Was sorta in the mood for a hot dog but remembered that Biker Jim's had closed a bit ago as has Steve's Snappin' Dogs. What to do, what to do . . .? Then I remembered that Billy's Gourmet Dogs isn't that far away so I ordered their great looking Bison Bratwurst, one of their more expensive choices on-line. Paid for it and got the pop-up notice saying it would be ready at 1:30. Got tied up on a call so didn't make it there until 1:45 or so. Came into an empty restaurant with 2 gentlemen workers in the back. Gave them my name and told them I was there to pick up my order. The response? "Uh, hmmm. Oh, ah, sometimes we don't get these . . . Yada yada yada." In other words, they hadn't bothered to look to see if any orders had come in after whatever rush they'd experienced closer to noon, and so they hadn't even started my order. One of them apologized and said they'd get right on it and in less than 5 minutes they did indeed give me my order; or at least what they said was my order. Now I've kinda been around for a while and so I"m not all that surprised when what you're told you're going to get isn't exactly what you end up getting. That was the case here. I'll attach what their menu shows as a picture of that product, and then a picture of what it turned out to be, but the bottom line is that what I got didn't have to the 2 things that were in the description and the picture that made me want to get what I'd ordered. The menu said said the bratwurst was split and grilled and served with jalapenos. Now who doesn't like that char and bit of crust that grilling a split wurst gives you? And for me who really was in the mood for something spicy, when you combine that char and jalapeno with ,brown mustard . . . mmmmm . . . that's some kinda good. This dog they served me wasn't split, wasn't grilled--or if it was showed no sign of that--and had not a single jalapeno on it. (I did manage after serious inspection to find 1 or 2 slices of onion in the sauerkraut, but nothing even remotely close to the picture. Bottom line (as to why Billy's didn't get 1 star) . . . well, the 2 gentlemen there, once they made up the excuse about why they hadn't already made my order, were apologetic and kind. Again, they both said they were sorry and wished me a nice day. I appreciate that, but my general feeling (that obviously made an impression on me since I've been working on this review for a while:), is that I won't go back to Billy's in the near future. I have no desire that any trouble comes to the workers from this review, but my feeling is that if you're going to ignore your work and decide to just hang out instead of doing your job, then, if you really want to make up for it, you'd produce a product that would make your employer proud of the food you've produced. That didn't happen. Too bad. Not a huge deal, but in this world where things have consequences, and Billy's just lost a customer--at least for the near future. Ciao, so to speak, David M

That was a huge error because all of the other commitments couldn't add up to the experience here. Rhein Haus is an authentic German restaurant. It has an excellent beer section, great food, and looks like it has fun games. The staff was super friendly, and we had a great time. We started with some beers, a sausage sampler, and a giant pretzel. Get this, and you will be treated to some excellent food. But the entree was even better. I opted for the Jagerschnitzel with beef goolash, braised cabbage, and warm potato salad. I have no idea how goolash is made, but it was incredible. The flavor was so rich, and I pictured how great it would have been on a cold Denver night. Unfortunately for me, it was like 80 degrees outside. The schnitzel was equally wonderful, but that warm potato salad was even better. My goodness, it was delicious. Is it wrong that I am thinking of flying back in just to come visit here? That is how great it was to me.

So glad to finally see a Yelp page for these guys, I've been wanting to give them a rave review for…read morea while. I've been to the farmer's market at the Denver Federal Center for 3 straight years and never have I had so many lunches from a single vendor! lol. Their lobster rolls are to die for: I've checked with a coupld of friends who are from the east coast, and they said the lobster rolls from this food truck are as close to the real thing as Colorado can get! All the offerings from East Coast Joe's are a bit on the pricey side, but are definitely compensated by quality, here's a list of items I've tried in the order of most favorite: - Lobster Roll: very refreshing, every bit is full of lobster meat. The bun is very buttery and the right amount of crunch. I so want to finish trying the different items on the menu just so I could come back and have more lobster rolls, lol - Pulled pork sandwich (I think they lovingly call it "Stick A Pork In It" or something like that, cute name): not as big as I expected, but the pulled pork is SO tender, and instead of being smothered by BBQ sauce, it is topped with a garlic aioli, rich and buttery; then plump bacon strips (no kidding, their bacon is really good); then arugula. Incredible flavor - Lobster BLT: because of the bacon, duh - Lobster grilled cheese: good quality melted cheese, but I much prefer just having it alone (and put the lobster meat in the lobster roll!) - Lobster sliders: mini and cute but you can't survive on just these alone, so might as well get the lobster roll - Shrimp roll: I guess I'm not a big fan of shrimp in sandwiches, especially if there's the option of having lobster in it! I was told they also make a good sausage sandwich, haven't had a chance to order that yet, and I sincerely wish they bring back the homemade chips. Great job Joe and the nice lady whose name I have yet to ask. Please come back to the DFC next year!

I was with a good beer drinking (and brewing) group and since I am not really a beer drinker I was sure hoping for good food. And I got it. I ordered a Sunny BLTA but without the cream cheese. It seemed like there was already plenty on the brioche roll and with the sunny side egg it was moist on its own. The lettuce was arugula, my favorite salad green, and there were several large slices of fresh tomato and avocado on the roll. The bacon (two huge pieces) was cooked just right for a sandwich, chewable and not hard. The grilled roll was nice and soft so you could keep the big pile of filling intact while holding it. I would get it again in a heartbeat. The staff was very friendly, happy to customize my sandwich though very busy. I appreciated that they delivered the food to our table without us having to wait around the truck. I hope to see this truck again at some other event I might get to in the future.
