I ordered my sub The Deli Man Way, and it was a hefty baby. I actually turned it into several beach sandwiches over the next few days. The deli meat was solid overall, but the prosciutto wasn't trimmed well. It had a tough fat band that I had to pull out of my mouth, which definitely threw me off. I don't eat prosciutto often, so I'm not sure how common that is, but it wasn't my favorite part. The Italian Hoagie was good, though next summer I'll try something different. With a score of 22 out of 25, I give this spot a B+.

My other grocery store I tend to go while in OC, is Harris Teeter, in Selbyville, DE (about 20 -25 minute drive), This store is like a mini-Safeway (has all of your basic needs for grocery store), has a salad bar, deli section for meats, fried food station (for fried chicken, etc.), donuts, decent size produce section, etc. At first I thought this was a hardware store, not to be confused with ACE!

For all of our recent deliveries we are wondering if they are going to show up on time, or at all. Our experience over the last couple days went like this. She placed the delivery order on Monday for an 8pm delivery, our groceries never came. Tuesday was the same, our groceries never came. Wednesday my wife needs to feed our family so she drives to the store only to wait for over an hour because half of our order was missing even when she came to pick it up. Walmart customer service was absolutely no help. Delivery orders used to show up promptly during the delivery window and now don't show up at all, unless you are willing to pay a 20% tip to the driver. Groceries are already expensive enough, I am not going to tip my driver a 20% delivery tip for a service I already pay for on a $400 grocery bill for my family of 5. Walmart is absolutely going to lose a customer with my household all because they decided to cheap out and change how they manage their delivery services!!

We stopped by for lunch shortly after arriving for our OCMD beach weekend and were thoroughly impressed by the caliber of food LA is dishing out. What started as a liquor store with a bar has evolved into a seriously good restaurant that stands out from the usual beach fare. Our table of four shared a bunch of small plates and a few larger dishes. We tried the steamed mussels, buffalo wings, tuna crisps, baked oysters, short rib pot pie, and Kung Pao calamari. The rich short rib pot pie was excellent, and we loved the baked oysters with aged cheddar, honey chipotle, and fresh chimichurri. Our favorite was the Kung Pao calamari, which had a great sweet Asian heat that made it a fun spin on the classic. We also ordered a round of cocktails, with the bourbon and whiskey based drinks being the favorites. The Wild Fashioned was especially good. Another great perk is that dining guests receive 10 percent off purchases from the attached liquor store. We happily took advantage and stocked up on Willett bourbon and Clase Azul tequila for the rest of the beach weekend. Overall, Liquid Assets is a great place to come for a drink or three with some elevated bites, especially when you are ready for a break from typical beach food. We will definitely be back.
