Like the rest of the reviews, I agree that these guys are great (would give more than 5 stars if possible). I contacted them via Yelp and quickly got a call back and a quote (removal of a sofa and loveseat from the 2nd floor). On the day of the move, they called me from the truck saying the were running 5-10 min late due to traffic...it was great to get a proactive call. Once they arrived, there was trouble getting the sofa out of the room. After tying all possible angles they recommended cutting the couch in 1/2. They needed 15-20 min to go back to the shop and get a sawzall. From there things went smooth. Furniture removed, door that was taken down rehung, vacuumed up the cutting debris, etc.. Any time you're dealing with junk, there will be problems that arise. What separates ok, bad and great companies is how they handle these problems. VMAC is one of the GREAT ones...they made things right, honored the original price even with the extra work and asked no less than 50 times if there was anything else they could do to make things right. read more

I AM FROM LOWELL - DON'T KNOW WHY MY TOWN SHOWS CA -Had my house for 43 years and stored and stored. I finally decided to clean out. Called VMAC and Ed was so great to work with. He showed up on time with the truck and driver and 5 guys to clean the cellar out. Rough job as no door cellar to outside. Had a old work bench which they cut up and took away also. They had to go through my bedroom/kitchen/living room. NO Mess ! They swept downstairs and nice and neat now. I do have very little down there but no more storing junk or adding to the little I kept. I would like to share VMAC went above and beyond. After being left hanging due to another removal company not being prepared to handle our house clean out since we are selling our house and moving out of state leaving later in the week. Our real estate agent recommended VMAC. I called them on Saturday afternoon on a holiday weekend and got a scheduled pickup for Sunday morning at 10am. Kevin and his team arrived and advised us what to expect due to a long holiday weekend as their drop off facilities are closed our options were limited. Kevin and his team agreed to take what they could, in the end they completed the whole job with multiple truck loads in a fast and efficient manner at a reasonable cost. We recently moved cross country from Southern California to Tewksbury and after unpacking our household goods had a number of items that we needed to dispose of as we no longer wanted/needed them. The refuse company that services the area where we live does not do bulk pickup so we had to find a reputable company that would work with us. We believe in supporting the local community as opposed to the larger, generally more expensive chains and in our internet search found VMAC Removal. We emailed VMAC Removal with our needs on a Friday afternoon, Black Friday, and quickly received a reply requesting we phone the business so we could discuss specifics. Phoning the establishment that same afternoon we reached a very pleasant, professional gentleman, Ed. Ed took time to patiently explain how the pricing worked and after a few minutes on the phone and a series of questions, he was able to provide us with a conservative estimate to ensure there were no surprises. We arranged to have the items picked up the next morning. Prior to the appointment that Saturday morning, we received a phone call from Ed letting us know the driver was on his way. Sure enough within 10 minutes of the call his driver, Mel, showed up and quickly got to work loading the truck in the dreary rain. As the driver worked he arranged the items on the truck to minimize the footprint thereby reducing our cost for pickup. In a matter of about 15 minutes the truck was loaded, my garage was all cleaned out and the driver pulled away. Shortly thereafter the phone rang and it was Ed to confirm all went well and the cost had been as expected. That's Customer Service!! VMAC and Ed has exceeded my standards. My dad is ill and has home-health care. I live out of state (four hours away in Maine) and can not do certain things for my dad because of the distance. Been meaning to leave these guys a good review for a few months but they're so good I had to go back to five star them! After renting a home for many years we had collected all sorts of junk and tons of old electronics. These guys came within a day of me calling and packed their truck FULL. They blew me away with what they fit on there for us. Two dude made quick work of all sorts of odds and ends including grabbing loss objects for us. Their price on removing electronics can't be beat and the cost of the truck alone was among the best I had contacted. On top of that they offered a discount at the end for having a full truck. 5 stars all day. These guys are great. We used them twice within a few months to clean out two houses we were selling. They are prompt, courteous and professional. They do a great job and get every inch out of the truck. It is a flat rate to fill one truckload and they really get the most out of it. At once house it had snowed a couple of inches the night before and Mel and Larry grabbed a shovel and shoveled it right out without hesitation. High marks for great service. Remodeling the home and had VMAC come by 3 times to remove 40 gallon bags filled with drywall and insulation, approximately 50 bags total. The first trip required they shovel much of the loose drywall from a tarp into a large barrel & in the snow (this was before I purchased the 40 gallon bags). I was very happy with the responsiveness of VMAC, the equipment they have (hydraulic lift to make heavy loads easy) and how well they cleaned up. In all cases they were at the house within hours of my call. Price was fair, I would recommend them to anyone needing junk removal. read more
