We walked around on the grounds and noticed that there is a separate patio and a bathroom with seating outside. The women's bathroom was clean. Now to the restaurant. We walked in the restaurant and it wasn't very big. You could see the menu on the wall, the ordering counter was close, the food pickup counter was next to the ordering counter, the seating was in the middle, and the bar at the other end. After walking in and checking out the menu we walked up to the ordering counter. The person that took our order was friendly and patient with me. I wanted the El Burger that was listed on the menu but I didn't notice that it's only available on Wednesdays. The person told me that so I checked the menu out again to see what burger I wanted. I decided on LeRoy's Smash Burger which comes with smashed brisket patties, pickles, bacon & onion jam. I ordered mine without cheese. It came with a choice of a side so my husband and I picked the potato salad to share. I also wanted to try the Smoked Pork Belly Menudo which substitutes the traditional tripe meat with smoked pork belly. This came with onions, cilantro, and chopped jalapenos that you could add if you wanted. My husband and I decided to share LeRoy's Nachos which has tortilla chips covered in beans, queso, avacado, pico, crema, salsa, BBQ sauce and jalapenos. These come with your choice of meat and we decided on brisket. My husband ordered one taco to try called Chancho La Panza which comes with pork belly, beans, cilantro, and queso fresco. The Food. LeRoy's Smash Burger was delicious. I liked the flavor of the meat and the jam. The potato salad had a mustard flavor to it which I didn't mind. The Nachos were tasty. The BBQ sauce in them gave them a hint of sweetness in the midst of all of the saltier ingredients. The Menudo was spicy. I wasn't expecting it to be so hot but it was tolerable. The smoked pork belly mixed in the soup was good. There was also a crunchy texture mixed in that added to the experience. I tried my husband's pork taco and it was delightful. There was so much flavor packed into a single taco. Overall the experience was positive. The restaurant was small but comfortable, the service was good and the food was fresh and delicious.

AMAZING BRISKET!!!! Just incredible!! I stumbled on this gem by accident - wasn't even sure what…read morekind of establishment it was - was actually looking for coffee LOL! Took a chance and went in Bc it looked so inviting and I was worn out from all the driving on the Willow City Loop checking out the wildflower superbloom. They had 2 things on the menu (they're very new - just opened a few weeks ago) - pulled pork sandwich or bbq brisket sandwich. I opted for the brisket and HOLY COW - I grew up in Texas and Lousiana and this might actually take the top spot as best brisket I've EVER had!!! It's soft and just melts in your mouth - smoked and cooked flawlessly - and the sauce - perfect blend of Smokey bbq flavor and a slight hint of hot spicy bite - it was just phenomenal. Mike knows what he's doing behind the pit to be sure!! And it comes piled so high on that lovely Texas toast that there's no way you'll be eating it with your hands - you're gonna need tools lol! It comes with chips - and this day I had a choice of additional side btwn Blue Apple Slaw (which was coleslaw with blue cheese, apples, walnuts etc) and Mexican Street Corn. I opted for the corn Bc I am not a fan of blue cheese. So - the corn threw me off a bit - I was expecting it to be warm but it was cold?? Once my brain got over the confusion I liked it lol! It had cilantro and tomatoes and a nice dressing - it was more like a kind of corn salad - pretty good! I did hear them accommodating a couple that came in and didn't want bbq so they may have other choices - like for picky eaters or kids for example - such as ham and cheese I think. The staff were so so sweet and friendly - totally warm and charming! The location is kinda out of the way - it's very rural which I imagine is why they're only open on weekends. But it's absolutely perfect if you're visiting the area to drive the Willow City Loop for the views and wildflowers- Bc there isn't really anything else around there in terms of businesses. They had plenty of parking on a gravel lot. Bathrooms were cute and spotless. The cafe itself is too cute and the ambiance is very comfy - lots of cozy seating and nice windows - felt like I was eating at family's house! They also had some nice outside seating but was too chilly for me.

One…read moreway was the wildflowers and one was a small, nice looking building of some sort and I thought I saw someone standing at a microphone singing, so we put the flowers on hold and turned right. Turns out it was a restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. The musicians were singing outside in the seating area so we entered the building to find a nicely clean place that smelled slightly of brisket and BBQ. Bathrooms were spotless, always a critical part of my reviews because it shows how they do business. Small menu; brisket or pulled pork sandwich, Ribeye steak sandwich or pizza. Some unique sides are also on the menu as you get two with each entrée ordered. We chose the brisket sandwich with unique corn and potato salad. The DW had the apple/blue cheese sloe slaw and the corn too. The sides were great; different than normal and unique flavors that worked well together. The brisket was good but I have to say the day before I had Franklin's brisket in Austin and as most of you know, it's rated the best in the US most times. It is tough to follow up a world class BBQ joint like that. The meat was tender, a little on the dry side but it was early morning and they were just getting started. The 4 star rating was for two things; one the service was slow but they have a Chef that was doing the kitchen and the wine bar and a server/order taker. Twenty minutes was not too bad when you think about it. The Chef came outside and checked on everyone which we thought was nice. The second thing was they put BBQ sauce on my brisket sandwich. NEVER, NEVER put sauce on the sandwich, put it on the side and let the customer decide. The sauce was good but it hides the true flavor of the brisket. The entertainment was nice. Two Texas Country guys starting out sang with just a guitar covering some on the original work and covers for others. One of them; Clay Caster, has promise with a smooth voice and good stage presence. Try this place, I'll come back and with time they will sort everything out.

Bankersmith takes advantage of that situation in order to scam people to showing up for their "events." We saw an "All you can eat crawfish festival" on VetTix. Signed up and thought we were lucky enough to get 4 tickets for an all you can eat crawfish festival We drive 2 hours to get there. At the door, we are told our tickets are just good for entrance, but the all you can eat crawfish is 40 dollars per person. However they did give us each a free ticket for a sangria. The was no festival. There was a mediocre one man guitar show, but otherwise this was just a dive bar. Admission for a dive bar? No large pot of crawfish anywhere. Seems they were doing HEB crawfish packs in the back. I went back and forth with the lady doing "admission." She seemed kind of upset she was doing this to people. Said she would upgrade our sangria tickets to beer tickets. Immediately after getting past admission, another vet customer came up and asked, "You thought this was on VetTix for all you can eat too?" I said yes. They said they drove for 2.5 hours. They were kinda pissed to. I mean, we are grateful to get free stuff, but when you drive 2+ hours because you think you are getting a great deal and then find out it's a ticket to get into a dive bar... that kinda sucks. So... we went to the bartender and ordered a couple of drafts. We saw the plastic tank of sangria and the tiny glasses they were handing it out in. Glad we we got upgraded to beer. She handed over the beers and we handed over the tickets and she looked confused. She said, "oh... okay." I asked what was wrong. I said the lady at the front said we could upgrade for beers. She then said, "OH. YOU ARE THOSE PEOPLE" really loudly. Way to make people feel welcome. Was planning to tip bigly for the free beers at least, but not after that. We drank our beers quickly and left. It's been a few weeks. Reported to VetTix. Saw they are still doing "all you can eat" festivals of various kinds. do not recommend. p.s. There is a petting zoo for the kids. A few cute animals. Drawback, the outdoor area smells like poo.

The man out front was very friendly and helpful and directed us inside, even telling us that our one friend was allowed to be the designated driver and could choose not to participate in the tasting. Once inside, we were shown to an area with a standing tasting counter. Our server was nice but at times brusque, and immediately the wine club membership was promoted and was repeatedly brought up throughout the tasting. When we decided not to pursue the membership, our server seemed a bit annoyed at us. The wines were tasty, with my favorites being the Muscat and the Riesling. The ours were generous and we were having a good time. However when a few more people showed up, we were pretty rudely asked by staff to move to make space for them and had to condense our group together and share the hooks for hanging our bags. We were not taking up multiple areas and had been in a one spot per person area prior to their arrival, so that was not a pleasant experience. Overall, the wine was nice and the experience was good, but I wish the service had been a bit more pleasant.

I was interested in gaining access to the restaurant and attempted to get basic information about their membership process. Their website was difficult to navigate and offered little clarity, so I reached out directly. I began texting with a representative named Jessica. I asked two simple questions: What is the process to join, and is there a fee? Instead of answering either question, she redirected me toward a wine tasting -- something I did not ask about and had no interest in. I asked again. Same questions. No answers. Just deflection. I was then contacted by phone by another woman. I gave her the same opportunity -- twice. What is the membership process, and what does it cost? Again, I was met with passive-aggressive, dismissive responses. Something as straightforward as explaining a joining process and disclosing a price point should not be a difficult ask. I was not haggling. I was not complaining about cost. Money is not the issue. I simply wanted to know what was required to access the restaurant. Neither representative could -- or would -- give me a straight answer. That level of evasiveness and condescension is unacceptable, regardless of how upscale an establishment believes itself to be. If this is how potential members are treated before they've even walked through the door, I want no part of it. Grape Creek Winery lost a customer before they ever had one. Do better.
