Elevation Electric - 50 amp NEMA 14/50R outlet install

I cannot say enough good things about Joe and the quality of his work, his efficiency, his communication, his timeliness, his cleanliness...everything. AND THAT'S NOT INCLUDING WHAT HE CHARGES, which was excellent. He shows up and EXPLAINS that he will install a 60 amp circuit/breaker/line as opposed to the 50 amp one I was expecting. Not costing me any extra. Thoroughly explains the electrical codes and materials regarding this...and I can charge the car 20% faster than I was expecting. I watched him through much of his work and HE KNOWS HIS STUFF! I got several other quotes and it seems like all the others were trying to capture the rebates and tax incentives that YOU can get for installing an EV charger. The partners with Xcel's EV incentive program were the worst. I'm telling you that you can't go wrong using Elevation Electric.

He successfully installed a level two charger in my garage on its own circuit, additionally, he put a existing outlet in the garage on its own circuit, installed a new outlet in the pantry and an exterior outlet for Christmas lights above my front door. I would highly recommend him for any electrical work and plan on using him again in the future

Rick the manager was very helpful and respectful, making a difficult situation in replacing outdated 50yo wiring easier to navigate. I submitted a Yelp project to get a quote on installing a smart thermostat. Rick called me immediately and told me he was driving, so if I texted him my name and address, he'd get back to me in about 40 minutes with a quote. Sounds reasonable. So I texted him. And waited. And waited some more. After more than two hours of radio silence, I sent a simple "Hello?" Suddenly, Rick called me back sounding like I'd just sent him 47 texts, hired a private investigator, and filed a missing persons report. "Umm... I got your message. I'm going to have someone call you with a quote." Great. That's literally all you had to text me two hours earlier. Eventually someone called and quoted me $259 to install a thermostat. Not exactly a Yelp special, but fine. We scheduled the appointment for 10:00 a.m., and I rearranged my schedule to make it work. A few days later, Rick left me a voicemail asking if they could move my appointment to 9:00 a.m. instead. He specifically said to call or text him back. So I texted him back. Can you guess what happened next? If you guessed "absolutely nothing," congratulations, you've worked with R&A before. I explained that I couldn't do 9:00 because I had another appointment at 9:15 and had already moved things around for the original time. No response. Not a yes. Not a no. Not a "See you at 10." Not even a thumbs-up emoji. At this point, I wasn't sure if they were coming at 9:00, 10:00, or sometime during the next presidential administration. So I canceled. The funniest part? The second I canceled and pointed out that this was now the second communication failure, Rick magically responded almost immediately: "Okay. Sorry for the poor communication on our end." Amazing. The fastest response of our entire relationship happened after they lost the job. If their electricians communicate with each other the way they communicate with customers, I hope they don't work on anything that requires wires to connect.

After the fourth visit and two failed inspections, I asked to speak with the owner. He said he'd show up on the final day and didn't. Not showing up after committing to do so speaks volumes. On multiple occasions, employees attempted to -- or did -- walk through my home beyond where work was being completed with their shoes on. This is a basic courtesy that should not have needed to be addressed. On the final day, an employee complained about the time spent waiting for the inspector to arrive. After five+ weeks of doing exactly that myself, I couldn't help but laugh internally. Most importantly, Summit advertises a "100% Right or 100% Free" guarantee on their website. These are not complicated words -- 100% means 100%, and free means free. There is no secondary meaning to either. When I raised this, I was told it essentially means they will keep trying until the job is done correctly -- which is admirable in theory, but falls well short of what "100% Free" implies when a customer has invested THOUSANDS of dollars. After reading the other reviews, I'm hoping the problem with my AC wasn't just a leak somewhere that could have been fixed for much less. I would strongly encourage potential customers to clarify what that guarantee truly means before signing a contract, and to get everything in writing.

I got the recommendation for Controlling Systems through ChatGPT and they didn't disappoint. The sales process best of the bunch. Chris, our sales rep. took the time to do a manual J measurement throughout the house to ensure we were getting the right system for the house, which none of the other contractors even considered. After showing me all the options, we went with their RUUD top of the line system which came with a multi stage furnance, variable stage AC, and a heat pump. They applied the rebates offered by Xcel, so we didn't have to wait for the rebates, we just signed over the rebates to them during the sales process. The installers were top notch, kind, and ensured they took good care of our home. I couldnt be happier and highly recommend them. From a price point, they came out thousands less than the closest competitor, and I'd note the closest competitor wasn't willing to do a transfer of the rebates. We would have had to claim those after the sale.

Being true to what they commit to, even if I wasn't bothered by it, seems to be their culture. Thanks!
