Mike had worked on my guitars for many many years before he passed but I'm happy to report that the business has remained in the family and it is every bit as good as it has always been. They just refretted and pleked a Japanese violin bass for me and it plays amazingly. I played it nearly continuously for 3 days after I got it back. Thanks so much for continuing the great work of your father.

Received a guitar from Reverb purchase which arrived damaged in shipping. Took it to Mike Lull's where their MAGICIANS did some serious repair magic. The damage is 100% undetectable. I had known Mike since the late '70's and through the years to his recent passing. Have always taken my guitars there and will continue to do so as his son's and crew do their founder proud. A+!

1978 Rickenbacker 4001 Bass Guitar

Here's the real bass lowdown, in June 2021 I bought a 1978 Rickenbacker 4001 bass guitar that was in mint condition on the outside, when I took her to my Olympia guitar luthier he said "you've got real problems with some wiring and the dual truss rods ain't working and the neck is bowed", Little did I know that it was a journey that would take almost a year to fix and almost $500, 'cuz she was hurting on the inside. I found a company in England that produced new Rickenbacker truss rods and had them shipped to me. I called several Luthier's locally but they wouldn't touch a 44-year-old Rickenbacker, I finally called the Mike Lull shop in Bellevue, WA. and they said "yeah bring her in we'll take a look at her" now mind you that guitar shop is almost 100 miles away from me, boy was that drive worth it. You're immediately greeted by Mike's sons Spencer and Preston who are just two of the nicest guys you could ever meet, Preston took my guitar back to the luthier just to see if it was fixable and I heard some low down bass sounds and Preston came back and said "Yep, we can do it, we'll call you in a month when it's done". I Picked her up today, she has been reborn, and I owe it all to the great people at Mike Lull's guitar shop. Thank you Spencer, Preston, and the unknown master luthier, I will think of you every time I'm bringing the low end to the jam.

A day after picking my guitar up, I noticed the body had several scratches/dings as well as a chip on one of the volume nobs. Take your instrument elsewhere. These guys are clearly clumsy/uncaring when handling customer's gear...

quite a drive for me living just south of Olympia, but well worth it, next time will give myself…read moremore time to enjoy the area & this amazing music shop. found Crossroads had the Martin in stock I was looking for thru the Martin website, had tried a big box music store near Seattle but pretty much ignored so walking into Crossroads & immediately greeted & attended to by Sara, one of the owners of the "mom & pop" musical instrument shop was very pleasant. The Martin Jr in stock was hanging with the other guitars was ready to play & she set me up to try it out. They had a good selection Martin accessories including a good assortment of guitar strings including the Martin brand so I also bought a spare set of the Martin LifeSpan Phosphor Bronze Light strings. I was short on time so did not get a chance to fully take in the ambience & experience of Dan & Sara's music store, but reading up on Crossroads before hand on their website & stepping into their store, I felt the warm embrace of some good vibes, and appreciate their community involvement in local music events in this very charming waterfront town. I like contributing to local businesses so I not only walked away with a very nice Martin acoustic electric guitar, it felt rewarding to give back. I hope to explore more of the Washington peninsula & look forward taking more time visiting Port Townsend & Crossroads Music.

Great selection! They had many more Ukes than your average Guitar Center and many higher end models…read moreincluding KK and Martin that can be hard to find even in Seattle and Bellevue. I new nothing about guitars and wanted to buy one as gift for my nephew (Professional guitar…read moreplayer, Jazz & other stuff) . After my first visit at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar, it was overwhelming with the amount types and prices. The staff there gave me some ideas on how to narrow down to one guitar. After my third visit, I bought one (Parlor acoustical guitar) and he was totally surprised on his birthday. Said he felt like teenager again getting his first guitar. Loves the type and quality of the guitar. The staff there was great, never felt pushed just to buy a guitar, they just wanted to make sure it was the right one. Appreciate the professionalism and guidance. Alex and Brady were a great help and special thanks to Alex, he was super patient with all my questions and played lots of guitars for me to listen to. It was a great experience and HIGHLY recommend Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar.

Don't bring your repairs here. I just had my second experience having my repair forgotten about in…read morethe queue. I was quoted 2-3 weeks, when I followed up 2 months later they discovered that the unit had been sitting ready for pickup for a long time and no one reached out to me to tell me it was ready. If I had to guess, it seems like the repair folks are swamped with work and that they're constantly asked to prioritize items that are going to the sales floor over local customer repairs. Sad, this used to be my favorite shop in Seattle. Now it feels like they target the tech-salary or boomer collector over working musicians, and all the charm and relatability is gone. Won't be back.
