When I presented my credit card, as I had told him I would do when I asked for the service, I was informed that there'd be a surcharge for using a credit card. I disputed his doing that because there was no prior notice. No mention of it in the emails we exchanged, no mention on his website, but he was adamant that he was going to charge the fee ($5), even to offering to take the stuff off his truck and call it square. It was worth the $5 to me to not have to deal with getting someone else to remove the junk, but I'll never do business with him again. Surprise extra costs are a very bad way to do business, but Junk Truck operated that way with me.

Recently we decided to change some wall mounted light fixtures. When we tried to remove the old ones we discovered they hadn't been removed during the painting, just painted around. The new fixtures we had purchased would have left unpainted surfaces showing and the whole wall would need repainting I would not use this company again and would advise anyone using to check the work thoroughly.

So far, I have had no issue with quality of work, but only time will tell. However, I have had a lot of difficulty communicating with them as a business during both the estimation phase and the work phase. Phone calls go unreturned, promised return phone calls never happen, and sometimes people just don't show up. My biggest issue was with some carpentry work to repair rotten boards and trim in preparation for pressure washing and painting of the exterior of the house. They refused to give me any estimates for the work we discussed, they used very expensive materials in the repairs instead of the same materials that were being repaired, did not notify me about this or give me a choice, they were slow in doing the repairs and charged me way more labor hours than it should have taken. Their labor hours even included their lunch breaks. In the end, I was handed an invoice that was far beyond my expectations. Trying to negotiate a reasonable discount of 20% was like talking to a brick wall. Be very careful in dealing with Corriveau Painting and get estimates.

While they weren't punctual, they were affordable, staff was pleasant, and they were efficient once they arrived. We then hired Nathaniel and crew to do some yard work. Punctuality continued to be an issue. In fact, they wouldn't even come on the day they stated, and they were difficult to get a hold of. Still, we found Nathaniel pleasant to work with and the job was completed according to our agreement. Unfortunately, we can't recommend them or use them again because we have a contract with them, and they never finished about $900 of the work. They kept saying they'd come. The admin person kept saying her emails were stuck in her outbox, so we didn't receive communication about delays. Nathaniel stopped responding to texts. We even had our lawyer send a letter, and no one responded. We decided not to pursue the issue further. Needless to say, this was an expensive and overwhelmingly negative experience.
