My insurance company ultimately totaled the truck. When I informed Toussaint Customs, they presented me with a $2,400 storage bill -- for a vehicle they were explicitly asked not to hold, on which no actual repair work was ever performed. To put that number in perspective: it is $600 less than the original repair estimate, and $900 more than State Farm's payout on the total loss. I explained my situation plainly. I am a disabled veteran, a single father of two, and a full-time college student working two jobs. My truck is not a convenience -- it is how I get to work, to school, and to care for my children. I was met with sympathy at first. Once it became clear there was money to extract, that sympathy disappeared entirely. Toussaint Customs ignored a direct customer request, performed zero work, and is now demanding nearly $2,400 in fees from someone already dealing with the aftermath of an accident they didn't cause. I would strongly caution anyone -- especially those navigating insurance claims or tight financial situations -- to think carefully before bringing their vehicle here. P.S. the owner, Marcus Toussaint, would like it to be known that he was willing to help, before I shared my experience with y'all, not anymore; so long as I gave him as much as my lawyer was willing to advance from my injury claim, or as much as "Snap Finance" would let me borrow at an unreasonable interest rate. Then after plucking the keyboard, Agent said, "oh, here it is; you're good." Now I'm questioning 1) whether I paid for a service I didn't get, 2) if the service techs screwed up my paperwork last visit, or 3) if the Price LeBlanc service agents are told to "SELL SELL SELL" regardless of whether the vehicle needs it. However, I had a bad experience this time. That pushed me to finally go see what other options were available. My plan was to go to AllStar Hyundai first, and then go to Team Honda, I never made it to Team Honda though because my experience at AllStar with Aaron Hilliard was absolutely incredible. I walked in and he greeted me immediately. I told him I was interested in Elantra's and Sonata's. He took me out to the Elantra they had available and we took a test drive. He was very knowledgeable about the car. I'm going to phrase it like this "he knew his shit" lol. Afterwards, I let him know about the unique situation I was in and he worked with me and still got me into that beautiful Elantra. My grandma had to be involved but she didn't get off until 5 o'clock and Mr. Aaron was so accommodating, he got everything ready prior, so by the time she got there, all she had to do was sign some paperwork and we were good to go. One of the guys that handles the finances, was pretty great as well. Definitely knowledgeable, but definitely a "chatty Cathy" too lol. Boy did he talk. He explained in thorough detail, every single feature of the car before letting us sign the financial paperwork. So if you're into that type of thing, he's your guy. He's got brown hair, and wears glasses. Unfortunately I can't remember his name. Overall, my experience at AllStar Baton Rouge was absolutely incredible. I would highly suggest them to anyone.

The problem was that the insurance company never physically inspected my car--they only looked at photos--which is why I was told to go to Gerber for a real in-person estimate. However, when I arrived, the receptionist told me that a second estimate would likely be even higher than the one insurance had already given me, and therefore would not take a look at my car. I left feeling extremely frustrated and disappointed. Not the experience I expected. I just went further down Siegan to Collision Works, who took me in without a heartbeat!! They had such an amazing attitude and highly recommend going there instead.
