Our mini van was smoking when we pulled into the parking lot to do some shopping on vacation. We called AAA and the tow truck driver recommended Bridge Shell. Thank goodness!! Kevin at the shell station was friendly and kept us updated the entire time with the repair. He even touched base with my mechanic in NJ since I had just had my radiator replaced. The van was towed in Wednesday at 5:30p and I picked it up Thursday at 5:30p. They even stayed late to finish it. The bill was reasonable. I've lived in a tourist town for almost 20 years and know how some shops take advantage of tourists. The guys at Bridge Shell were honest, conscientious of our time and well priced. Wonderful auto repair shop! We just needed our tire repaired but other people were there from the neighborhood and they were saying these were good guys. We had a slow leak, got out tire plugged, only $20! Good enough to get us home, very helpful, nice people. read more

a few years ago I had a headlight out and took my car to this shell station for fixing. The guy who helped me then was courteous, fast and gave me a very reasonable price. So this year when I was pulled over for one out of two license plates lights out I was annoyed with some a ridiculous reason for pull over but at least I knew where I could go for fast, friendly & reasonable service. Unfortunately my new experience was nothing like the first. When I approached a few people sitting at a table (since no one cane over to me or acted interested in seeing what I needed) I was immediately belittled by a man working there. Before I could say anything about my car, he asked me in a very smart ass mocking way why I needed to wear a mask outdoors. Although I don't see how my decisions for personal health are any of his business I obliged and explained I have stage 4 cancer and am trying to be extra cautious for my own safety. Then I finally explained I was pulled over for one tag light out and the female worker immediately exclaimed how ridiculous that was that I would be pulled over for that. I agreed and commented that I can't believe the police don't have anything better to do. Once she walked away the same man who had already spoken down to me once began to once again ask me in a smart ass tone rather I was supposed to have two working lights or not and mansplain to me why it was the law. Everything he said to me was dripping with patronizing and condescending disdain. I got the distinct feeling he would never talk to a man like that or talk to me that way if my husband was with me. I work in customer service and I would never have the nerve to work so hard to make a customer feel stupid. He obviously has serious issues that he feels that need more so than wanting to get a sale. I was seriously on my phone looking for another shop to take my car too. Yes I would have rather wasted mire vacation time searching for a different place then give them a dime of my money at this point. But the young man who actually did the work was nice and fast and fixed it before I could even find somewhere else so I paid it and left. This is a fair, reasonable, responsible, honest shop for the out-of-Towner! Call them! We needed a replacement tire on LABOR DAY/vacation & we were in/out in an hour or so. This is the little Shell & Service Station right on the way out of Ocean City. You can tell they've been burned by tourists borrowing tools, but reluctantly they let my husband and I borrow a wrench to fix his bike. Very relaxed and friendly folks otherwise. read more

They tried to cheat me and charge $643 for some rear drum brakes and said it would take 3 days to fix. I said I would take it somewhere else. Then they proceeded to call me and my wife all kinds of names over the phone and had her in tears. They then made up a "diagnostic" fee of $85 and said I couldn't have my car back until it was paid. They said I had to pay in person within 30 minutes or they would have it impounded. They took advantage of us since we were out of town. These are despictable scum of the earth people, do no go here, you will regret it!!!! read more

Had slow leak went to one place said stem valve.. Took here and they took it in right away put it in the air and spun it it and found a large nail in it they plugged it successfully and I was so happy and went on my way. Total cost $20. A great bargain and will count on them again. read more
