Great shop got an alignment for a 350z with a angle kit and they did a fantastic job

I had this review at 3 stars and now I'm moving it to a 1 star review. This is because Fonzie said that he was able to fix the rotors and just replace the brake pads on my wife's car when he worked on it August 2022. Fast forward a year later her brakes are bad again. The place I took it to said that the factory seals were still on the rotors therefore there's no way he could have repaired the rotors. So now I have to pay to get the rotors replaced. He charged me for repairing the rotors and replacing the brake pads but he only replaced the brake pads. I'm disappointed because I saw a lot of reviews about honest service but that simply has not been my experience with Mike's brake and alignment. Therefore I do not say this lightly because I do not wish for anyone to lose business or additional work but I simply do not recommend taking your car to this place. read more

Can I give more than 5 stars?? Fonzie did amazing on my car BUT my husband's car has been needing service for some time. He does some maintenance himself but doesn't want to pay someone . He finally agreed it was becoming unsafe and took it to Fonzie. It was less than we feared it would be and the work is phenomenal. It WAS unsafe and Fonzie showed him all the things wrong, how much, and how long. He is our mechanic for life. He's excellent at his work. He's a superb communicator. And he will inspect your car and let you know what is unsafe, needs work, or will need maintenance soon. Maybe you can find cheaper. Is cheap what you want? Trustworthy. Honest. The shop is owned by Fonzie and his wife Lilia. Fonzie is the only mechanic so they are by appointment only. Lilia or Lily is the receptionist/cashier. Good people. It's hard to find a mechanic that can be trusted. It seems like the word "Trust" doesn't exist in this industry. But it does in Mike's Brake and Alignment. A friend of mine recommended Mike's Brake and Alignment. So I went for an oil change and State Inspection. The owner Fonzie mentioned about the belt being cracked so I told him that Firestone had just replaced it few months ago. He said it hasn't been replaced. I asked him to go ahead and replace it but he hesitated. He recommended that I take my car back to Firestone and he would not touch the belt because Firestone might not believe me. So I did. Sure enough, Firestone acknowledged it hasn't been replaced. I felt betrayed because I work right next door to them. The mechanic at Firestone offered to replace the belt. I refuse for them to touch my car ever again. I asked for a refund and they processed. Went back to this shop and have them replaced the belt. Mike's Brake and Alignment is the first shop I found to be trustworthy. Providing you work nearby, you could drop your vehicle in the morning and they will give you a ride to work! For many years my coworkers have been going to Mike's Break & Alignment Shop on Beach. Finally I decided to give them a try. Because my work is close, they gave me a ride to and back from work. I asked if that is normal and they said it depends on the coverage at the shop. No appointments are necessary, but if you make one then they can work around your schedule instead of you around theirs. They will inspect and give you a quote before they do any work. The price of an oil change for synthetic was about eight dollars cheaper than the guy down the street, but the guy down the street is open on the weekends and Mike is not. Twice I have dropped cars off in the morning (about 8am) and got them fixed and back by the end of the day (4pm). Both cars had check engine light issues and they will call and let you know what it needs, how long it will take, and how much, or give you a very close estimate. They are really good about communication and honesty, no secrets here. Today I got the vehicle back with no check engine light on, new fuel pressure sensor, received transmission service with new automatic trans filter kit with new fluid, they cleaned all leak residue and test drove to make sure all was well. The new owners are very kind in the new mechanic is very professional and knows what he is doing his name is Fonzie. This place has saved me a lot of money. Definitely a place where to get your car repairs done at affordably. Due to my finances and crazy work schedule, I had to have my front and rear brakes replaced on different days-weeks aparts and he was graciously accommodating.
