I said no. One worker seemed fine but most of the stuff was hauled up the stairs by the other. He was friendly but did a lousy job, while telling us he'd hurt his back and was workign 7 days in a row, which he thougth was funny. He also kept announcing he was crazy. My microwave never arrived-it was the one thing I had left for them to box as I'd run out of boxes the right size. He flung things around very carelessly. there was a lot of minor damage and my computer monitor and toaster oven didn;t work after the move and had to be replaced, as well as the missing microwave. In addition, they insisted on renting me mattress covers to protect them during moving(they said sell but I didn't get to keep them). Evm so there were dirty footprints on my mattress topper. Multiple calls and emails have got the same answer-someone would call me soon. no one ever has. Don't bother telling me ot waste my time on another call. I contacted them via Yelp and quickly got a call back and a quote (removal of a sofa and loveseat from the 2nd floor). On the day of the move, they called me from the truck saying the were running 5-10 min late due to traffic...it was great to get a proactive call. Once they arrived, there was trouble getting the sofa out of the room. After tying all possible angles they recommended cutting the couch in 1/2. They needed 15-20 min to go back to the shop and get a sawzall. From there things went smooth. Furniture removed, door that was taken down rehung, vacuumed up the cutting debris, etc.. Any time you're dealing with junk, there will be problems that arise. What separates ok, bad and great companies is how they handle these problems. VMAC is one of the GREAT ones...they made things right, honored the original price even with the extra work and asked no less than 50 times if there was anything else they could do to make things right.
