Got the worst haircut I've ever gotten in my life from sports clips, raced here and got here after they closed, they took me in despite being closed and did an amazing job fixing my hair, then didn't charge me, if I could go back in time I would have come here in the first place and gotten a real hair cut, great job guys! read more

In fifteen years I have never found a barber that I like enough to go back. The stylists at Mike's are friendly and the atmosphere is comfortable. Not too stuffy, not too unprofessional. Also, my son has difficult hair and 95% of the time his hair looks on point. We have had one or two mediocre haircuts here but the good ones outweigh the bad. Also we have rarely had to wait. They have tons of stylists most days. Highly recommend this shop. read more

Never have issues with these guys and Joe has been cutting my hair little over a year now and might I say his Tapers are on point! When you walk in you feel welcomed and it's a nice comfortable setting to the couches to sit in and also the multiple TVs they have on playing sports. Keep it up guys! read more

Let me say first and foremost that I am not your typical internet reviewer nor complainer. I felt the need to post a review because I actually used this forum to seek out a new barber due to my recent move to Mesa. Upon arriving I was greeted very professionally and sat down in the chair. The barber and I discussed what I would have like to have done during my visit, unfortunately there didn't seem to be a lot of options for a package deals for what I was looking for so we settled on a shave and a haircut. The service seem very minimal there wasn't any real offer of any additional services such as shampoo etc. I was just simply unimpressed not to mention the first time anyone has ever cut me while shaving (three times actually). The barber who provided these services was very nice indeed, however she needs to work on her shaving skills a lot and perhaps a little bit more on what services cost and additional charges (a.k.a. fees) will be charged before ringing up the customer. I guess I will continue looking for a new barber. My shave and a haircut cost $45 and I gave $10 as a tip (which looking back now that was way too much) they also to added a $0.75 fee without telling me to simply use a credit card (I assume), this makes them seem cheap and petty to me. read more

Went here looking for a new barber (my long-term barber, Tony Del Greco, recently passed away). No wait, several barbers, many chairs, clean, and the shop is open until 7 PM. And it is convenient for anyone in east Mesa. They even offer a senior rate. However, the quality of the cut was only mediocre, and it doesn't look business-like. My wife had a poor opinion of the way the cut looks. Younger people might like this shop, but it doesn't suit my taste. .After my hair grows back out, I will be hunting for another barber shop, but I doubt I will ever find as good a barber as Tony was. read more

I took my kids to get their haircut there today and the both look so great! But that's not why I'm leaving this review while i was sitting, waiting for my kids to be done i was kind of just observing what was going on around me. The gentlemen in the first station closest to the door was talking to him guest and giving him great suggestions on how to take care of his hair and help his dry scalp. He wasn't trying to sell him anything, he was truly just trying to give his guest some knowledge on how to address something he was struggling with. I read the reviews on yelp and decided to give Mike's a try. Blanca cut my hair. She was very polite and careful with how I wanted my hair. I was happy with my haircut and amazed with the extras they throw in. Shaved my neck in the back and around my ears. She even asked if I wanted my eyebrows trimmed. We have been coming to Mikes since before they moved to this location, years ago. The barbers are the best, very professional, well trained and polite. My boys(3) are all biracial and have some challenging hair to cut, Kim and Sayvien have mastered it without a hitch! What I like most is that if they can"t do what you want or don't know how, they won"t even try. They will figure out who in the shop can take care of you and you will not be disappointed. We just moved here from Tucson. My son complains every week about his hair cuts and sand try's different Barbershops. He has even gone to another on the same day to fix it. He said they don't know how to cut hair right. We had some errands to run, so I went with him to get a hair cut. He went to Mikes and a lady cut his hair. She was from CA. Her name is Dora. She knew the style of cut he was looking for. YEAH!!! She was very nice and did a great job! My son said this is my new barber shop and he will wait for her to be available! Great barbershop! Awesome service, Jason is the guy I see when I go here and he's a master of his craft! The disappointing thing is the heat, it's always hot in there and only the owner is allowed to change the temp settings, so if you go dress for warm temps because it feels like 90 in there all the time! I give this place 2 stars only because of the actual shop. The inside of mikes barber shop has a elegant modern look, its clean, and is well kept up. Following my second haircut and shave here I'm again truly disappointed in the quality of the line-up work on the two separate occasions by the 2 different male employees who cut my hair. Unacceptable. $30+ and a tip for a cut and shave, the quality should reflect.. On both occasions, both barbers shaved my beard half assed, leaving it looking sloppy, uneven, and worst of all just not straight...I still have unshaven stubble on my neck and face too! I shave my face in the mirror at my house with a 50¢ razor and do a better job..As far as the actually haircut it sufficed, but why go to a barbershop where multiple employees can't even line up a beard properly? read more

I'm impressed. I have to say I haven't been to a barber shop in at least 20 years. I always found it difficult to find someone who cut it right so I did a simple hair cut on my self for the last 20 years. But I've been growing a beard for a year now and I'm tired of taking care of both so I got up on my day off and read some reviews and headed to Mikes. Joe is the man you better hang on to this guy.
