Delicious with some ketchup, salt and pepper. The Philly however lacked flavor. Especially for one that had onions, bell peppers, chilies and cream cheese on it. That is all you tasted. The meat really didn't have any flavor and they were giant slices. Typically a Philly has more diced up small pieces of meat. In this case, they were like stripes. I think if the meat had more seasoning and chopped up more this could have been a way better sandwich. The bread was fresh and soft. It complimented the sammie well. After tax, the total would have been $21 for a single meal. That is difficult to justify for what is still considered fast food. For a family of four, especially if the kids wanted shakes, the total could easily reach or exceed $100. That is simply outside the budget of many average families. Unfortunately, the customer service at this location does not improve the experience. The employees are rude and unwelcoming, which makes visiting inside even more dissapointing. When I was asked, "How can I help you?" I responded, "You can't with these prices," and decided to leave without ordering. I understand that restaurants have experienced rising costs, but these prices seem excessive for a FAST FOOD restaurant. While the food may be good, I cannot justify paying over $20 for a single meal. At these prices, I will be spending my money elsewhere.

We did a quick spin through the next traffic circle and headed right back to A Bit O'Boston. Sho'nuff, that menu had the Fried Clams, Clam Chowdah and MORE. Lobster Cakes! Lobster Rolls! Authentic Boston Baked Beans! The best Potato Salad I've had this side of a southern church picnic. Old Bay seasoning on the condiment table. This joint is authentic. We got one "Back Bay"(Clam Strips with a side, he chose fries) and one Lobster Cakes with a side (Baked Beans for me) and we HAD to sample the potato salad after seeing the person before us dig into theirs. Very glad we did. It was outstanding. As was everything! The clam strips were more like clam clusters, and appeared to be hand breaded. Light and not greasy at all, definitely had some Old Bay in that batter! The Lobster Cakes were, wait for it, FILLED WITH LOBSTER. (See the photo. You won't believe it.). These are fry-bread type fritters, filled with huge chunks of lobster and cheese and deep fried. Absolute heaven. The baked beans were filled with bacon and the flavor of the love that went into making these traditional favorite. Karen, the owner, is the real deal.
