This is our favorite brunch in Fred…read more Sam has taken care of us many times and she's wonderful! The whole staff here is top notch. They updated their porch to have more coverage which will be great once summer really hits. Inside is great too. We've sat in all the areas. We went all out for our brunch date (mom & dad time out). Cold brew with vanilla, caramel iced latte... yummmm! We started with zucchini fries and they were hot, crunchy and delicious. I had the brunch burger (it was huge!) with sweet potato fries. I love their sweet potato fries. Husband tried the special- biscuit love - says it's good for anyone who loves gravy and brunch dessert was the banana French toast - we got the banana on the side and a side of berries. Yum yum yum. Soft and pillowy. Thank you Sam! See you soon :)

I ordered the Eggs Benedict, substituting bacon for ham, with a biscuit and gravy on the side. The Eggs Benedict was good. I loved the unexpected touch of Swiss cheese, which added a nice twist to a classic dish. The hollandaise was a little on the sour side, but the bacon was cooked perfectly. The biscuit and gravy was the real star of my meal, so good that I almost wish I had ordered it as my main! Definitely getting that next time. My husband went for The Big Ass Sandwich and loved it. Fair warning- it lives up to its name. It's big, it's messy, and it's absolutely worth it. He said the same thing I was thinking: we need to come back. We'll definitely be returning on our next trip to Fredericksburg. Highly recommend if you're looking for a great breakfast spot with good food and even better service!

My first time at this cozy place and I was impressed. We came for an early lunch and the food was…read moreexcellent. They started us out with fresh pita with a small sampler plate with Lemon Kavush, Tahini, Matbuha, and Shug (on the house). All were excellent. We ordered "Hummus the Works" which included caramelized onions, parsley, Grilled Beef and Lamb. The flavor of the hummus and the beef were great. Highly recommended with the fresh pita bread. I think I licked the plate clean with the remaining pita bread. I also ordered the Baba Ghanoush and it tasted like the eggplant was smoked on a grille, an extra touch. We also ordered the "Wine Short Rib Cigars" and that was a table favorite as well. My son ordered the kids Pita Bread Pizza and he seemed to eat the entire thing including the crust. Generally he only eats the cheesy parts of the pizza and avoids the edge crust. I will try to go back during dinner time to try their dinner Menu.

Cafe Dimona describes itself as Mediterranean (3 mentions on the www site, including "heart of…read moreMediterranean cuisine"), but it is better described as "Israeli." The menu is limited, which could be a good thing since it indicates that they're cooking from scratch, but it's also unnecessarily limited. For example, the schnitzel, which is apparently very good, is not available for dinner - only lunch. Because it's a small place, they can easily run out of items. We (usually) like lamb, and the kebab with couscous looked like a good choice. However, the couscous was very bland and we wished the same for the lamb. Rolled into 3 turd-like pieces, it had an odd flavor and a strong latent heat that took away from the rest of the dish. The eggplant baladi was a whole eggplant cooked to mush, swimming in oil and covered with a ton of cilantro (like almost everything else - moderation would have helped). The hummus with the works apparently had lamb and beef, but the cooked-to-dryness pile of meat made it impossible to distinguish and the cilantro was excessive. The hummus itself was great and the bread was very good. Overall, aside from the service and the hummus, the experience was (hopefully) forgettable.

This beautiful little restaurant is located right underneath a little hotel apartment that I…read moreregularly visit with my friends. I was very excited to write this review about the positive experience and I had here. In my images, I showcase a beautiful French omelette. It is so easy for people to get omelettes wrong and overcook them until they are a rubbery mess. But mine was very soft, decadent, and fluffy with a very beautiful balance of all flavors present in the dish. I also appreciated the salad that came with it because I think starting the day off with some fiber is very healthy for the body. In the past, I've had the steak and eggs and it was one of the most delicious things I've ever eaten. But when I came to visit on this specific day, they were out and happily recommended the omelettes instead. It can get crowded, but I don't agree with the reviews here that say the restaurant gets too loud. Let's be honest. Fredericksburg has a certain type of demographic and at times I feel they are unfairly nitpicky to the local businesses. When the restaurant is crowded, it's lively and full of smiling faces and servers who are eager to serve and make sure that you enjoy your meal. Restaurant was also clean on our visit and the restrooms were well taken care of. I can't wait to come again for breakfast!
