Beans for me) and we HAD to sample the potato salad after seeing the person before us dig into theirs. Very glad we did. It was outstanding. As was everything! The clam strips were more like clam clusters, and appeared to be hand breaded. Light and not greasy at all, definitely had some Old Bay in that batter! The Lobster Cakes were, wait for it, FILLED WITH LOBSTER. (See the photo. You won't believe it.). These are fry-bread type fritters, filled with huge chunks of lobster and cheese and deep fried. Absolute heaven. The baked beans were filled with bacon and the flavor of the love that went into making these traditional favorite. Karen, the owner, is the real deal. A nor'easter to the bone, and she loves enlightening the uninitiated to the ways of Boston, whether it's her wicked awesome food, her New England Patriots paraphernalia (You'll forgive her quickly once you taste her food), or her super friendly nature. Get in there now, y'all. This place is about to be HUGE.

Fresh and delicious Lobster roll with freshly fried potato wedges! Great service too!read more

We were at the Cherry Creek Arts Festival and stumbled on the food truck and talked to Chef Charlie for a minute about what plates they were presenting. After he mentioned the Chicken Tikka Na-cos (basically tacos with Naan filled with chicken tikka) we had to try them. They were packed with flavor and delicious. The naan was so soft and felt pillowy holding the flavor bomb. We need to find the truck again to try more items Chef Charlie has created.

My favorites are their naan tacos and their butter chicken sandwich. If you've never had Indian food before, also a perfect type of food to try to dip your toes in a little. Their tikka platters come with a protein, salad and grilled onions/peppers on a bed of lettuce and an incredible sauce. I got the shrimp one and it came with 6 jumbo shrimps cookies perfectly and well seasoned. Their fries are thin and well seasoned as well. They post their schedule far in advance on their website so you can easily plan a visit!

The service is fast and impeccable, the food is delicious and filling, and we highly recommend this establishment at Dry Creek and University ... near the ARC. That's what you expect when you're paying barbecue prices. Sadly, none of that showed up here. The brisket and burnt ends were the biggest disappointment. Instead of having that dark bark and beautiful smoke ring you expect from meat that's been smoked low and slow, everything looked gray and lifeless. There was no smoke flavor, no seasoning, and worst of all, the meat was dry. Not slightly dry, but the kind where you need sauce just to get it down. Burnt ends are usually the highlight of a barbecue meal, crispy outside with juicy, tender meat inside. These were just dry chunks with no caramelization or flavor payoff. The sausage didn't help things either. Overall, nothing about the meal felt homemade or smoked. It felt mass produced and rushed, missing the flavor and texture that make barbecue special in the first place. What made the experience even worse is the price. Spending around $40 on a pound of meat, expecting quality barbecue, and getting dry, bland food instead. For that price, you expect memorable barbecue, not something you regret ordering halfway through the meal. The food was so disappointing that I ended up throwing most of it away and going somewhere else afterward just to get a decent meal. That's something I almost never do, especially after paying premium prices.
