The parking lot gets kind of crazy so if you're eating in, don't park near the (usually) long line snaking towards the drive-through window. I was stunned by how rude the person taking my order was I have been to this burger place many times this will be the last seems like it's a bunch of young high school girls that obviously do not like their job and I will be letting all of the people know that I work with What a disappointing experience. Mikie's is where I go when spring weather changes to "the warm". My go-to order is Single deluxe burger with everything except cheese or bacon, fries, tartar sauce, and a pineapple-banana shake. The ladies at the counter/drive-thru are always so friendly, helpful, and fast! The food is consistently delicious and the shakes have pieces of banana and pineapple in them. This is the 2nd time I have had to wait till all the cars have been serviced before I get my called in order..Inwas told they don't ever start thenirder till you get there well I parked and walked in it took 20mins to get my order ... Meh nothing is special about this place I think it's overpriced and even below average in my opinion. They could make the beef patties on the burgers a lot better. they are thin and basic as can be, they have a good selection of flavors for milkshakes but the price everyone not just Mikes is charging for ice cream I'll stick with Costco food court . The fries are onion rings here are ok but I feel like they have been getting by on being an old style kinda drive in burger joint for too long and it's way past time for an upgrade. There is usually a line around dinner time so maybe i just don't know what I'm talking about. Bottom line for me is I absolutely love a good drive in and a great burger but I don't feel that this place offers any reason to go back unless you don't have any options. Always stop at least once a week for the single deluxe cheese with extra onion. Old school burgers done right like the drive ins when I was a kid. Sometimes I will add bacon it's delicious as well. The pumpkin shakes are so good my friend and I used to drive from Arlington to Everett just for the shake and it is still just as good. Fries a little greasy not terrible. Great old school diner feel. My kids loved the colorful ambience, the photos of old cars and people. The milk shakes were a 5 star in their own. We tried a (blackberry?!) and a chocolate one. YUM. The staff was nice, quick and friendly. The only reason I'm not giving a 5, is because the food was your typical deep fried quickly made burger stand food. Nothing overly amazing, but not bad either. Taking their order basically, make you drive all the way around the store again while trying to get someones attention and basically Ignore. Good burger, fries, and shake. The whole family liked their food. Customer service was good and friendly even though it was busy. But the facility was quite a mess. Lots of help behind the counter but dining area seemed neglected. It needed to be cleaned and wiped down. Men's room needed cleaning and noticed there was no toilet paper. I've never had an order come out incorrectly, and the staff are always so friendly! Sometimes the wait is a little long, but not unbearable. Too much of a good thing can be a bad thing and although I did like everything, i don't think I could eat it often. I ordered the double bacon burger and it was beautiful, so much potential. But the burger was super salty, very seasoned but overall too salty. My malt was super sweet, there was a strawberry syrup taste that was really sweet and overpowering. A had read other reviews that said their milkshakes were sweet and i thought... Well it is a milkshake.... but I now agree, it is very sweet, so be warned. I was craving fish and chips, and my hot date (who knows the city in and out) said he knew exactly where I was talking about, when I was reminiscing about another fish and chips operation! Been going to Mikie's for the past 15 years. Usually quick, reasonable and exactly what you want in a burger place. Something has definitely changed. My most recent experience...I got home was ready to enjoy a tasty double burger, and to share some with my 4 legged company only to find no burger patties on my burger! So disappointing . I've been here 3 times to get a milkshake, today was the fourth time, and yes, I should've learned my lesson after the 2nd time, however, I always order a blackberry shake, with extra blackberry, and every time it tastes like straight vanilla. The only way you can tell they put blackberry is because it's slightly purple. You can go through the drive through - or they will just run out to your car and take your order. The young women who work there are all very nice and boy do they work hard! My grandparents took me here as a kid about 15 years ago, and I never forgot how good it was. I finally had it again today and I was super excited! It didn't disappoint us. The service was fast, the waitress came and took our order and payment while we waited in drive thru line. We got the double bacon cheeseburger, the fish sandwich, onion rings and potato salad to share. Everything was so flavorful and cooked to perfection! Both sandwiches were delicious. The onion rings were lightly battered, with thick juicy onions which is hard to find anywhere as usually places put too much batter for me. The potato salad tasted homemade.
