Whoever is paid to be in the yellow blow-up suit needs a raise, because it is hilarious. There is always fun new merch to purchase and you get a free drink if you get one! One day I will make it in time to try the bagels, because they look AMAZING!! But, I settled for a chocolate chip cookie and it did not disappoint with the little sea salts on top *chefs kiss*
Came on a Saturday afternoon around 3pm. Greeted as we walked in and very spacious. I wanted to try their matcha freeze but they were out. The lady at the counter told us all they have is matcha on tap. I tried it with oatmilk. It was okay. A little watered down but not too bad. I give it a 7/10.
Stopped in for the elite experience event & glad I did! Tiramisu cold foam- 4/5 Pistachio latte- 4.5/5 Watermelon juice with matcha cold foam- 5/5 Mango matcha freeze- 5/5 Bagel with blueberry cream cheese- 5/5 Everything was delicious! For my favorites: I've never had a matcha freeze so that was unique! It was sweet & flavorful, without being overly sweet. The watermelon juice with matcha cold foam was so refreshing and had a light earthy taste. The bagel was served warm and nicely toasted. They were also generous with the blueberry cream cheese, which I appreciated. As for the cafe itself, the restroom trash was overflowing, but the restroom was otherwise clean. A couple of the tables needed to be wiped down; however, the cafe was busy when we visited and people had just gotten up from those tables, so it was understandable. :) Since this was my first Yelp Elite experience, I wasn't really sure what to fully expect. The cashier was friendly and greeted us as soon as we checked in, but he only mentioned the blueberry and sesame bagels and that they were out of regular cream cheese. Later, I seen they had a pizza bagel and I would have loved the option to try that instead. It would have been nice if all of the available choices had been mentioned during check in. Not sure if they were out or if it just wasn't mentioned. Another staff checked in on us after receiving our order and he was very nice. Overall, I had a great first Elite Experience. The food and drinks were excellent and I'd definitely come back. Also thank you for Sammy for coordinating and introducing to this nice spot!
One of the best matcha places I've been to. The bagels were also really good. I arrived during opening at 7am and the two ladies were very friendly. I ordered the flight of matchas and blueberry bagel with cream cheese. My favorite was the mango match and tiramisu cold foam was my second favorite. The ambiance is very aesthetic and clean. Awesome hip place to go with a group of friends. Pretty spacious inside. Fresh Watermelon: 4/5 Mango Matcha: 4.5/5 Tiramisu cold foam: 4.5/5 Blueberry Bagel w/ Cream Cheese: 4.5/5
I decided to stop in while the elite event was going on, even though I wasn't on the list, and I'm glad I did. I tried their "matcha on tap" with tiramisu cold foam, and it was absolutely delicious. The fact that they offer an "on tap" matcha at a discount is really nice and unique. Their simple menu is also refreshing--keeping things straightforward is a breath of fresh air. When we ordered, the gentleman who took our order was named Tanner. He was extremely helpful in guiding us through the menu and options. After picking up our drinks, we decided to sit and enjoy our matchas. There are multiple seating areas, including a sofa, a park bench, and tables with chairs, so you can come in and use your computer or socialize with friends and family. They also have a special posted: if you purchase any merchandise, you receive a free drink! Very unique as well.
I saw a friend post on Insta about this place, and I can't believe I slept on it for so long. This place was amazing! The staff was so nice, and the atmosphere was fun, welcoming, and friendly. I loved the focal art piece on the wall with the shop's catchphrase, "For Those I Love." That's exactly the feeling you get when you walk in--a warm hug from someone you love. There's plenty of seating to hang out for a while and a simple yet classic menu. They stick to the classics, but the vanilla latte with house-made syrup was anything but basic. It was the perfect combo of sweet, creamy, and great-tasting espresso. So good! I also bought some merch and got a free drink with it, so I went with the raspberry matcha. I'm no matcha connoisseur, but it was freaking delicious. The raspberry smash at the bottom with the perfectly creamy matcha on top was such a great combination. I don't like matcha when it's too earthy or bitter--I definitely prefer my drinks sweet and super creamy, for reference. Side note: the damn bagel sandwich! I'd go back just for that. From the fresh bagel to the spicy mayo, it was everything I needed to go alongside my coffee. Love this place.
Woo hoo, a new coffee shop in the neighborhood. Came highly recommended so I had to try it out. I ordered a cold foam pistachio latte; fabulous delicious and affordable. Wonderful, helpful customer service and friendly which makes q huge difference these days. Brightly decorated and plenty of seating, clean and a cool vibe setting. I will be back to try their bagels! Update: Tried the breakfast bagels, yummmm! The sauces that came with them were both so delicious with a hint of fire! The bagels were so fresh! 4th visit this morning, did not realize the menu would change monthly. If it was a fan favorite, please keep it on the menu, please, please, please. I was offered the tiramisu cold foam which was very nice and subtle but I REALLY enjoyed the Pistachio cold foam wirmth their lightening milk. Hope it makes a comeback.
Pretty cool little spot I decided to try the peach espresso tonic and I got two bagels since they make them in-house. I tried the plain bagel and the pizza bagel. Both were pretty decent and you like the flavor of the pizza bagel. The atmosphere is pretty cool when you walk in there's a nice touch with a TV from like late 80s early 90s is broadcasting the view of everyone inside everybody was pretty friendly all in all. I think it's a pretty solid coffee shop.
I tried the matcha with whole milk unsweetened to really see how the matcha tasted at baseline. i would say it's comparable to much of the matcha I've tried around the IE. i imagine with some syrup, you could have a fun drink but for any matcha lovers out there, I'd say this is average or a little below for the IE area. i didn't try their coffee, which is what they're more known for. overall the staff were friendly and efficient. they had bathrooms available for customers. the shop itself is industrial style and can seat around 15-20 people. overall nice place, but I'd like to see better matcha. i hope to try the coffee next time I go!
Mikey G's was right next door to where we were at. We were able to park our car right in front do the thrift store and walk over. You can also park across the street in front of the goodwill. Right when we stepped out, we were very excited about the art on the sides of the building. They had photos of mice that were cleaning! It was very silly but cute. Once we stepped inside, we didn't immediately order. There was an old television with a webcam attached to it, to which we took a photo with. The coffee barista was very sweet and patient with us as we admired the decor and took our time looking at the menu. I decide to get their latte with vanilla bean syrup, while my fiancé got their tonic with mint. The drinks came out fairly quickly. We noticed several tables to study at with an interesting transition towards the back of the store. There were numerous people studying/doing work when we got our coffee. The coffee is strong and decent. I would say there's nothing unique about their menu; you've got the bare necessities. If you just need a good cup of joe with a quirky design, this is the place to go. Not bad for being new!
Solid new coffee spot in the Riverside plaza area. We stopped by for a quick cappuccino after breakfast. Everyone inside was pretty friendly and our drink was out in just a few minutes. There's a good amount of seating inside and it was pretty packed on a holiday. The space is clean and nicely decorated. We happened to get seating at a table where you can doodle on some paper! The drink itself was pretty good as well. Overall this is a solid spot for some coffee!
I had been wanting to try this coffee shop out for a while & finally got around to it today with my sister-in-law. We both opted for matcha, but I got a seasonal flavor and it was PERFECT. Not too sweet not too earthy and just the right color. My sister-in-law got a regular matcha and raved about how perfectly balanced the sweetness was. We were equally impressed with their bagels! I got the pizza bagel 5/5 & she got the blueberry bagel another 5/5! Can't wait to be back and try more things on their menu! Service was friendly & they got our things to us sooooo fast which was impressive given it's the weekend. Will most definitely be back!
Great matcha selection! I like their new location here as opposed to their harvest crusade location as that church is loud and proud about their republican and trump support! Not a fan of going there but I would come back to this location for another drink!

Walking into Mikey G's feels like stepping into a place where time slows down just enough to enjoy the moment. The aroma of freshly ground coffee hits you right away--rich, warm, and inviting. The space strikes that perfect balance between cozy and stylish, with soft lighting, clean design, and just enough buzz from conversation to make it feel alive without being overwhelming. What really sets Mikey G's apart, though, is the people. The staff greet you like you've been coming in for years, even if it's your first visit. There's a genuine energy behind the counter--no rushed interactions, just good vibes and attention to detail. You can tell they care about what they're making. And the coffee? Consistently top-tier. Whether it's a smooth cold brew, a perfectly balanced latte, or something more creative off their specialty menu, every drink feels crafted, not just made. Pair that with a fresh pastry or light bite, and it turns into more than just a coffee run--it's an experience. Mikey G's isn't just a stop in your day; it becomes part of your routine, the kind of place you look forward to going back to. read more

Just what downtown Riverside needed. Phenomenal service. The staff is genuinely welcoming and you can tell they care about what they're doing. The coffee is excellent. Smooth, well-balanced, and not just hype. The vibe is a big win too. Cool downtown feel, clean, and a great place to hang out or get some work done. Huge addition to Riverside! read more

Since it's fully opened they have added bagels to this location's menu. The bagels are definitely a tasty addition and we spoke to one of the owners who confirmed they are made by them at the other location and not bought from a vendor. The blueberry cream cheese was a nice addition. The pizza bagel is an instant favorite. The staff is friendly and service is consistently fast. They've added a few small touches to the interior and seating so it's comfortable. It is one of our preferred weekend stops now. read more

Such an amazing little spot! Employees are friendly (thanks Jake), the building had a sort of "vintage" feel to it, and the coffee was awesome. It's almost like the Crumbl Cookie of coffee. There's new stuff every month, and it's always fun and unique. A true hidden gem! read more

Great new spot just opened in the neighborhood. Big fan of the easy parking. Love the creative menu that goes above and beyond your typical latte. We were there on the soft opening day which had a long line the entire day, (as expected, which moved quickly for us. We waited maybe 5 minutes for our drinks after we ordered. Fast service and great drinks. Can't wait to be back! read more

The drinks were so fantastic! We had the lightning milk with the Reese's puffs cold foam. It's a great balance of coffee and sweet, peanut buttery goodness without being overly sweet. The banana bread hojica tasted like your grammy's best slice of banana bread mixed with a lovely black tea latte. My first time trying hojica, but definitely would order again! I didn't taste the latte, but my friend was very happy with it. Service was friendly, made great recommendations, and prepped quickly! The vibes of the shop are rad. Minimal/industrial vibes with cute splashes of happy yellow. Plenty of seating to chill and enjoy the great background music and converse with friends! Clean restroom! Such a wonderful small business addition to the Riverside community! Go support the crew! They're wonderful! read more

Really great bold coffee. Not sweet like a lot of the popular coffee shops despite the toppings. This is for coffee lovers who love the intense coffee flavors. Tried it recently for the coffee and matcha and will need to come again once their food menu is set up! Wife rated the matcha as a 10/10. read more

Mikey G's has done it again! I've been going to their other location since they opened it and was super excited for their second location. Despite being a new location they have the best service and the vibes have remained the same! Feels a little quieter at this location, but still super homey and friendly. Of course the drinks did NOT miss! 10/10 as per usual! We got blueberry pancake matcha and the Reese's puffs drink, both were so good! I cannot wait for more events at this location! read more

I love Mikey G's! My roommate and I have a tradition of trying their matcha flights every month. They always have great service and friendly employees. All their drinks are made with excellence. Their specialty bagels are delicious, the London fog bagel was the best bagel I've ever tried. At most coffee shops I stick to a "usual order", but here I'm always down to try their latest creation. Today I'm trying the blood orange espresso tonic. The new flagship location is perfect, lots of space to sit and socialize. I love their theme and decor! read more
