I really didn't consider any other living company as when I called in I felt assure that I had found the professionals I was hoping for. They were flexible with my timing as I was coming into town in a friend's truck and he needed to be back on the road before the next snowstorm came. The team came out pretty much exactly as our truck was arriving and they began unloading. Most of the boxes were placed in the correct room as they did have stickers on them which I got from Amazon and I highly recommend as it's so much faster than writing But I was mainly pleased that they were able to accommodate my four hour timeframe as I was not exactly sure when we were arriving due to road closures from rock slides and weather that seems to always arise inbound to Southlake Tahoe. Pressing not out of the ordinary for the area and as far as I'm concerned anyone who will come and lift things helping me avoid further sciatica damage are worthy of the rate they charge. It was a little hard to get the forms filled out that they needed in order to initiate service being that I was moving all of my computers were packed up in a truck and filling everything out from the app while I was driving was a bit challenging. Thanks to self driving and new advanced cruise control features I was able to pull it off. Thanks to the team! Good communication read more

Super impressed! The guys worked hard and did not mess around. Moved items quickly, but also very carefully. I saw James and Xavier being extra considerate of not scratching our bannisters. Very professional operation from scheduling to work completion. read more

Mile High Movers did an amazing job handling my move. I needed to move a bunch of stuff at very little notice from Tahoe to SoCal and they made it happen. I was really happy when they sent 4 guys over to help me pack up and grateful when they let me add a few extra items. They handled fragile items like lamps and pictures delicately and prioritized the protection of each item. They drove my items downs and got them there in time. I am super appreciative of their communication, professionalism and knowledge. read more

What a great experience! Today Sandro and Harry were amazing. Professional, efficient, careful, and so friendly! My compliments to MileHigh/Reno Tahoe Movers for hiring such quality employees! We so appreciate the job they did for us today:) Ken and Lisa read more

I called around town to find a good mover; Mile High came up and I spoke with Bobby who was very considerate -- he gave me an estimate for moving a very large and heavy entertainment center from one room to another. The price for 2 guys was $300; and we had some other items moved as well. They stayed about an hour or so. The movers, Sandor and Xavier showed up promptly at 8 am to do this, and then moved a large CRT TV to my husband's truck. They were friendly, polite, competent and efficient. We will definitely use Mile High again if we need anything else moved! read more

Extremely pleased with Nick and his crew. The crew showed up exactly on time, they were very cooperative and professional. They had to climb two flights of stairs, neither the furniture or walls got dinged. Couldn't be happier read more

This review is based on scheduling and my interactions with Nick. I have yet to have Mile High Movers conduct my move (more below) but will update my review with my final assessment once they do. I researched a couple moving companies in town, both big brand names and small independent companies. I chose Mile High because they were able to schedule my move on a specific day, were overall really easy to communicate with, and their prices were competitive. They provide a 26' truck, 3 guys, and an hourly rate with a 5 hour minimum. This was a good option for us because we can add on an hour if we need it without committing to huge amounts of money, or we can opt to finish moving any remaining items ourselves. The only bummer is that you start paying the hourly rate from the time they leave their office (near the airport) and until they arrive back to their office. If you live in the NW like me, then you lose an hour of service time that you've paid for just in their commute... that's a pretty big bummer. I originally scheduled my move for back in September and Nick was easy to work with to get everything squared away. He literally didn't skip a breathe when I requested a specific move date. He took a credit card number to hold but let me know he wouldn't charge it until the day of the move. Then we had some mishaps happen at the new house that we're going to delay our ability to move in on our scheduled move date. Even though we were still 2 weeks from the scheduled date, I was so hesitant to call Nick to find out what it was going to cost to adjust my move date, and anticipated some huge deposit. He was so nice about it and said it's a $40 charge. Wow!! We went ahead and scheduled a new date and I gladly paid the $40 charge. Then we had some personal family matters arise and if you can believe it, we needed to adjust our move date AGAIN. I felt awful but called Nick again. He did seem a little annoyed this time, but I definitely didn't hold that against him because I would have been annoyed by me too if I were him. So again, another $40 that I had no problem paying. Now our move is scheduled for next week and fingers crossed it all goes well! This is our first time ever hiring movers and I'm so nervous to "let go" of the control of moving it ourselves but my husband had back surgery less than a year ago so alas, here we are. Huge THANK YOU to Nick for being flexible and remaining professional after we adjusted our move date twice! read more

While this company has high ratings in general, my experience did not support this. The movers loaded my large POD unit very inefficiently (small items loaded first and large furniture pieces last) and left more than 32 boxes and numerous pieces of furniture unloaded. Had I done nothing, I would have had to spend thousands on another POD or U-Box to get the remainder of items shipped. When I contacted the owner, I was met with animosity and told the team did everything correctly. This is just not the case. The owner refused to send out his team to correct for the poor and inefficient job without charging me more. This is the opposite of good customer service. I had another company come out and reload the POD and they did a beautiful job. The owner will insist I'm wrong and don't know what I'm talking about, and will make excuses that don't hold up (including sending irrelevant screenshots from the PODs website) He wouldn't even come out to properly asses the job when I asked him to. But the proof is in the photos here of this terrible load. A picture is worth a thousand words. The movers themselves were nice and respectful, but nevertheless, I cannot recommend this company as they will leave you high and dry if there's an issue. read more

I want to acknowledge Mile High Movers for the supreme customer service I received from Nick. I can't say enough good about his professionalism and work ethic. He contacted me immediately after I put a request on Yelp for moving services. I am a disabled senior and wound up in a pickle when the moving company I had originally scheduled to help me unload a packed 10 foot U-Haul truck coming from Los Angeles failed to show up. This was a potential nightmare for me as I am new to the area and didn't know anyone to help. Before Nick called, I reached out to other moving companies and they were unable to help on short notice or their prices were exorbitant. Nick gave me a very fair price and worked around his schedule to literally come to my rescue. I expected him at the end of his work day, but he called back to say he could come now and I was thrilled. He showed up and immediately began unloading and was careful, fast and efficient. He had half the truck unloaded and placed my belongings in my new apartment even before his helper arrived. His co-worker was fast and efficient as well. I'm so grateful I was able to move in to my apartment that day and was tickled that I didn't have to keep the U-Haul truck additional days to find help. His company is the only licensed, legitimate moving company in this area. You should feel confident about hiring Mile High Movers to do the job for you. read more

We hired Mile High Movers twice for different stages of our move. Once to unload our U-Boxes into a storage facility in Reno, and an additional time 3 months later to move us into our long term rental in the South Lake Tahoe area. Both times they were professional, courteous, hard working and careful with our belongings. They took direction well where needed and made sure the process was as efficient as possible. Overall, they're not the cheapest service you'll find when you search, but they meet a level quality and care that aligns with the cost. We would recommend them to anyone in the Reno/Tahoe area and will definitely be working with them for any future moves we have. read more

Very professional and worked efficiently! You tell them what needs to be moved and they're on it! Very hard workers that care about your belongings as if it is their own. I would strongly recommend them. Thanks Josh & Sal!!! read more

Love this company. Their motto should be "we can do it". They will work with you to find a solution. They are also conscious of your time in scheduling. Small caring business. Give them a try read more

I hired Mile High Movers to help me move out of my storage unit in Reno to my new condo in Tahoe. They were punctual, very helpful, and fast. They provided additional strapping, plastic wrap and dolly's to help with the load. Great professional service! The office called to review the move prior to the date. They called to advance the date, and called to confirm that the helpers were in place. I was very happy with Mile High Movers and would recommend them to anyone. read more

From start to finish, they were easy to work with. I had to reschedule our move date several times due to the construction work on our new home not being completed and another due to the weather. They were flexible and understanding every time. On our move date, they were on time and got right to the job. Let's be honest moving sucks. They worked non-stop all day. The only break they took was driving from one house to another and a quick 5 minutes to eat the lunch that I picked up for everyone helping us that day. Of course, we included them as well. We moved in the middle of winter in Lake Tahoe and granted, there is snow on the ground. They tried their best to keep our floors nice and clean. I was more worried that they might slip and hurt themselves caring our furniture up the stairs, not upset that a little water got on my floors. The bottom line is this: I would highly recommend them to anyone needing a moving company. They are efficient, careful, and hard-working. read more

I used this service last July 2022, the best moving company I've ever dealt with. They saved me a lot of money because they were able to fit everything in one truck. I'm so happy I called Mile High Movers about my local/short distance move. I had my stuff at a U-Pack facility in Sparks and needed it moved over to my apartment in Reno as soon as possible. I was able to get something scheduled the same week I called and I was able to schedule something for the early morning (which is preferable for me). They were familiar with U-Pack and how it works so that was greatly appreciated too, I definitely think that made this run more smoothly. They were right on time and we had everything done in about an hour, give or take. They were very professional and friendly and moved everything quickly and efficiently. I really have no complaints, though it's worth noting they do have a 5 hour work minimum, but I still think it's totally worth it even if your job doesn't take anywhere close to that amount of time. Just the way it goes! read more

We used Nick's team of two guys to help unload a 16 foot moving truck into a storage unit in Reno. We had to change times twice, mostly because of a freak summer snow storm, but that was no problem for them. The team showed up right on time, worked their BUTTS off, and emptied the van in far less than the 2 hours I thought it was going to take. The rate was very reasonable and the team was great. I have already recommended them twice! We will definitely use them when it's time to empty that unit!!!! read more

We are in the beginning stages of a remodel and needed to be out of our house in a week. I called Mile High Movers thinking there would be no way they could move us, short notice and in the snow. To my surprise they had availability! The crew arrived on time. Super friendly and efficient! We'll call them again when we move back in. Highly recommend! read more

I'm so happy to have found Mile High Movers on Yelp, and my experience with them is consistent with all the other 5 star reviews written about them. My husband and I used Mile High Movers to move furniture from South Lake Tahoe to Sonoma County. From day one, when I reached out to them for a quote, Nick has been responsive, professional and accommodating. Moving is never fun, and moving from Tahoe in January also meant navigating snow storms and closed roads. Nick proactively kept us informed of changes in the weather pattern and when it appeared as though a storm was going to hit Tahoe the week of our move, Nick offered to hold our items until it was safer for his crew to deliver. His level of service was top notch, and to add to that, I was happy to give my business to an employer who prioritizes the safety of their staff. On the day of the move, Nick and his crew showed up 5 minutes early and ready to go. Everyone was friendly and professional. They treated our items with great care, were very thorough, and got everything packed within a few hours. Delivery went without a hitch; James and Garrett were on time and great to work with. Mile High made moving as stress-free for us as they could. I highly recommend them! read more

I loved the experience of working with Mile High Movers! I called a week before the moving truck was to arrive. I had 2 locations here in SLT that items needed to be moved into. One three story house and the other a two story business building. I had some coordination issues on my part as we navigated weather, road conditions and around the holidays and everyone had great communication, confirmation about location arrivals times. The move itself was flawless! Protected items that needed care, covered outdoor dirty railings. I mean it couldn't have been a better experience! Super friendly, the prices were great (people... please tip your moving crew!) and I wouldn't hesitate recommending them for any moving needs! Thanks so much! Blessings! read more

This review is way overdue! Mile High Movers accommodated a move for me with less than 5 days notice. They were super accommodating and really professional. We had to move some furniture into two storage units and I was so impressed by their packing abilities. Seriously...they fit a 4 bedroom home into two small storage units. I was beside myself. I would definitely hire them again. 5 stars! read more

Just based off of communication in requesting services. Received conflicting answers even after calling. Messages via Yelp and was told was available for Coleville location and dates needed, but when I called was told otherwise. We needed to move quickly after getting seriously behind due to the entire family/extended family recovering from being ill. Eric was extremely fast in responding and after speaking with him a short while we hired them for a short three days later. We were still feeling puny but Eric and his worker showed up and started saving our bacon. They worked seemingly tirelessly for 9 hours! We weren't done, so they came back a day later, started early and worked another 8 hours without hesitation, Eric and his workers were professional, willing, strong, easy to get along with, awesome workers, took care of our things, and had excellent communication skills. This entire experience was difficult enough for us, collapsing after the final truck return was a given; now to try and really beat our illness, it's off to bed....we felt lucky to have the help. His 5 stars are hard earned, well deserved. read more

We've only used 2 or 3 moving companies, mostly DIY w/friends... Never have experienced a moving company as professional as Mile High Movers! Fair priced, Prompt, the owner was on site working as hard if not harder than his crew. Would definitely use Mile High Movers again and most definitely would recommend these guy for all your moving needs!! They even hauled away years of stuff to the dump, that wasn't going to make the move... Thanks again Nick! read more

What a nightmare to work with. They made a huge mess of our house, dragging mud in and leaving puddles throughout. I had to make a stink to get them to use runners, make another stink to get them to clean up the original mess they made, and after all that, they still did a bad job of cleaning up after themselves. Their attitude the whole time was like a bunch of petulant 15 year olds whose mom was making them work while they'd rather be home playing video games: they did a poor job, had a bad attitude, and required us to micro-manage them to make sure they didn't screw up worse. Avoid if possible. read more

Needed movers to move two hide-a-bed leather couches down a tight flight of stairs, with two landing,to our garage at Donner Lake and a heavy Flexsteel recliner couch and recliner upstairs from garage. Sandro and Holman did an amazing job, while not damaging the walls or the furniture. They communicated well with each other and with us. Nick, the owner of Mile High Movers, was great with giving me a price up front and communicating with updates on their arrival time. His price was considerably better than other companies I called. Think there are a couple of different names of companies he owns so he put up with my confusion since I had asked other companies, with similar names, for estimates. Thanks Nick. He takes a credit card to hold the reservation and you can pay them by check, cash or cc when they finish. There is a cc fee. Very professional. I called the day before and he scheduled me the next morning. Would highly recommend them. read more

I don't know about their actual moving ability, but I thinks it's important for Yelp users to know about my experience. I'm moving about 12 miles. I'm disabled and in a wheelchair so I'm not able to move everything myself. I called these movers to get a half dozen large items left to move, but could not get a quote without giving them the square footage of my house. How this is relevant, I have no idea, unless they base their rates on how big your house is, meaning how much you can afford. I understand if I was asking them to move my entire household of items, square footage, might be important, but to move about 6 large items? Maybe the size of the house relates to the size of the doors? IDK. Maybe they have no other means for calculating rates. Whatever it is, you may want to consider another firm it you only have a few items to move. read more

Despite having a job that went beyond what they typically do, Nick accepted the work nonetheless. They arrived and finished on time. They did a great job and we were able to keep our money local versus using a moving & storage company outside the area. We highly recommend them. read more

I can't recommend Mile High Movers enough. I needed help unloading two large storage pods filled to the brim with furniture and heavy boxes. I wish the scale went to 10+ for this review! Mile High Movers helped me out of a jam. I had some furniture delivered and the original company couldn't finish the job to bring a couch and dresser upstairs. I called Mile High Movers very late in the day and they were available and showed up in 15 mins. Nick and his team completed the job quickly. I called again the next day to have them assist me in hauling away a large amount of packing materials, an old mattress, and a console. Mile High Movers helped me again and the job was done in no time. It would have taken me all day to break down everything. I've already told a few people about their services. Nick's team was incredibly helpful moving a 12 foot long 400lb walnut slab headboard up two flights of stairs for one of our clients.
