Customer service oriented business with professionalism throughout. Nick and team helped with product selection, answered lots of questions, provided installation and then took time explaining the use of the product, including a follow up call days later. The staff are courteous, personable; and most importantly, knowledgeable. The waiting area was comfortably spacious and the restroom was very clean, too. Great customer service and very professional. Ya'll go see Ace so he can get your car right !!!

The radio system in my car controls everything. It won't let me use my phone SOMETIMES. I've asked Mike's to fix it so many times; even wrote a letter asking for help aftervthey gave up andctold me to call the car manufacturers. Their answer: "we all think it's your phone." (it's actually my Dexcom Medical app but that's another story.) Now the radio spontaneously runs through introductory videos over and over and over. That can't be my phone or my app. If I remove the radio my keyless ignition won't work. Anybody want to buy a 2016 Subaru Outback? read more

As a follow up I was contacted by the Better Business Bureau that Mike's Audio would like to speak to me. "Better Business Bureau has received a response from the business to your customer review submission. The response is below: We were recently informed of your review regarding the service you received from our company, and we are genuinely sorry to hear about your negative experience. We always strive to provide the highest level of service to our customers, and it is disheartening to learn that we fell short of your expectations. Firstly, please accept our sincerest apologies for any inconvenience caused during the completion of service. We understand that you had certain expectations, and we regret that we were unable to meet them on this occasion. We take your feedback seriously and will use it to improve our services moving forward. We would appreciate the opportunity to rectify the situation and make things right for you. Our customer satisfaction is of utmost importance to us, and we would like to address the issues you encountered during the service. If you could kindly reach out to the management team at, 225-292-4986 we would be more than willing to discuss the matter further and find a suitable solution." I called as requested and asked for the management team. I was put in touch with Nick. I explained the situation. I stated that I was happy with the salesman's choice of products and the installation. I did state that the salesman did not address additional cables and labor charges and was upset with the lack of communication by the salesman. I also was upset by the additional trip that it took for the Sirius tuner and the additional labor . Nick was very apologetic about the issues that I raised and admitted that this had not been handled correctly or up to their standards. I was basically refunded the cost of the tuner and tuner installation labor. I can honestly say that I feel that the problem was corrected to my satisfaction, and I was treated in a respectable and fair way. Shout out to Nick, thank you for all your help. read more

Went on and on about he has no control after I make my purchase he sits in a mustang ignoring my questions said before the Rockford was better then turns around and demos the hertz he has in his car at this point feel lied to. I referred them because everyone told me they were the best .how do u tell me one thing is the best then go demo other things in your vehicle and tell them that's the best and I asked for the best? Literally the best customer service. They are for real the best. Honest, outgoing, and hard working people! 10/10 recommend this place!!!!

Do not take your car here to have a new sound system installed, you will get screwed. I can no longer use the controls on my steering wheel for anything. My automatic locks randomly lock and unlock while I drive. My radio randomly turns off and every now and then, one speaker goes out and doesn't come back for a while. I have a Nissan Altima that was stocked with a Bose sound system. The speakers needed to be replaced and I wanted to add base and an amp. For the Altima, the entire system has to come out and a whole new one put in. First off, they tried to tell me this wasn't the case. Do your research, it is the case. Bose comes with it's own built in amp. Take the Bose out, no amp people. Then after I told them to take the entire system out and replace it, the problems began. I got my car back and at first it seemed great. A day later, one speaker completely cut out and my windows would not roll down. I took it back, and it was "fixed". A few days later, when I tried to use my Bluetooth from my steering wheel, instead of being able to call someone, the control now honked the horn. Then, the new radio that they put in would randomly turn off. Each time these things happened, I returned for them to fix it, but by the fifth time I went back, I'd had enough. I now just deal with the problems. lesson learned. never use mikes audio. read more

Mikes Audio was so helpful!!!! I walked in onto the store not knowing what radio I wanted for my highlander 2008. So happy with my new radio!! Thanks read more

I went to Mike's Audio on October 20th and spoke to a man named Jared. We discussed my situation, and he told me that the part would arrive in two to three days. After waiting for a week, he told me to check back on this or that day if it hadn't arrived. When I called, he would have people pretend he wasn't there, so I had a friend call from her number to ask for him and he was put on the phone. He still couldn't provide any evidence--not even a tracking number--that he had ordered the part. Instead of holding him responsible when I arrived to speak with Michelle, the manager made up a story about it being out of stock. I am a store supervisor, so you would know that's not how back orders work. You would be informed if it's back ordered, and if it was, I would like to know as soon as possible. You would also at least have a confirmation or tracking number. Please go somewhere else if you have a serious matter! read more

I can tell you that Mikes Audio is second to none in the Baton Rouge area. I have purchased the exact flat screen receiver for multiple vehicles from multiple audio business' with installation. Mikes Audio's price and service was excellent every time. On the vehicles purchased and installed at other businesses, the vehicles had to go back due to installation "issues" taking my time and vehicle down time. I live all the way across town and pass a few car audio places on the way to Mikes but it has served me well. I am about to bring one of my trucks to have a sub box and amp install today and didn't even check others pricing on the Fosgate setup. I hope this helps someone that may be on the fence about dealing with them. Money well spent in my book. read more

I was warned by a few Baton Rouge natives not to take my car to Mike's Audio, and I didn't listen. As a result, I spent far too much money, bought additional, unnecessary parts, and wasted a total of around 13 or 14 hours that could've been spent working on billable jobs for my customers. I don't yet know if my problem is fully resolved, but I do know that I will never set foot in this shop again...unless it's been converted to some other business. My initial visit was to have my audio system reinstalled in a car that I haven't had very long. It was moved from my previous car to this one, but was causing the battery to drain, both overnight, and while I was working at my day job. All of the typical troubleshooting took place over several weeks time. I bought and installed a new battery. I had my alternator checked. I had all wiring to and from my battery rewired, and rewrapped. I ensured that all visible accessory components were turned off while the car was parked. I ensured that my aftermarket Memphis amp wasn't causing the problem by removing its fuse, and unhooking it altogether. The only time the battery drained was when my Pioneer deck was plugged in. I unplugged the deck and drove the car for about a month with no battery issues at all. I explained the problem, and was assured that Mike's Audio had the tools to resolve the issue. After a very long wait they returned my car to me, I paid my hefty (considering I had almost all of the components already, and they were in place--they just need to be connected correctly) installation bill, and went on my way. The very next day my car began to die again after being parked overnight, and during my work days. I returned to Mike's and was assured, once again, that they had the tools and resources to resolve my issue. After around six hours of sitting in their waiting area, one of the clerks came to tell me that there was nothing wrong with my installation, and that my car was the problem, and that they could no longer continue to work on it. So, I asked for a refund on the installation. They weren't willing to make the refund, and told me that the installation was fine. They said that my battery wasn't holding a steady charge with or without with Pioneer deck installed. I asked them to show me what they meant, but they were unable to do that. Each time they tested the battery while I was watching, it held steady. They claim that when I wasn't watching it was jumping from below 6 volts to just under 12 volts constantly, with or without the radio plugged in, but each time they attempted to test the battery in my presence, the symptoms simply disappeared. I don't know if they were lying to me, or if they were simply confused, or if they'd even tested this theory before refusing to finish their work. All I know is that what they were telling me obviously was not the case. In any event, they weren't willing to continue trying to fix their issue that afternoon. They removed the fuse from my Memphis amp, and sent me on my way. Needless to say my car died, and continued to die, beginning the very next day. After some suggestions from friends, I removed the fuse that powered my factory amp, and, while there was no sound for obvious reasons, the deck continued to power on, and function properly while the car continued to crank, day after day. As a result, I returned to Mike's Audio today, but this time I was able to speak with Nick, the manager on duty. Nick was very apologetic, and assured me that this was an easy fix, and told me that he didn't understand why it hadn't been fixed already. He took my keys, and personally drove my car into the shop. Only a couple of hours later, he returned my car and told me that they had bypassed the factory amp, and that if that is indeed the problem, it should work fine. So far, so good, but I can't let this experience go without completing this review. I will not be a customer of Mike's Audio ever again. I would urge anyone who's considering having audio work done to look beyond Mike's Audio. I don't know Baton Rouge very well, but I feel confident in saying that Baton Rouge MUST have a better alternative to Mike's Audio. Mike's Audio cost me a ton of money, and a ton of billable time from my work to give me horrible, dishonest, service. I highly recommend staying away from Mike's Audio. read more

I'll have to say I was nervous about taking my car there for a repair on my cars Viper setup after reading other people's reviews, but they really were pretty good. The service was professional, they knew what needed to be done when they gave me an estimate and the fee was better then I thought it would be. So if anyone needs service with a Viper product (car alarms or car starters), I recommend Mike's Audio. read more

You are a fool if you go near this place!!! My wife and I dropped off our motor home, we had just purchased, to Mike's Audio on or about June 11th 2015. We were called to pick it up on July 31,2015. We drove 85 miles to pick it up. We sat in their waiting area for at least six [6] hours to find out the motor home had issues and we were asked to return on Saturday August 1st. Again after waiting for half the day, they hurried us off their lot after paying them $1189.19 on a Discover Card at time of closing. As I drove off the curb at their shop, all of the components that Mike had installed shut down. I stopped the last employees and asked what should I do now? Their answer was," NOT MY PROBLEM." This must be what Mike Rusk touts as "Electronics Done Right." ??? In driving the 85 miles home again, we had an appointment at a shop in Kenner to clear-coat the front and rear caps. when we arrived, the motor home dash was dark, we had no rear lights or turn signals, the batteries were boiling, the inverter was burning up, at least a half dozen fuses were blown, best of all, wires were burning under the dash console and other areas that Mike tried to tap power from. Several wires were left bare where they had been stripped to find power and were shorting out. It had just begun to rain when we found that the power for the brand new GPS they had installed was wired to the windshield wiper motor. Picture an 8-1/2 foot wide by 4-1/2 foot single glass wall and the wipers stop in a storm on a 38 ft.vehicle in a instant torrential rain storm. If I hadn't stopped just when I did, I might easily been killed on the road. The bill for this totally unprofessional work and considering that I supplied Mike with the GPS, Subwoofer kit, Radio face Sirius tuner, Hot Spot, the parts charges are erroneous as most all the parts listed on his invoice [$232.50] are included with the equipment I supplied. All in all, these people have proved that they are liars and thieves! Mikes CUSTOM INSTALL of a new $500.00 Garmin Motor home GPS is: a piece of scrap wood, 3 dry wall screws, and a glob of black silicone, yet they charged for a $20.00 piece of black Plexiglas to make the job look good. Just another bogus charge. A self contained subwoofer came with mounting shoes, but they just forced it in place without any mounting, then charged for a volume control that was in the kit. I wrote a letter to Mike Rusk, but never received any reply. Instead he had his office girl write a letter to Discover claiming they should be paid. Since Discover has no authority to hold his money, they paid him, even though the people at Discover asked him to settle with us, he never responded to two letters I wrote him, one to his home In all 9 hours minimum were spent in cutting out shorts in wiring. Two new coach batteries were needed as they were both bulging from being boiled due to incorrect wiring. Our motor home was within minutes of burning up on a drive from Mike's shop in Baton Rouge to Kenner, 65 miles, yet this thief and liar refuses to respond at all except to get paid!!! Never even think you are being told the truth if you are stupid enough, as I was, to go to a place that should be put out of business for fraud. REMEMBER, the salesman you are working with is on commission, so is the installer. They will take every shortcut they can to put more in their pockets. I nearly lost my life and a $100,000 motorhome due to Mike's lack of being a human being. We have pictures and video of Mike's [ Jive Turkey ] work! THEY SHOULD GET NO [0] STARS!!! I Recently was in the market for a new audio system. After shopping around and comparing prices Mike's Audio was definitely the one to go with. Not only were there prices reasonable they were the only ones to greet me when I walked in, Gave me the most options and have the product available in stock. They listened to my concerns and helped me from the time I walked in to the time my install was complete. When I was there I also learned they did Home Audio.I am considering on getting speakers throughout my home and also an alarm system for my truck soon I will definitely use Mike's Audio for all my audio needs read more

I give them 0 stars. I brought in my 2008 Altima coupe to have the Bose system replaced after I blew my speakers. Since then I have been back at least 4 times for the following problems: window controls stopped working, the sub randomly going out, the steering wheel controls- my seek control honks the horn and my volume controls only turn the volume down, the right front speaker goes out, if I change the song on the unit, it will freeze and turn completely off, sometimes when I go to change the song it will freeze on the current one, and half the time it takes three tries for my iPod to be read. Will be buying a new deck and taking it to David's Car Stereo to be fixed. So the word I'm using to describe mikes is heinous. read more

Came here to get a new stereo installed in my 2007 Honda Accord. Spent almost $300 to get the stereo and 4 speakers installed. I supplied the radio and speakers i only needed them to install it. Everything was brand new they took it straight out of the box to install it. The guy at the counter was nice he told me it would only take an hour or two. I dropped my car off to them and came back 3 hours later and it still had not even been taken to the back. Two hours later i was handed the keys 5 minutes to closing. I got two blocks up the street and suddenly there was static and the speakers cut out. I took it back first thing the next morning and dropped it off on my way to work. Came back on my lunch break 5 hours later and it was ready. By the time I got off at 7 the speakers had cut off again but of course they were closed. By now im pissed and tired of dealing with this. It was obviously a wiring issue. The next day i returned demanding an explanation as to why the installer could not seem to take his time to figure out & fix the problem after I had spent nearly $300 & left my car with them twice for more than 4 hours. The guy at the counter asked for my keys and I ended up spending another hour waiting for the installer to take another look at it. Long story short i left that day and had the same problem. I took it to the Asian guy at ET electronics on Florida. Paid the guy $5 to take a look at it. He went in and tweaked a couple wires near the speakers and behind the radio. I drove away and haven't had a problem since. read more

Went in yesterday to purchase a 12" p1 sub. Absolutely horrible customer service. Most unapproachable rep ever. I wanted to ask some questions to educate myself on a little on the sound system I'm installing and before I really even asked he's looking at me as if I am retarded. This person probably just lose his company quite a bit of money because now all my business will go to any other competitor. Today I will be bringing my system somewhere else to be installed thanks to this representative (face of the business) I will be going elsewhere instead of going back to mikes car audio. Might just bring this sub back and purchase it elsewhere too read more
