Oh where do I start? I finally made a yelp after my sister and law told me about it so now I'm finally getting to this. In spring of 2019 I went to Ocean City for vacation with my wife. Almost to the hotel, my car breaks down. I get it towed here and the gentleman said my transmission was busted and I had a piston that was chipped with a blown head gasket. The car was a 2012 Santa Fe. Above all that it needed an oil change. The guy told me it would be 500 to fix the transmission, 700 for the piston and head gasket and another 150 for the oil change. I thought those prices were completely wrong and just pure robbery!!!! I told him I'll have to look elsewhere and paid 100 bucks to get it towed to Mike dents up the road. I go there and this man tells me I have a blown head gasket and I'll get in and out within 3 hours. No bad transmission or nothing. He even took the time to show me and explain to me how my transmission and everything was fine! Besides the head gasket. Even the piston was good! I asked about the oil change and he gave it to me for free since I was already spending 300 on the gasket repair. I told him about Atlantic Car Care and he said it's no surprise because they screw people like that all the time. He told me he has proof of 5 people getting charged 300 dollars for a premium oil change and MD inspection! Unless you have plenty of money to blow on overpriced garbage, go here! A damn junkyard will give better prices! This place stinks!!! read more

Bill (driver) and Jerry (the mechanic) were extremely helpful. A little over a month ago was on a day trip to Ocean City when my car broke. I called early on Sunday morning and Bill answered and arranged the car to be dropped off that morning. While Jerry had other vehicles ahead of mine, the job was completed within a few hours and was on my way home right afterwards. Altogether, while quick fixes can at times be expensive when stranded, I found the prices to reasonable, and the service to be superb. Bill and Jerry (throughout the entire arrangement and wait) were very communicative to explaining what was wrong, when and where to go, what they were going to do about it, and even personally offered their own numbers on the weekend as a point of contact. Honest and straightforward customer service is a mark that once i find, I take the time to write a solid review for - as I am now. Certainly check these guys out if you're in a tight bind on a vacation with a temperamental or dead vehicle! read more

Our van had some brake issues around Ocean City, MD while my family and I were driving home from VA. It was late into the afternoon but Atlantic Car Care shop took a look at our van and fixed the problem right there on the spot. They were pretty busy and backed up with their scheduled repairs but they took the time to get us back on the road. All the staff were super courteous and helpful. I had the catalytic converter stolen on my car and called atlantic car care for a quote. They said it would cost $350.00. After bringing it in to get checked they told me it was also missing an oxygen sensor which costed $170.00, and so I was looking at a balance of $666.00. After taking it to another place (local and very well known) for a second opinion I was told it was not missing an oxygen sensor and the converter replacement was $286.00. I am really surprised after all the good reviews this place has. Shame on you guys! read more

I've only one experience here so far, but it was excellent. My wiper came loose and I don't have the tools to fix it. I brought my car in, the mechanic tightened the right bolt, no charge. I now have usable wipers again. When you are on vacation the last thing you want is car trouble. But when it happens it's good to know there is somewhere to go where you can get professional, personable and efficient servicing. Today my battery died while on vacation in OC Maryland. I got a jump but didn't know if the battery would hold a charge. I found Atlantic Car Care just outside of town. They looked the car right away, tested the battery and then replaced it immediately all for a fee that was more than fair. And while he was at it Jeff also re-attached my sagging bumper - at no charge! So forget driving to the Walmart auto center in Berlin or to Sears in Salisbury - Atlantic car care is close, capable and cost efficient. read more

Extremely disappointed with the poor customer service I received here. My car was at their facility for about a week and due to the poor communication skills on their end, I had to call daily to get any update as to what was wrong/ when I could expect my vehicle to be fixed. After about a week and several hundreds of dollars later, they advised they could probably have it fixed in another week. I explained my dissatisfaction and inconvenience this had caused and was met with a less than accommodating and rude attitude. Feeling uncomfortable having them work any further on my car, and extremely unvalued as a customer, I took my vehicle elsewhere to be fixed. I will not be returning and will not be recommending them to anyone. read more

So, we broke down in OC the day before our vacation ended. We had no idea where to call, or whether or not anyone would be able to fit us in. The cab driver that came to pick up the rest of my family suggested we call Atlantic car Care, so we did.... It was the best decision we made. They were able to look at the car right away, found the problem immediately, and knew what to do. We had to leave the car, because a part had to be ordered, but that was to be expected given the situation. The people there were very friendly, professional, and down to earth. It was a relief to deal with mechanics that knew what they were doing, and we're actually trying to help you rather than just trying to make money. We had been through some awful stuff a few weeks previously (Far East Motors, Silver Spring, MD... Review shortly), so we're a bit gun shy when it came to dealing with any car repairs. Atlantic Car Care did exactly what everyone wants when dealing with things like this. I can't say enough nice things about them.... they made a crappy situation seem a whole lot better. Oh, and just so you know, they do NOT overcharge for their work.... even when they know you really have no choice but to leave your car with them. Honest, hard-working, knowledgeable, and friendly.... every one of them. If you are looking for a mechanic on the Eastern Shore of MD, or get stranded in OC like we did, call them. read more

THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE!!!! I wouldn't go back to this place if the fate of humanity depended on it!! First I took my car here to get inspected. I brought it in on a holiday weekend, so when I called at the end of the day and was told my car wasn't done (even though any other place would have an inspection done in 2 hrs tops and my car had been there for 9) I was patient. However, NEVER did I think that would mean that I wouldn't get my car back for another 4 days!! When I finally left an angry message the guy had the nerve to call me back saying how he had desperately been leaving me countless voicemails (a lie!) and then when I told him he was a liar, he got all huffy with me and said "Your car is done. Just get over here and get it!" I got my car and he had listed all these things that he says needed to be replaced but when I took them to another mechanic (because I obviously didn't trust this man) he said these parts were all fine! Regardless, I had him replace everything and I took the car back to Atlantic Auto for reinspection (because MD law says I have to) and this jerk claimed everything was wrong!!! It was clear this guy was going to continue to fail my car until he could make some real money off of me. When I told him he was a crook ad I would be calling someone to complain about him his response was a throaty laugh and then he says "well I can get you the number for someone!" This place needs to be shut down!!! read more
