So, of course, we played a few rounds of pool, which was fun. The bone-in wings were a tad dry but the mango habanero sauce made up for it. The more you ate, you could really feel the spice. The only aspect (and this is not the restaurant's issue) that seemed sad was that I mistook a homeless person in the bathroom for an inebriated person from their bar. I later learned that, sadly, Warrensburg receives a small population of these people from Kansas City, which buses them here. Anyhow, that is a side story. My husband ordered the Warrensburger (cute name, btw) and I ordered a Mushroom with Monterey Jack. Both burgers were charred to perfection. He ordered fries, and I ordered a baked mashed potato casserole (I get tired of fries) and unfortunately it wasn't warmed all the way, but it also had way too much black pepper, which I can't have. The waitress wasn't only accommodating and understanding, but made it a point to apologize, and shared apologies from the cook. I told her that there wasn't any need, and that she was very kind. She stepped it up and graced me with a fully loaded baked potato--no issues. In my opinion, this place is better than Domino's and Pizza Hut. I've always liked the complimentary cup of garlic sauce and single pepperoncini that comes with their pizzas. I usually also ask for the crushed red peppers they'll give you upon request. Some of their specials they have from time to time are great. Right now they have the two medium pizzas with any two toppings for $6.99 each. Great deal in my opinion. And they don't go cheap or light on the toppings like some places do when you're getting a deal. I ordered double pepperoni and my pizza was covered with a generous portion. In addition, I've never had a problem with any of the employees at any Papa John's locations I've been to either. The places are always clean. I'm always helped right away. The food has always been great. This location was no different. I'll continue coming back here.
