I'm glad I stumbled upon Nicholas Electric after a thorough google search and reading all the positive 5 star reviews. I wish I would have found them for our remodel electrical work as we had a bad experience with our prior electrician. Anthony and Jesse Nicholas (father & son) were early to the job, extremely knowledgeable, and offered tips and suggestions for my handful of electrical questions. They fixed a bad circuit in our bedroom that had 2 blown outlets and installed a new outlet under our stairs next to our main water shut off valve to finish up our smart home water detection/automatic water shut off if any sensors around the home detects water. Anthony also offered advice on under-cabinet lighting, a fireplace outlet, and a stubborn garage freezer outlet. I was shocked when I saw the very fair and reasonable invoice of only the first hour plus $10 of materials. I applied a 30% tip as they went above my expectations and wanted to recognize a great local small business in Castle Rock for their outstanding service. I have called on Nicholas Electric three times now. The first was for a main and sub panel replacement. Being a renovation on an older country home, the job had several challenges, but Tony kept working through them. He and Kimberly really went the extra mile and stayed late to make sure our power was restored. Since then, I have had Nicholas Electric back out to run a new electric dryer circuit and a line for a new gas insert fireplace. All of Tony's work has been clean and the interactions are friendly. They arrived within 5 minutes of their scheduled time. They realized the wiring was incorrect from my husband putting in the ceiling fan years ago....they fixed everything within 30 minutes. They were most professional and very reasonably priced. I would recommend them in a heart beat. They called back to make sure we were satisfied and even offered to come and fix a different minor repair free of charge. When I described my electrical issue I was offered advice on how to solve the problem myself. She said she would send someone out if I wanted, but that she hated to make me pay the hour minimum cost for 2 minutes worth of work. I did as she said and now everything is in working order. She was so helpful, and I really appreciated her giving me the option to try and take care of it myself instead of just sending someone out to get paid. She even asked me to let her know whether her fix worked or not. Great customer service! When I have another issue that I can't fix myself I will be giving them a call!
