Kevin at the shell station was friendly and kept us updated the entire time with the repair. He even touched base with my mechanic in NJ since I had just had my radiator replaced. The van was towed in Wednesday at 5:30p and I picked it up Thursday at 5:30p. They even stayed late to finish it. The bill was reasonable. I've lived in a tourist town for almost 20 years and know how some shops take advantage of tourists. The guys at Bridge Shell were honest, conscientious of our time and well priced. I would totally recommend them to anyone who needs service in OCMD!

WTF! Time for the…read moreol' trusty default three star Yelp gas station check list: Good price? It was $3.49 at the time of pumpage which is on par for the area but thankfully cheaper than anything in OCMD proper so a win on that one but with prices being what they are now, ultimately it's all relative. Did I trip over any random tire shards, radiator parts or left behind wing nuts? No runs, no hits and no errors but also no room in the outside garbage bins and no windshield wash fluid or squeegee either. Grrrr. Easy on/off to the highway/road of my choosing? Couldn't be any easier to slither off/on Ocean Gateway. Human intervention needed? Sadly, yes. In Royal Farms idiotic need to automate everything, you couldn't pay for gas at the pumps and had to go inside to pay at one of their automated checkout kiosks. While to me that's a conspiracy just to drive people into the store in the hope that they'll buy more MSG laden treats or fried chicken, it's also a real PIA when the kiosks weren't always working to purchase fuel. In the end it all got resolved for myself and a few others I saw in the store but they made it way too hard to do something which should be mindlessly easy. Three star gas station bliss, fail...

I had heard many times about how great their fried chicken is supposed to be, so I tried ordering a…read morechicken 'meal'. The kiosk display shows an image with chicken and fries (wedges) but it doesn't clearly state that the fries actually come with the 'meal' when ordering. So for clarification I asked if the fries came as part of the 'meal' - and man did I get a hostile response from a food counter 'lady'! It wasn't like I was trying to get over on anyone - all I wanted to know is whether I also needed to order the fries separately - in addition to the chicken. I didn't want to end up with TWO orders of fries! Later I find the menu on their website states, "*ALL CHICKEN MEALS COME WITH A SIDE OF WESTERN FRIES." Screw this place - go to Popeyes or ANYWHERE else where customers are actually valued.

My brother in law and nephew wanted fried chicken and Crab Bag wasn't answering their phone again,…read moreso they suggested Royal Farms fried chicken. We got a 12 piece (3 each of breast, thigh, drum, and wing) with 2 large sides (fries and Mac 'n cheese) for around $34, which seemed high for gas station food to me. I think Crab Bag restaurant had lower prices. The chicken was good. I like a heavy crust on my chicken and this has it. The chicken wasn't over cooked (tough) or dry, but it wasn't moist either. Not sure I'd expect it to be moist because it's pre cooked and sitting under warmer lamps, but just sayin. The sides were a disaster. The Mac 'n cheese was worse than the cardboard box Mac and cheese harried parents feed their hungry children. And the fries were mushy wedges. BIL and nephew said Royal Farms was really good, but I thought it was disappointing. Still, it's a gas station quickie mart with hot table food 'fer 'cryin out loud, so why would I expect better? If you are hungry and have low expectations you shouldn't be disappointed.
